What an establishment turd. Folks, this is the face (or non-face) of the the GOP on full display. The GOP hates America and the common American just as much as the Democrats do, they just do a better job of wrapping themselves in the American flag.
Trey is what is wrong with this country. Career politicians are ruining this country. We may be the first generation that hands off our country to the next generation where it is in worse shape than when we inherited it.
Kentucky is spoiled rotten -- you get to choose between people like Grayson, McConnell and Rand Paul. It's obvious that Rand Paul is the best choice. But, consider the choices that people in Hellinois have been faced with for U.S. Senate: Obama or Turbin Durbin.
Grayson has no clue what real conservatism is. He is a McConnell puppet and needs to be tossed away like McConnell does. Any GOP member who voted for bailouts is not conservative, periodl! Rand Paul was taught by the only politician with any sense of true conservatism and that's his dad Ron Paul. Wake up KY vote for Rand.
Oooh, So that is what a Grayson yard sign looks like, I had not idea. It's funny, I have seen dozens of Paul signs/bumper stickers up around Lexington, but NOT ONE Grayson. So in my (non-scientific)personally conducted Yard Sign Poll, Rand is ahead roughly 25 to 0. How many of those signs do you beleive were already primary voters? I'm guessing not many. Yes, Rand is the man! I just feel greatful to not be limited to the "lesser of two evils" for a change.
Rand is the man. Let's be at the head of the curve and elect Rand Paul, a true constitutionalist. It is time to Restore America and with men like Dr. Rand Paul, we can do that.
Don't you guys see the seperation from Libertarians and 'establishment' candidates? The 'establishment' follows the United Nations charter and ignores the Constitution.
this video needs more hits to show more voters that this is the true colors of the man they may be voting for... he's a chump and when Rand takes his job he's going to look like a chump while he hands out resumes.
It is really uplifting to hear Paul supporters attacking Grayson on a personal level when they have no personal relationship with the man. He is a great man and I have known him for nearly 3 years now. If there is a man who loves his state more than Secretary Grayson, then I can assure you it is not Rand Paul. Rand Paul was not born and raised in Kentucky as Grayson was. Paul came to Kentucky for business, not a love for this Commonwealth. Paul knows his campaign time is short.
@TheStuartwarren yeah from the looks of this video he's REALLY in touch with the public. And just because you're born somewhere doesn't mean you belong there any more then any one else. Your response is a good example of the narrow minded thinking that we're trying to remove from government.
And you DO realize that Paul is ahead of Grayson in the polls right? I know it doesn't mean he will win, but it makes him the #1 contender, and gives him a shot. Vote for beliefs, not for your friends.
First of all, Sec. Grayson has been all over this state meeting with Kentuckians. Sec. Grayson can name nearly every city in every county. I'm sure Dr. Paul would be good to even give an exact number of how many counties and cities exist in our Commonwealth.
I support Grayson not because he is a great friend, but because I know he is the kind of guy we can count on to represent conservative values time after time on Capitol Hill.
conservative? trey grayson is not conservative by any means. anyone supporting federal intervention in education and a continuance of compulsary federal taxation is a far, far cry from conservatism. rand paul is the only conservative in the race.
If it weren't for government intervention in education, there would be no public schools. Matter of fact, I would think that as a nation we wouldn't advance because most people either wouldn't have the money to afford education for their children. without federal taxes, there would be no government and I do not think for one second that you would want to live in that kind of world. To think otherwise would be foolish. Taxes are necessary for a government to exist, the current rate is not.
stuart, let me begin with a quote: "extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue!"
-Barry Goldwater
i'm afraid you've drifted into the world of keynesianism. learn the difference between direct taxes and indirect taxes.
without the federal government in schools, there would be no mandates. your property taxes are what funds public schooling. federal mandates are draconian, and open up a world of fascism.
First of all, I commented on your lack of a thorough explanation. Federal intervention in education would include grants and federal funding for public schools and college students. Without that, our education would be no where because the education provided by businesses would be limited to their needs.
