I got so bored at cod, its the same game just different guns. Everyone knows the maps, spawn killing everywhere, people camp all the time, a shit load of people spend way to much time playing it, absolutely no team work, one person can jump like spiderman, dropshot, camp, noob tube and kill the entire team by himself. Bf3 needs team work, the maps are so big that camping is pointless so no one camps, vehicals, sniping that needs range not "trick shots" or "quick scopes". Arcade or simulator.

You can't use certain guns... sure they have dedicated servers and what not, but the GAME LACKS! So what's the point? This game feels more like a 3rd person shooter, socom like. MW3 still da best.

@hushg2000 Maps are big, there's vehicle's. And most "camper's" are either defending there objective or there a sniper. There aren't any "perk's", you need to be a certain rank to unlock weapons and other's you need to get a certain amount of XP to unlock weapons for the specific kit.

In BF3 is almost impossible to do that because of the size of the maps. Also you have no idea where the shots are coming from, that alone already is UAV jammer perk from the get go. @JhazminRice Guns are limited depending which side you are. For example: If you are Spetnaz you can't use a Ak47 and vise versa. There is no perks or multiple attachments like that of MW games. The sniper rifles on BF3 feel very Breach type. I recommend downloading Breach on the xbox. Its a free download with multiplayer up to an hour. It is similar to BF3 in terms of how the 1st person shooter moves around with the weapons and what not. Try it. If you hate it, leave BF3 alone.
@hushg2000 Actually, if you spawn as a russian assault, you CAN use the AK74, because that's kind of the main BR of the Russian Military. And if you are referring to the fact that the M16A3 can't be used on the russian side, and AK on the American side, there are a hell of a lot of other guns to use and you need to get a service star for assault in order to spawn in with the M16 and AK for both sides. Oh and there are perks like extra ammo, grenades, etc, you just have to look better.

You don't need to cook a grenade because they blow up like around 2-4 seconds later, but you can hold it...and you can throw it much farther than 10 feet.
Also, the pace of the game isn't like cod, but its not slow either. The action is much more intense than cod.

I dont consider myself a COD fanboy but I gotta admit I didnt like BF3 single player no where near as much as in MW3. Then again I dont consider them to be games to compare. Battlefield puts its multiplayer efforts first, where COD focuses more on its single player storyline. BF3 was supposed to have better graphics than MW3 but I saw them more as different than better. Its all about what each player prefers in a game.

Very disappointed with the single player. IN fact i found the single player cleaner in bad company 2.
i played for 2 minutes.. and noticed that bodies disappear almost immediately after you kill them.. that is a no no for immersion. bodies also don't react to any gunfire or close proximity explosions before they vanish.

I don't think the game makes a huge difference, it is all about players using the games exploits to their advantage to get kills. Can't change the player. Do really enjoy BF3 though.
@TheNotoriousMJD Players who are smart will use their support roles to earn points. Using my support tools is the primary way I level up those pieces of shit classes. I'm an engineer dude, but when I use a medic or ammo class, I'm more concerned with doing my role over anything else. The points tick in like crazy while rarely shooting, especially on a close quarters conquest or rush map. Sacrifice the nade launcher for a med pac and your altruism will pay you back tenfold.
The COD fanboys will never like Battlefield as they dont understand the game. Its not a boring run and gun death match game like CoD you have to play the objective and play careful or you will suck ass

If you read the fine detail about COD ELITE the free map packs only go for 9 months.They will not release maps every month they will release it every 4 or 5 months giver take(I say that from a marketing strategy point of view like why give out 4 map packs when I can give out 2 then after the 9 months are up you have to pay another $50 so you really spend $160 for MW3) If you want look it up on the website under whats included.MONEY SCAM FOR ALL THE 9 YEAR OLD'S THAT DON'T READ FINE PRINT SADLY.

Im a COD guy myself and Im converting over to Battle field. It's a superior game on pretty much every single aspect. You play and actually use teamwork, when you win it's an accomplishment. IN COD winning doesnt matter, if I get a good K/d I give a rats ass who won the game.
Bf3 is just amazing game play, graphics, maps are huge and detailed. I can go on and on. I'll still play Black ops for Zombies but Im not buying mw3.
To start off I'm a Battlefield AND Call of Duty fan so don't get mad at what im gunna say and I've been playing both games since they started, but DICE is MUCH better to their community and actually cares unlike Activision who makes you pay for a stat tracking system??? Honestly thats bullshit, but you might say "Well you get map packs also" in battlefield 3 if you buy it new you get all map packs for FREE, nothing extra and i was in the ELITE beta... it sucked, Battlelog is MUCH MUCH better.
Bro, what was good about single player. The AI was dumb as hell. The plot was sooo DONE. The QTE's are played out. I do agree with you that the Jet part was pretty cool, but overall? Campaign blew chunks.
BF3 should have been multiplayer only, like the original Battlefield did. They would have had more money and time to put into polishing the multiplayer. And haters would have had one less thing to cry about. I love all the new additions and tweaks to the gameplay, but I think the maps arent as good as BC2's. This can change down the road though.

