I would love Apple to introduce a mid tower. Similar spec to the iMac as a base config, up to maybe a core2quad, with easiy replaceable graphics card and hard disk (a bit like the G4 Cube). It may take some low end Mac Pro sales, but it would be a switcher's machine. Most PC power users love the customisability of their PCs. If Apple were to allow the same, then they would definitely get more switchers.

i was in best buy the other day and they dropped the price of the macbook pro and imac. macbook pro was 1800 and i mac 24 was 1600. we just bought an imac and so i tild my mom and she asked apple and they told her they rnt doin anyhing

Thanks DRBUK, I read about New displays sizes too, there going to discontinue the 23-inch and coming out with a 24-inch and a 32-inch I believe and a 30-inch but I did a little more digging and I found out that Apple may bring out new displays when they finished developing Resolution independence support in Snow Leopard and then Apple will release a ultra-high resolution display and i'm willing to wait.

There actually is an external isight, Its weird you cant find it on the apple website anymore, but I did find it on the amazon website. I cant post the link cuz it doesnt let me post for some reason. There are actually rumors of a "HD isight" coming out. I dont know if that is going to be an external isight or isights found on the mackbook's

A notebook with a screensize of no more than 11 or 12 inches. Possibly even smaller. However i dont know if apple will introduce such a thing because it will be expensive for the customer.

they will definitely lower the price of the ipod touch. I believe that they will update the macbooks and macbook pros with probably a new design, slimmer and a new look altogether. I do not believe that they will update the mac mini though. sorry... lol.

Hi Adrian, at last i've got my macbook pro yesterday. After configuring it was 2010 bucks. But i've got student & in store discount(it was unexpected). I've also got the apple care for only 58 instead of 279 bucks!!!!!!! This is my first ever post using my pro(& any mac). I'm learning video editing then i'll post a video about mac. Man i'm speechless after using my mac. Its more than amazing. it has 2.6ghz, 200gb, 4gig ram, HD display , remote......man I'm greatfull to u..(& all mac rp in utube)

The new logicboard that the Mini should have should also have the Intel GMA X1300, because the GMA 950 sucks.

I think Apple should drop the price of the MacBook to $999 and put in a real GPU, because Integrated Graphics suck. The CPU is great and 2GB of RAM is more than enough.

For the Mac mini, they should make a 2.2GHz and a 2.4GHz CPU models. The one with 2.2GHz should have 1GB RAM and the 2.4GHz one should have 2GB. They should also put a new motherboard in that supports and utilizes 4GB (the current Mac mini reads 4GB of RAM but it only uses 3GB). They should leave the same prices for it.

The price in the US increased 300 dollars where here it only went up 50 quid which was sweet.

The could probably keep the price, but they should put some more power into the notebooks to make up for the price.

The like to be innovative, which is a possible reason why they put the i in front of Pod, and the same to Mac.

Innovation=style=demand=more money.

They will most likely drop the prices. As with the iPhone 3G, the dropped the price to increase sales. The more they sell, the more profit they would earn and as well as controlling more of the pc/phone/music player market. Of course they come out with something new...usually in a 6 month interval. The new product may be an innovation in technology or simply the design.

Apple wants to target the larger crowd of people who are in the middle class.

For some reason, Apple discontinued the iSight cameras back in 2004 and now are only made inside of macbooks, macbook pros, and iMacs.

Go back to 2000 where a Mac was twice as much as a comparable PC, but at least it never ever broke down.

no i doubt it, apple are way too strict on there quality control. they increased there prices last year so knocking them down buy a 100 pounds for th euk, wont be too much of an impact. at least thats what i think but i hear u out.

Yeah lets hope they only drop them $100-$200 as rumoured. But you see companies like Dell HP and Gateway offering these Blu Ray 17" Laptops that break down after 2 weeks for £600, and are loaded with more trial software than you could hope to see. I just beg to god Apple doesn't become like that.

i think they will stay the same, i think apple are thinkin of lowering macbook prices as they are already number 1 for laptop sales and want more and in general there laptops are more pricy compared to others, apple jsut want everyone to have one and they think lowering the price a little bit will do the job.

MBPs are extrememly expensive in the UK, while in the US you can get the lowest of the range for the equivalent of £1000, we have to pay £1300! :p

In the UK the Tax is included in the price of goods as its the same nationwide. In the US, the tax varies from state to state and so is not shown. Therefore the final price is higher than £1000, nearer the price we pay.

Apparently there dropping the price of the MBP by $200, so it will be £1199 in the UK, maybe even cheaper as the pound is no longer worth 2 dollars, and macs are becoming more widespread in the UK.

i think currently the macbook and macbook pros are pretty cheap based on what u get. When u configure ur own laptop from dell or wherever with the same spec as the macbook/pro you'll see that there not that much diff. but any price reduction is goood, lol!
