I applaud u sir, it's the same thing I've been tryna get people to understand. I bet if they sat behind the wheel of one of these machines there heart would just fill with pride and nostalgia. I know mine did. Not the nostalgia part cuz I'm only 21 but the meaning behind this car for me. This is the car that made me a MOPAR fanatic and a real gear head.
Why do americans always yack about shit built in Canada? As far as I'm concerned it is an american car. North american. That's a hell of alot better than anywhere else. I wish americans would realize that canada is their biggest trading partner by far. And that economies are interconnected that both countries need each other equally. The autopact was good for the north american economy as a whole. What's good for canada, is also good for the U.S.
@1967RTMOPAR Well Brampton is going to be a JD Power Winner soon and sure they do make Charger right hand drive versions I saw a cop car like that so after all the only assembly plant from Chrysler that has kick ass quality production is a Canadian plant located in Brampton the American plants from Chrysler sucks as they say of an envy of Made in the USA is better but actually the best quality Chrysler cars are made in Canada not USA ! That is why these Japanese companies kick their asses.
These people are WORKING, I dont see a salesman work except give up his soul to be a smart-ass and a cocky stereotype.
"Sorry this is Challenger is out of your budget."
without letting me test-drive it too. I had 13k to put down and he scoffs at me because I look young? I rather just show up at the plant, hand them the money and just drive off than to give money to some greedy ahole in Texas, especially that salesman in San Antonio. You know who you are if you ever read this power-gut.
Oh please, everyone knows that it's more American for the car to be made in Canada then it would be if it were made in the US. If it were made in the US it would be built by a bunch of mexicans
for all of you complaining about the whole "made in canada" shit, you are wrong. This car, and the 300/charger, are not "made" in canada. They are only assembled in canada. Theres a big difference there.
@Garrysmod101 your right....the trans are German, the Hemi motors are Mexican....need I go on "Made in America" means nothing now, but we here in Canada, are proud to have built 4 top Muscle Cars in Ontario. The entire SRT-8 line, the retired Mercury Marauder and the New Chevrolet Camaro. Proudly...MADE in Canada
@strumem90 Well probably the Mustang will be next when Mazda shifts production of Mazda 6 to Japan and it will be more possibly that the Mustang will have a 99% chance to be built at the same plant where they built the Crown Victoria and the Flat Rock plant will be closed for good.
@Garrysmod101 I agree with you but they are the best assemblers the Brampton plant is the most effciant plant from Chrysler I see more quality on this plant than the American facility the only American facilities that deliver this type of quality are only from Japanese car companies.
I want a new Dodge Challenger more than I've ever wanted any material thing! Great vid of the Challenger birthplace. Has anyone else noticed that the yellow Challenger the host follows on the line has the pistol grip manual transmission, and at the end he gets into one equipped with an automatic?
onebad67tempest its nothing new American muscle has been parts or cars has been made in other Counties for a long time i have a 72 muscle car and i looked up the VIN# on it and it was built in Canada
Probably due to cost, I'm not sure they would sell many in places where they do drive on the right. I mean, did you hear Jeremy's scathing review of the 300c?
@wavejumpinseadoo i think in england where i live you may have a point about not selling many cars ,but places like australia, new zealand and south africa which drive on the left hand side of the road, they would sell really well, rhd conversions are a big buisness in new zealand, i don't think you can drive lhd cars in australia,
just type in "the dodge challenger highlights"(it will be the first video on the page and it will be by "therussianafros").......watch it........come to my channel and watch all of the other ones....enjoy
@PowerInMN If U.S. companies like Ford and GM build shit in Canada why would Fiat owned Chrysler corporation give a damn about us? It's a sad reality but manufacturing is all about who can do it more efficiently and cheaply. That's the whole catch 22 about modernization and growth. You gain more choice and convenience but it comes at the cost of countries loosing industries to keep costs in check to make our way of life possible. It sucks.
@PowerInMN . Your right about the car, best looking car thats been produced in a very long time. But as far as "American" labor goes, it's just like 99% of any other car, parts from everywhere(including america) were assembled in CANADA.
Another thing, you can walk to the Chrysler Windsor division from across the border. The Canadian plants have employed tens of thousands of Americans over the years, if not more.
Where did they get this guy ? What a douche ! He reminds me of some cheesy morning D.J. . Not a good representitive of this nice car . They deff could have done better . I bought a 2010 R/T and after waxing it about 20 times I have noticed many paint blemishes. ie.... dirt in the paint have been back to Dodge to fix
Just a few notes on this video. First, I love the Dodge Challenger and I an glad the US car makers are making a come back, it sucks being an American and buying euro. I bought a Detonator Yellow SRT8 6 Speed Challenger. I did the 500 mile breakin recommended by the dealer then did the oil change. The video emphises the quality checks, well the 6.1 holds 7 quarts of oil, when I drained mine, all I got was 4 quarts and that tiny filter dosent hold a quart. If u want people to but US get it right
I love the Challenger! But the CSA guys need to to a better job, I've seen new Chrysler cars with some weird screw ups on em... right on the dealer showroom floors!
that is only one part of his job you saw . His job like all jobs take 48-50 seconds per car . So dont make accusations by watching only 3 seconds of his work

Thank you for this fantastic video!
I'm a Ford Guy and to see how another American Legend, the Dodge Challenger, to be made is great to see!
and it is also good to see those legendary 1960'ies and 1970'ies Colors back on the road again.
Ford Has the Grabber Blue and Orange, Raven Black, Candy Red, and some other. Dodge Has I beleive, R U Yellow as well!
God Bless Muscle Cars!