I dont consider myself a COD fanboy but I gotta admit I didnt like BF3 single player no where near as much as in MW3. Then again I dont consider them to be games to compare. Battlefield puts its multiplayer efforts first, where COD focuses more on its single player storyline. BF3 was supposed to have better graphics than MW3 but I saw them more as different than better. Its all about what each player prefers in a game.

Finally someone tells the truth:) My last COD was MW2. I could t see any reason to buy another. I stopped playing because i always had to play maps i hated. B3 has it all. Freedom to choose whatever map you like as a sniper, gunner, close combat, jets. You name it they got it. thumbs up for your review :)

@hardscoperrr its because you bought your game used, and not brand new like a normal person, if you got the limited edition straight away brand new for 60 bucks, you would have got free online, free stat tracking and a free dlc map pack, which contains 4 maps and 10 new weapons. MW3 DLC 15 bucks for 5 maps unless you get elite.

im a CoD player and this game was crap!! the only reason i got it was because i enjoyed BF2 but i was dissapointed in this one. singleplayer had its moments but not many. and i dont rly play multiplayer so no comment. the co-op was pretty good though. this is jus my opinion as a gamer! every gamer has their own opinion and prefrences. btw i guarantee CoD MW3 will be a bigger game than BF3!

Very disappointed with the single player. IN fact i found the single player cleaner in bad company 2.
i played for 2 minutes.. and noticed that bodies disappear almost immediately after you kill them.. that is a no no for immersion. bodies also don't react to any gunfire or close proximity explosions before they vanish.

Good, accurate review. If everybody starts switching to battlefield in the future, won't it eventually turn into something similar to CoD, where every one just does their own thing and doesn't play as a team?
I don't think the game makes a huge difference, it is all about players using the games exploits to their advantage to get kills. Can't change the player. Do really enjoy BF3 though.

@TheNotoriousMJD Players who are smart will use their support roles to earn points. Using my support tools is the primary way I level up those pieces of shit classes. I'm an engineer dude, but when I use a medic or ammo class, I'm more concerned with doing my role over anything else. The points tick in like crazy while rarely shooting, especially on a close quarters conquest or rush map. Sacrifice the nade launcher for a med pac and your altruism will pay you back tenfold.

My point is that im not looking at a new game and AMAZED at a player being able to jump around.... sure you could jump in socom 2 and other FPS 10+ years ago.. but who cares. If you read the fine detail about COD ELITE the free map packs only go for 9 months.They will not release maps every month they will release it every 4 or 5 months giver take(I say that from a marketing strategy point of view like why give out 4 map packs when I can give out 2 then after the 9 months are up you have to pay another $50 so you really spend $160 for MW3) If you want look it up on the website under whats included.MONEY SCAM FOR ALL THE 9 YEAR OLD'S THAT DON'T READ FINE PRINT SADLY.

look im not just hatin, but i wasnt a big fan of battlefield first player. i couldn't follow what guy was who and never really found out who the PLR were. its all over the place and if it wasnt for amazing engine and graphics probably woulda returned it. multiplayer is pretty bad-ass, but coming from cod mw2 i find this game relies alot more on teamwork and strategy, not just a run n' gun that cod is.

Im a COD guy myself and Im converting over to Battle field. It's a superior game on pretty much every single aspect. You play and actually use teamwork, when you win it's an accomplishment. IN COD winning doesnt matter, if I get a good K/d I give a rats ass who won the game.
Bf3 is just amazing game play, graphics, maps are huge and detailed. I can go on and on. I'll still play Black ops for Zombies but Im not buying mw3.

To start off I'm a Battlefield AND Call of Duty fan so don't get mad at what im gunna say and I've been playing both games since they started, but DICE is MUCH better to their community and actually cares unlike Activision who makes you pay for a stat tracking system??? Honestly thats bullshit, but you might say "Well you get map packs also" in battlefield 3 if you buy it new you get all map packs for FREE, nothing extra and i was in the ELITE beta... it sucked, Battlelog is MUCH MUCH better.

BF3 should have been multiplayer only, like the original Battlefield did. They would have had more money and time to put into polishing the multiplayer. And haters would have had one less thing to cry about. I love all the new additions and tweaks to the gameplay, but I think the maps arent as good as BC2's. This can change down the road though.
