Ibn Abi Hatim narrated that; Ali bin Abi Talib said,
"Abdur-Rahman bin `Awf made some food to which he invited us and served some alcohol to drink. When we became intoxicated, and the time for prayer came, they asked someone to lead us in prayer. He recited `Say, `O disbelievers! I do not worship that which you worship, but we worship that which you worship (refer to the correct wording of the Surah:109).''
It is then that verse 4:43 was revealed. This is in Ibn Abi Hatim and At-Tirmidhi,

If Dr sahab says this ayat was for earlier periods then can he go for prayers while being drunk! nor the Mutah has been cancelled some self claimed caliph can not change the instructions in Quran, when Holy Prophet could indicate some incidences before qayamat, it is unwise to believe he or Allah didn't know what will be consequences of future. Ibn Abi Hatim narrated that; Ali bin Abi Talib said,
"Abdur-Rahman bin `Awf made some food to which he invited us and served some alcohol to drink. When we became intoxicated, and the time for prayer came, they asked someone to lead us in prayer. He recited `Say, `O disbelievers! I do not worship that which you worship, but we worship that which you worship (refer to the correct wording of the Surah:109).''
It is then that verse 4:43 was revealed. This is in Ibn Abi Hatim and At-Tirmidhi,

@asad120780 All useless, no one can change Quran and all contents of Quran are enforced till qayamat. If Dr sahab says this ayat was for earlier periods then can he go for prayers while being drunk! nor the Mutah has been cancelled some self claimed caliph can not change the instructions in Quran, when Holy Prophet could indicate some incidences before qayamat, it is unwise to believe he or Allah didn't know what will be consequences of future. Quran and all its contents are enforced till Qayama

@IDOns1 I was shia but now i m converted to sunni. kyon k shia or hindu mazhab main koi faraq nahin jub main shia thi to ek ghory ko bhi pojti thi (jis ko shia zul jinnah kehty hain) but Quran tarjumy say parha to aqal a gai. Quran main kahin bhi matam ka nahin hai.
