But the woman would still be judged as shallow if the reason why she rejected her husband/boyfriend was because he lost his job, his nice car broke down, etc.

"society" has only existed of about 7,000 years and its only reached high, sophisticated level in certain cultures at certain times in history. For nearly 1,000,000 years humans have lived as hunter gatherers in small groups of less than 100 people. So what u are saying can't be true.
@XenverX Parental love and behavior associated with it is 100% genes. Although this guy is far from qualified to play professor, he's basically correct about why mothers don't get rid of pain in the ass kids.
On a related note, I wish he would stop trying to give a lecture he isn't qualified to give and start teaching what he is a legitimate expert in--game. More game please.
In theory this is great. It's clearly grounded in evolution. BUT if you took this literally you'd be a robot. No-one would look at anyone, in case they gave away value. A room full of people ignoring each other...sounds fun!

That's what "trying" means. Don't TRY just DO. Chill out, don't fill your head with other people's theories, just get laid and be respected because you know what you want and get it. It's all rooted in Respect. For yourself and others. If someone doesn't respect me they cease to exist to me. Simple as that!
