  • the band is good sound terible

  • Who is this? Sure Not Brian, Mick or Steve. This Andy Scott and a few other guys

  • @jadams2768 Brian and Mick died some years ago. This is today's The Sweet (since 2006): Andy Scott, Peter Lincoln, Steve Grant, Bruce Bisland.

  • @Sailormarinero I know that. Just like when Geezer Butler and Bill Ward were playing as Ozzy's back up band. THere was some meesed up line up with Tony Iommi claiming to be Black Sabbath. A band is greater the the sum of the number of members.

  • scott + nasty git

  • @Gyphia He's been playing that song for 40+ years now.. Im sure hes going to vary it.. 8===D

  • HEY quit knocking them THEY WROTE IT ! in "75 what were you doing in "75 ?

  • This is actually ok until the solo. The original solo was done with multiple overdubs and is probably impossible or at least beyond Andy Scott's ability to reproduce live. But why this?!

  • On drums "who fuckin cares".Maybe if the act was called "The Andy Scott Group" People would care. The real sweet in on U- tube for all to see No need to drag the name down to this. You don't see Jimmy Page doing this shit. maybe if you got Steve Priest back ??Would Paul and Ringo be" The Beatles"???

  • God of power!!!

  • i prefer heathen version...sorry but its true

  • Are you ready Andy to sue all of your german fans on ebay and honour a german hobby musician Sweet tribute band with a costly warning ???Shame for you and the name of SWEET with Brian and Mick RIP!

  • This is a damm good version. Andy's still got it! Nothing is as good as the original, but I'm glad he's keeping their music alive.

  • Hey Pete! Hows it going? Its Kev from BCS (Ex-Christie)(I'm not sure if we're allowed to talk are we? band politics and all that..LOL! ) Did a show with Grant and the boys recently -nice to catch up with them, and you - again

  • Pitty about the sound.....

Is there any decent clips out there with "Andy Scot's Sweet" ?

Saw them a few years ago in Denmark....In a tent at a faire.....Not like the real thing back in early '70s at a big concerthall.....But it brought back memmories..I even had a few beers with Andy in the break....

  • No because it's not allowed to video Sweet gigs - unless it's a poor quality digital camera. Fans with "proper" cameras are usually asked (by A.S. or the crew) to turn them off! So this is all we have. (Uploaded to show the Sailor fans what their former lead singer Peter Lincoln is up to these days!)

  • Awesome!

  • Hey, they are making music, they are not giving up and backing it in. Keep it going.

  • As far as i know, Andy Scott locked himself in his studio round 1974 and wrote this song to prove the world what they really wanted to do...ROCK!

  • Well done Sailors no 1 fan. good clip

  • Rock on, Andy

  • Nice try to give us one moment of Sweet nowadays. However, magic has gone, long long time ago!

  • Musicians need to get a grip and realize when the glory days are over and quit while they still have some dignity left. This is an example of that. We love Andy, but this is not The Sweet, only an imitation. It can't be The Sweet without Brian, Mick, Steve and Andy together, and that is not possible now.

  • Totally agree 100%,i love the original Sweet etc, listen to their original records, but you can never with ageing capture the glory days!

  • The original band were SWEET, and that means Brian, Mick, Steve, and Andy. They were one of the BEST and most underrated bands of the 70s. Besides the bubblegum and glam hits, their later stuff should not be overlooked, such as "Lost Angels", a classic that could have charted in the US, but wasn't released here as a single, unfortunately.

  • This reminds me of the current state of THE HOLLIES, a great band in their day but now reduced to being a lousy cabaret act and a mere echo of what once was. And this coming from a megafan.

  • So right again, even bands like Mud,Slade from the glam rock era suffer the same fate,ie only half the original line up,still playing live but it is a bit Kareoke for me!

  • Bands like those were all about YOUTH, enthusiasm and energy. We don't need any half-hearted retreads when you can always watch the original lineups in videos; they were the real thing, not these fake bands pretending time has stood still when it hasn't.

  • Thanks for this! Gig looks a little quiet, clearly I'm not there!

  • GREAT!!! Thank you!

  • THANKS !!! SUPERB !!!!

  • Wonderful! Thanks so much for these, Katrin! -tigerlily
