  • @viewfinder777 Had to wait until the end of this video to see him in a Fulham shirt, pity he didn't do a stint @ Stamford Bridge as well.

  • @BigDon62 Got news for you mate,THE TRULY GREAT BOBBY MOORE is Mr WEST HAM UNITED we at the Hammers dont share our Captain with anyone.Other people like to take credit for him but he is our's.

And still to this day West Ham United are still the only team in England to have produced 3 World cup winners and are massively responsible for ENGLANDS 1966 VICTORY its written in our history.

Celebrated in 2 statues, outside Wembley and The Champions stautue Green Street,Barking.East London West Ham.

  • @viewfinder777 {2 of 2} I've long been a Chelsea supporter though & certainly have issues with the current ownership structure of Fulham FC but must say still have affection for the Fulham of my youth.

  • @BigDon62 Hammers fans dont care about him playing for Fulham cause we only support 1 team WEST HAM UNITED,as for you if your a Chelsea fan why you interested in Fulham MAKE YA MIND UP.Just for your information I knew Bobby Moore personally,I know the Moore family,I know his daughter Roberta she's a hairdresser, and her son Freddie Bob's grandson.

Anyway the best and most glorious part of Bobby Moore's career was with West Ham and England.

  • @viewfinder777 Yes you do seem to be a died in the wool Upton Park fellow. You ask why I seem to have a foot in both camps re. Chelsea v Fulham. Even though I'm Fulham born I've mostly been a Chelsea man, but had a dalliance with Fulham when Bobby Moore came to Craven Cottage, you ought to feel proud one man could sway a fan such. Good to know your a friend of the family.

  • @BigDon62 Anyway he was a HAMMER,why the bleedin hell he wona play for CHELSKI for.

  • @viewfinder777 As a mate of his I take it you never asked if he were ever interested in playing for Chelsea, so if you don't know nor do I.

  • @BigDon62 @viewfinder777 i am a massive west ham united supporter, have been since the day i was born, and yes, Bobby is famous for his time at west time but we have to remember him for his skill and talent and not which club he belonged too. im not trying to have ago at anyone im just trying to admire him for what he was :)

  • Who is that signing the poem at the beggining?

  • Robert Frederick Chelsea "Bobby" Moore, OBE (12 April 1941 – 24 February 1993) was an English footballer. He captained West Ham United for more than ten years and was captain of the England team that won the 1966 World Cup. He is widely regarded as one of the all-time greats of world football, and was cited by Pelé as the greatest defender that he had ever played against.[1]

  • what's the name on the song in the beggning of this fantastic video?

  • RIP Bobby Moore - a legendary footballer and a true gentleman. You will never be forgotten.

  • R.I.P Bobby Moore

  • 18 years ago today, Sir Bobby Moore passed away.

Although I wasn't alive in the years he played and grew up in the states, from the stories my dad and granddad told me and the highlight reels I've seen, I know enough to know that no one will ever play defender as great as he did. And no one will ever got about it in such a gentlemanly manner.

RIP, Bobby, the world misses you.

  • @iammaxpage actually get your facts right he gre up and lived in england

  • @GTAfreerunner I apologize for the confusion. I wasn't saying HE grew up in the states; I was saying that I grew up in the states. After re-reading my comment, I realize it is poorly worded. I know he grew up & played in England. Sorry again for the confusion.

  • Miss bobby moore he was a legend

  • 4 people wouldn't know a legend if it was smacked accross their face!

  • at 0:39 it summed up what a true gentleman this guy actually was. never rising to the bait and being the bigger man. I never ever got to see this guy play, way before my time. but the stories by grandad and dad used to tell me off him were incredible. and my dad isn't even a football fan. goes to show how great mr moore was!

  • The textbook for all defenders of all times.

  • Best defender of all time along with Beckenbauer.

  • @TheYHYH2010 i won't argue with that

  • I swear he kinda blanked the queen after they shook hands, It looked like she was about to say something then he walked away like awwkwarrd. But Best Defender who ever lived, tragic his live got cut short

  • This is a really nice video, from a Newcastle fan. We still miss you Bob. A true gentleman and a fine footballer.

