  • David Carradine and Richard Roundtree are a film duo who could have done something really great... so how did they end up in this picture?!?

  • seems like the plot for an Evangelion episode. XD

  • 1:47 Would you say he got the shaft? :D

  • wow, those people don't know how to use machine guns

  • Well it isn't even close to Dragon Slayer, but it look's okay, the Winged monster has a dumb looking head, and wasn't detailed enough to me.

  • I SAW THIS MOVIE IN A THEATER IN MANHATTEN ON A HOT SUMMER DAY IN 1983 THOSE WERE THE DAYS BAD SPECIAL EFFECTS BUT WHAT CAN U EXPECT IT WAS THE 80SSSS VHSSS

  • This was how you make a B grade movie. Yeah, it was cheap, but it was competent. Friday the 13th,Halloween,and,there were many from the late 70's through the early 80's that had that combination of thrills, chills and humor,to get us in the movie houses for some fun.

  • yeah there was a thing called missiles and jets and anti aircraft guns and did i mention missiles? but they decided to plop a couple mexicans with smgs ontop of a skyscraper. makes sense

  • omg where can i watch this?

  • 1:40 AHHHHH!! XD

  • Just watched this and... eh. Not really what I was expecting. The creature and stop-motion are decent enough (no Ray Harryhausen, but still good, though Q should have had a more feathery appearance), but I found it difficult to follow the story. They also seemed to focus on the wrong characters at the wrong times. Q also didn't get enough screen time, and was killed relativly easily. -_-

Overall, I give this film a... C+; not too bad, but could still have been A LOT better.

  • @Scotttjt the acting looks pretty bad

  • SHAFT! The creature wasn't bad except the head needed some detailing, it was kinda plain looking.

  • I loved this from the very first time I saw it way back in the 80's !

  • @RomeroSaviniZombi u remember toooo?? those were the days right..

  • An awesome creature feature with a great cast.

  • been looking for this movie for three years and i can't find it.

  • @Themaniacnextdoor hey dude this movie is at walmart.com for 9 dollars and 96 cents

  • @25thesnake I don't shop at Walmart. Personally, i'm trying to boycott it.

  • The skinning scene in this movie was brutal.

  • WHAT WOULD QUETZALCOATL DO

  • Love this film. Classic low budget monster flick from the early 80s.

  • Remember watching this when I was like, 4. Good movie :)

  • Carradine should just have taken it for a night on the town.

No way would it have survived!

  • Oh no! it's got SHAFT!!!!

  • Q33NYC

  • haha, this movie used to scare the sheet out of me when I was a kid...ahhh, the joy of simplicity as a kid!

  • sadly all the clips of Q they show are the only ones really in the film lol

  • This movie was a piece of crap.

  • What video source did you get the trailer from ?

  • Check out former MLB player Ron Cey at 2:21!!!

  • Looks more like a winged raptor to me.

  • I saw it on the big screen as part of cult film marathon in Tucson a few yrs back. I love the aged reels they used, the water had a red hue to it. Pretty kick ass on the big screen. If you ever see it on a playlist near you...make it a point to see it. You won't be sorry at all.

The aerial shots used around the Twin Towers and the rest of the buildings, are out of this world.

  • @Dayofthedead1976 I must have this movie just because of the NYC Skyline ;)

  • moriarty is god

  • Thanks Duncan Trussell for mentioning this on the Rogan Podcast.

  • Man, the name cast must've really needed the money to be in this thing.

  • don't they have fighter jets?

  • Stay your positions !!! (giant plastiline monster enters)

  • Michael Moriarty plays piano and sings in this film. The style of music sounded like some off-shoot of jazz. What ever it was; it soundeded pretty cool.

  • Classic Larry Cohen. Love this film. I remember seeing it on HBO back in the day and loving it.

  • ! lol !

    This Movie Was So Funny.

  • the real 9/11

  • @FearlessHQ No ,it's not... It's a Dragon movie.

  • @Occhublu I know dumbass im just saying the dragon killing the buildings was the real 9/11 ive seen this movie i own the special edition godammit

  • @FearlessHQ So you mean that the Dragon, destroying the building, was the reason thousands died in Empire State building? You say it's a movie AND you say the dragon was the real reason of 9/11... Make up your mind. Is this real or not? And by the way 9/11 didn't happend it the year 1982. You from the US should know this...!

  • @Occhublu I KNOW!!!! listen man it was just a joke. Flying things causing mayhem in New York! Ok? Geez,

  • @FearlessHQ lmao! I was just messing with you bro xD Hope you're not mad at me hehe ;P

  • @Occhublu -.-

  • @FearlessHQ ;D

  • who voiced the narrator?

  • fine cast, Moriarty is outstanding, really offbeat characters, terrific dialogue make this an outstanding addition to the monsters on the loose genera. Loose, hip and decidedly different.

  • Just bought this film, and watched it. It's really excellent - cleverly filmed and atmospheric. Lovely looking monster. I was taken with its rather unceromnial demise.

    Fully recommend it.

  • Quetzalcoqt

  • Heavens to Ed Wood Jr! Over the top & cheesy special effects...but what a rip roaring & rootin tootin trailer! I saw part of this movie last year on a cable channel. Oddball stuff to say the least....a bit unerving to see a counterculture fella like the late David Carradine as a world weary & cynical cop! THANKS for posting this! Awesome 80's schlock! :)

  • It's a Larry Cohen classic.

  • CHEESY BUT FUN LOOKING TRAILER

  • crappy godzilla imitator

  • That's a crap looking dragon.

  • @boardskins YEAH BUT THE MOVIE LOOKS FUN THOUGH

  • ALL HAIL QUATZALCOATL

  • LLOOOLLL

  • for 1982 the effects are ok

  • for a low budget yes!

  • Actually, the movie was weird. A worshipers cult was sacrificing people for this demon to live. It just appeared and ate anyone that was off ground level. I wont spoil the end but, the weirdest part was when the statue of liberty was moved!! If you like weird movies about legendary creatures thats a beast checkout "Razorback" that was a good 1.

  • Of course Michael fucking Moriarty would be responsible.

  • The day time is not really ideal for any monster. like they say darkness hides many sins and for this movies sake that could help

  • it was called the "quanzle-cult" it was weird but a remake should b off the chain.

  • Quetzacotl

  • @KeemLegendPA This is a remake of an old movie called The Flying Serpent.

  • This was probably the first movie I remembered. Of course I was 5 at that time. I don't understand what they were saying but I like the creature and the toilet and the water fountain that I could not reach and the popcorn. hahah! I was 5 I miss that night so memorable.

  • He only wants 1 million tax free dollars? ....seem like the joke they do in Austin powers.

  • This film rules

  • Looks like a cool movie. And with violence!!!

  • The Winged Serpent indeed rules! Great trailer for a great B monster movie, which amazingly plays as an almost standard NYC cop film, with a flying serpent of course, hee hee! Nice cast and those old stop motion animation FX are nice to see after the usual overdone CGI today. Must see for horror fans and certainly Larry Cohen fans but it is quirky. Thanks for posting!

  • haha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh shit!!!!! this i have to see!!!!! 5 stars for posting the best movie trailer ive ever seen!

  • Hey Darron - Moriarty is the man, hey? ;)

  • Oh fuck no! I'm sure he's a nice man, but his character in this film grated my nerves !!

  • He was likeable in the stuff
