I have the twin to this dog and the Jacks are just like this. She will shake a the weirdest situations ( like going for a walk) and sings in the car. No dogs were abused in the making of this commercial. Lighten up!!

Dogs might be the most used animals in television and film so I highly doubt there is alleged abuse every time one is in a terrified pose in fictional settings like this one. If you're an expert in dog health and behavior, you can manipulate a dog to do about anything with gentle persuasion and rewards.

@TheMonochromeBird you can train a dog to sit, speak etc with treats but how on earth would you get a dog to act like this in order to give the reward? And i didn't say abuse. It is cruel though to make a dog act like this as dogs often feel how they act and this isn't a vibrating mat, if it was the dog would just shake the lowered head and tail between the legs wouldn't be seen... I don't like it...

@DeathKitty123456 If you have studied dog behaviour and health long enough, you can make a dog do just about anything. People like Victoria Stilwell can turn the most badly behaved and aggressive dogs into lovely family pets with the correct body language and treats. If you don't like the ad, that's perfectly fine, but REAL animal abuse far worse than a dog trembling on a 30 second advert happens every second of every day. Complaining about adverts will do nothing to stop that.

I think I'll be more convinced by the words of the American Humane Society - who found no problems with this advert - than a bunch of RSPCA fanatics who take perfectly harmless adverts off the air that sell the product well and charm the public.

@DeathKitty123456 Oh, actually, I've remembered how they did it. They placed the dog on a vibrating mat, so no training was really required. Before you say using a mild vibration on an animal is cruel, shock collars are available for less than a tenner in most pet shops to lessen barking with the exact same method. So, it would be more of a discomfort to the dog rather than all-out agony, which isn't abuse.

My dog is a JRT and looks exactly the same like this dog, kind of creepy actually, and he shakes like that when there are alot of people around that aren't doing anything to him, but after like 5 minutes it stops. He's a happy dog and is already 15 years and i bet the one in the commercial is also happy loving dog. All dogs have some weird habbits, doesn't nesseceraly mean abuse.
