I love this movie, and you will be hard pressed to find a harsher anti religious critic, even though I believe in something far greater than the limitations of religion. Atticus Ross does an amazing job bringing it to life with his incredible, haunting and soul touching music. There are far greater things than religion, the first of these is simple belief. To quote my favorite Shepherd "I don't care what you believe, just believe."
It was a beautiful movie, stunning, and a thought provoker. I loved how at the end, even though it focused around the King James Bible and the religion attached to it that it wasn't just about saving the Bible, but saving all pre-apocalyptic knowledge, including conflicting religious texts. If the end hadn't show the collected works of various religions I probably wouldn't have enjoyed this movie anymore than I enjoy over the top patriotic american movies.
I really loved this movie... For a while, I was losing faith in Christianity and God. After seeing this, it kinda hit me that God can get through to people in different ways and is divinely awesome. I understand it's a movie, and it's fiction. No duh, but it presented God, in my opinion, in the best way possible. God is not some moral officer up in the sky, he's a supernatural being that gave us the greatest gifts of all. Freewill and life.
The only thing I wish the movie had was some more action parts[the ones in them were AMAZING,I just wish there was more :3],and I wish it was abit longer...I suppose then it'd be abit pointless but I'd watch it XD
