Aye, after a few months of looking, i finally found a biker jacket that fit me, and i think im ready to turn it into one of these. ive made my own cut(deninm jacket w/ studs, patches, etc) but this is different. any tips?
@mcxznbv I know what you mean. I made a dark blue denim vest with studs on the section by the shoulders and chest, and i put patches all over the back, with some randomly placed studs in empty sections. But then, for 30$, I found a biker jacket at a yardsale. I JUST started painting my leather... I've got anti cimex, discharge, chaos uk, black flag, adolescents, crass, subhumans, conflict,confuse, and icons of filth on it so far..
@mcxznbv I dont know if my other comment showed up so i'll post it again. Yeah, I made a vest out of a dark denim jacket. Put studs on the section by the chest and shoulders, put patches all over the damn thing and put studs in certain empty spots, and some leopard fabric. I got a leather for cheap at a yardsale for bout 30$, and i started on that.. I studded the collar with Brit cones and painted Chaos uk, subhumans, discharge, confuse, icons of filth, anti cimex, and adolesccents on it..
@noobishdumbberry But here's my advice. PAINTING- Get a CHISELPOINT sharpie , and practice any logo or symbol on paper first. ( Chiselpoint because that's the kind of paint pen you use.) And go to a hardware store. They usually have Krylon or Unipaint pens for about 3$. I got a " Krylon Short cuts paint pen" at True Value. Ace hardware works too. Be careful. The logo doesn't have to be perfect ( Who said it has to be?) But incase you fuck up, i take a sharpie and go over places that i messedup.
@noobishdumbberry Advice agian. STUDDING- Take any stud you want. Push it on the leather ( It won't go through usually). If it doesnt go throough, there will be TWO MARKS where the prongs were, Take a knife and stab holes in those two marks. I only go through the first layer of leather, and then i bend the prongs with my teeth, but you can use plyers too. Be careful about placement. If you mess up and realize it afterwards, there will still be holes where the stud was placed.
@noobishdumbberry Here's some more advice. SPIKING- for spiking, I take a nail and place it where i want the spike and beat it with the back of a hammer. Take the nail out and put the screw of the spike in, then just twist it on, and take a screw driver and some plyers and tighten the hell out of the spike.
@noobishdumbberry And here's my last bit of advice. SEWING- If you choose to sew on patches or some fabric, use an embroidery needle , dental floss, and a thimble. Dental floss= STRONG AS A MOTHERFUCKER. Thimble= You dont stab your fingers, and pushing the needle through the thickass leather is easier. Embroider needles= cheap and sharp. Good luck. Hope that jacket turns out good. And make sure it's cost effective. Don't spend too much money on it. Mine was less than 75$ altogether, + the jacket

@furyfigueroa1753 My GUESS is because a lot of things punk are meant to be symbolic. I think the bullets are suppoed to symbolize theyre against warfare and fighting. And I heard that mohawks are supposed to symbolize the genocide of the native americans. Theyre just for shock value to bring people's attention to stuff like that. Again thats just my guess, it might just be because they think it looks kool lol.

It's just a flashy symbolic thing, the belts. And you don't care about war or peace? I bet you'd care if your town was subject to a bombraid and your family was raped and shot by the gov't. Aye, after a few months of looking, i finally found a biker jacket that fit me, and i think im ready to turn it into one of these. ive made my own cut(deninm jacket w/ studs, patches, etc) but this is different. any tips?

I made a dark blue denim vest with studs on the section by the shoulders and chest, and i put patches all over the back, with some randomly placed studs in empty sections. But then, for 30$, I found a biker jacket at a yardsale. I JUST started painting my leather... I've got anti cimex, discharge, chaos uk, black flag, adolescents, crass, subhumans, conflict,confuse, and icons of filth on it so far..

@mcxznbv I dont know if my other comment showed up so i'll post it again. Yeah, I made a vest out of a dark denim jacket. Put studs on the section by the chest and shoulders, put patches all over the damn thing and put studs in certain empty spots, and some leopard fabric. I got a leather for cheap at a yardsale for bout 30$, and i started on that.. I studded the collar with Brit cones and painted Chaos uk, subhumans, discharge, confuse, icons of filth, anti cimex, and adolesccents on it..

@noobishdumbberry But here's my advice. PAINTING- Get a CHISELPOINT sharpie , and practice any logo or symbol on paper first. ( Chiselpoint because that's the kind of paint pen you use.) And go to a hardware store. They usually have Krylon or Unipaint pens for about 3$. I got a " Krylon Short cuts paint pen" at True Value. Ace hardware works too. Be careful. The logo doesn't have to be perfect ( Who said it has to be?) But incase you fuck up, i take a sharpie and go over places that i messedup.

@noobishdumbberry Advice agian. STUDDING- Take any stud you want. Push it on the leather ( It won't go through usually). If it doesnt go throough, there will be TWO MARKS where the prongs were, Take a knife and stab holes in those two marks. I only go through the first layer of leather, and then i bend the prongs with my teeth, but you can use plyers too. Be careful about placement. If you mess up and realize it afterwards, there will still be holes where the stud was placed.

@noobishdumbberry Here's some more advice. SPIKING- for spiking, I take a nail and place it where i want the spike and beat it with the back of a hammer. Take the nail out and put the screw of the spike in, then just twist it on, and take a screw driver and some plyers and tighten the hell out of the spike.

@noobishdumbberry And here's my last bit of advice. SEWING- If you choose to sew on patches or some fabric, use an embroidery needle , dental floss, and a thimble. Dental floss= STRONG AS A MOTHERFUCKER. Thimble= You dont stab your fingers, and pushing the needle through the thickass leather is easier. Embroider needles= cheap and sharp. Good luck. Hope that jacket turns out good. And make sure it's cost effective. Don't spend too much money on it. Mine was less than 75$ altogether, + the jacket