Stuart, how do you explain the fact that American students did far better before the federal government started spending billions of tax dollars interfering with state and local education efforts?
and i'm not sure i would be afraid to live in a world without a federal government, even though that is not what would happen even if we did abolish the irs.
a conservative does not think the way you do. a conservative has much more faith in the market. people cannot afford things like private schooling because government has inflated the prices. not because every private school got together one day and decided things were going to be expensive.
if the prices were not inflated, and the supply, which would inevitably go up with competition if the feds got out of it, things would get way cheaper. the states and local communities could make their decisions on public schooling, and the market would offer more private options at a much lower price. which would result in smarter kids, and a more advance society in which the federal government left it's hands out of education. you can see the result in every country with a lower edu budget.
I have full faith in the market, but we do not have a free-market in this nation. I agree that states and local communities should, for the most part, have full control over their PUBLIC schools. However, you need the Constitution and the Supreme Court to rule against those loons who push for creationism and intelligent design to be taught in science courses, when in fact neither have anything to do with science.
To sum up what I've said (because I'm not sure how these comments have been ordered), complete federal isolation from the market and education system would be a terrible mistake. The states and communities cannot financially support public education. I believe in minimal government, not a laissez-faire one.
Rand may be leading in the polls, but the polls failed to advertise the fact that 50% of those who took the survey are undecided. Polls this early mean absolutely nothing.
ronald reagan was a huge advocate of abolishing the department of education. if you are voting for anyone who chooses to leave the federal government in the education process, you are not voting for a conservative. all great conservatives have been advocates of abolishing the department of education.
If there werent government intervention in the schools, we would have better schools and more educated children. It is government intervention that leads to high education costs since the educators good and bad all get the money they want with the government giving them their checks.
Interesting... last time I checked, lobbying was an action that takes place to convince legislators to fight for specific issues a special interest group made up of individual concerned citizens in that legislators constituency care deeply about.
@TheStuartwarren And just for the sake of wasting my time, I would like to point out the following - Who cares how much who loves their state. That's the most unimportant factor in politics... it's about representing the ideas and wants or those who live within the state.
Rarely do I care enough to subscribe to anything such as YouTube, but when I see people making false accusations towards another person, I feel the need to stand up for that person in their absence. Passion for one's state is the most important factor in politics. Without caring for one's state do you really think any government official would be able to represent the general will of his or her constituency? I doubt it.
So, just about as long as he's been pretending to be a Republican, eh? Can you give us any reason to vote for Grayson besides where he was born? For that matter, can you perhaps explain why that even matters in the first place?
Rand Paul has my support because I believe he means what he says. He's a man who's made a living by serving his customers, not by milking the taxpayers. Has Grayson ever done an honest day's work his life?
So Grayson thinks it's cool to send ol' Fatty Pancakes to creep around and film Rand Paul at every public event but he can't be caught on video talking to real people unscripted. Grayson knows he's toast!
THAT IS BIZARRE. I've never seen a candidate's supporters act like that! First, is it normal for supporters to follow a candidate around like a bunch crazed groupies? Second, do you think that Grayson knows that his "groupies" were deliberately blocking camera shots? Most political candidates love the camera & know that they need all the press they can get. If they were doing that with his blessing, then he is a very disturbed individual with shades of Mafia Don in his character. Be afraid.
Just saw this video. I had to laugh. What a delicate little flower Trey Grayson is. Honestly I hope he keeps doing it. I hope he gets even more lackeys to hold follow him around covering him up with signs and shielding him from anyone who might want to speak to him or film him without passing through his "filter" first. If so, it's funny how he seems to be the most paranoid about a practice that he is engaging in. People always tend to accuse others of doing the things that they are guilty of. Hypocrisy.
This coming from a guy who has paid a "tracker" to shoot as much video of Rand Paul (in political and non-political settings) as he can so he can find something to use in an attack ad. Sounds like he's worried about the same tactic being used on him. Of course, it sounds like he's the only one who sweats this sort of thing - probably because he is the one who is doing it.
