Robot wars started getting rubbish when they introduced that dumb-ass "ref bot" Chaos 2 was an awesome robot, but my favourite has to be hypnodisc. When they first appeared on the scene and started smashing everyone up, it was just brilliant!

Razer was the only Robot with a weapon worth a damn. Every other weapon, from Pussycat's spinning blade to Stinger's useless "mace" left superficial damage at most if there was even the slightest amount of armour.

If I ever built a robot, I'd build it to be good at pushing. Push them in the pit, it's the only sure fire way to win if you lack the sheer engineering skill of the Razer team.

The thing that Chaos II and Razor both had which often gets overlooked is incredibly low front scoops.

In so many battles a head on ram ended up with these two getting under another robot. Sadly for Chaos II, Razor only needed one ram to work for him and then Chaos II was history.

@TyrantTG002 i dont think it was, the first world championship was held in the 3rd wars arena, Chaos 2 then went on to win Series 4, so if anything, it might not have considered retirement until the 5th wars atleast.

Chaos 2 got beaten all the time after series 5.

It was basically unchanged since series 3 right through to Extreme 2. Was once very good, but the weight limit went up after series 3 to 100KG and chaos 2 only weight 83kg.

In it's day though, its the only robot to defend the UK title.

I noticed that Chaos 2 was never really the same after its loss to Razer. You can tell the 'post Razer' matches by the patch on Chaos 2's back. It's much slower and less effective after that. I'm guessing that the team didn't have the free time and/or money to repair Chaos 2, and just did what they could with what they had. Unlike in the video games, if a bot gets trashed, it can take weeks or months to repair, if it's repairable at all, and not every team has the resources needed to do it.

It's a lie. Chaos 2 was never destroyed permanentaly, but Extreme 2 was his last appearance on TV. I recall Mr. Psycho lifting Chaos 2 up in his claw and showing it to the crowd. I could barely watch.
