  • gotch was great too.dr roller,ad santell, fred grubmeyer were very formidable.lewis was the best in my opinion.got to meet lou thesz many years ago.all business and he was like a wrestling machine in the ring.we all have our favorites and lewis is mine

  • Was this a shoot or a work? I've never gotten a clear answer as to when pro wrestling graduated from pure sport to entertainment

  • @NETRIPZ I would describe it as a worked shoot. Meaning that they shoot wrestled the whole way through but the outcome was already predetermined by their booker.

  • lose to a match in order to keep a title moving,a feud going, etc.these two could only be beaten if they wanted.the kings of the sport.

  • ed lewis was the best of all time.lou thesz was a very close second.these two were unbeatable.they understood the business.you have to throw a few to build the heat.

  • @sampson1959 what do you mean throw a few

  • @sampson1959 The best fighters ever, not only wrestlers, were Dan Koloff, the bulgarian and Nikola Petkov. For their entire careers they never lost a single match, Koloff defeated many big names as "Strangler", Henri Deglan, Higen (also called "Strangler").

  • @sampson1959 What about Frank Gotch?

  • Ed Lewis was the all-time top banana!

  • Looks staged but the techniques are quite good. Those throws looked like Judo Ogoshi.

  • Lewis looks like he's using up Plestina easily but its hard to tell because its so heavily edited

  • wow.... 20 foot Ring Posts.?

    wow......
