The singing is quite bad, but musically it's quite good (excusing the bad audio quality from whatever it was recorded on) - and I still think it's better than the more recent versions New Order has been playing live.
This version was more like the New Order of old - except for the crap singing.
yeah i think the main problem is the singing. i love his singing on S25 originals! but it doesnot work in IC lines......
guitar is good even if the whole thing is not exactly tight.... it's weird. i like when they do one cover of JD in their set. but i think they did a whole set with JD cover right? that is not necessary. bvut that's ok. who cares? few fans......
I agree. I'm convinced that there is only one person who can really carry of Ian Curtis' vocals - and that was Ian Curtis himself. As much as I enjoyed the early New Order "covers" of JD songs, the more they did it, the more I tired of them - especially with Barneys newer vocal style (post singing lessons). Instrumentals would have been much better suited. It is a bit strange that S25 did a (presumably) all Joy Division set with Peter Hook - I'd like to know how that came around.
why bother putting this for anyone too see,the sound is shit..why bother...its no good for anyone..

Great cover version - sounds better than the more recent versions played by New Order themselves.

You can see my arms when they go "this time" during the chorus! It was an amazing night.