  • That first song is amazing.

  • Up the Irons!! Viva Bobby Moore!!

  • what's the name of the song in the beginning?

  • What a great tribute. I am not a West Ham fan but I think that Bobby Moore is an absolute legend. I think the incident near the beginning of the clip, when Frank Clark gets a bit aggresive needlessly sums him up.....he just takes the heat out of the whole situation. A super player who even in the Cup Final he played against West Ham, still looked awesome on the pitch!

  • And don't forget, that was 108 FULL 90 minute caps no on-as-a-sub caps, no cameo caps, so for me he's still our most capped player. Goes without saying never booked

  • @Sonnex83 Of all the days you could write that, you choose the day Millwall lose 6-1 at home to Watford(managed by a former Hammer, no less). I think that says it all about the intelligence of Millwall fans.

Hope you're still enjoying our shadow.

  • @munday83 Well said Sir

  • @Sonnex83

What a stupid post against one of Englands finest ever players, West Ham or not he is an England legend, dont forget that.

  • @Sonnex83 Fuck Millwall. Bitch ass, piece of shite Cunts. UP THE HAMMERS, ALWAYS OVER MILLWALL!

  • mmmm

  • Proper world class English player......makes me sick to see the rubbish we now have wearing the 3 lions.....

  • The King! Lets do him proud tomorrow!

  • I know that the English (well, the British) were the first nation on earth to inflict a military defeat on the mighty Nazi Germany during World War II. I think they call it the Battle of Britain and it was years before America or Russia even entered the war.

However, it is time to put that behind us. we should not be angry at the English any more.

  • its said that a knighthood cant be given to bobby moore because its only for living people, well change the bloody rules and do it now!!!!!!!!!!!! sir bobby moore

  • we don't deserve the cup this year but 1966 with that squad and moore as captain it was well deserved. RIP true legend.

They should retire the number 6 shirt like West Ham have done (twice)

  • SIR bobby

  • not enough was done to praise him until it was too late. rest in peace sir bobby moore the king

  • Sometimes the word 'great' is overused, but not in this case as Bobby truly was GREAT.

One of the best players this old Gooner has ever seen.

  • Bobby Moore the king

  • west ham legend

  • @dtumahtsew england legend!! and a top bloke! taken to early RIP mate

  • viva bobby moore

  • We lost "Sir" Bobby 17 years ago today.

    Gone but certainly never forgotten.

  • Not only a fantastic player, but a true gentleman too.

Some of the modern players can learn from him, on and off the pitch.

  • hes a west ham boy always will be........

and fulham can say they had him but he doesn't look happy there

    BUBBLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Bobby Moore.Incredible defender and a fine human being.I salute you Sir.

  • lets hope some modern footballers watch this and see how it should be played.

  • There are true "Greats" of the game and there are great players. The word is overused these days. Bobby Moore, along with Pele, Best, Maradonna (Even with his problems), Cruyff, and Beckanbaur are truly legends of the game from the 60s, 70s and 80s. With the addition of Zidane from the more modern era, We have a collection of the greatest players from so many fabulous charactors. The one main constant amongst these players is their loyalty to one or only a couple of clubs in their career.

  • here,here! (Y)

  • @kevlength dont forget bobby charlton

  • @beac0121 I've probabley forgotten a couple of other "Greats" and yes, Bobby Charlton is one of those. Just for interest sake, here is my top 10. 1. Pele. 2. George Best. 3. Maradonna. 4. Franz Beckenbaur. 5. Bobby moore. 6. Johann Cryuff. 7. zidane zinedane. 8.Bobby Charlton. 9. Eusabio. 10. Riverlino.

  • best defender who ever lived

  • @elchewbs1987 Great defender but he was no Franz "Kaizer" Beckenbauer

  • @JWhitelaw99 yea... he was better...

  • @elchewbs1987 too rite m8, taste of a champion

  • Great video :-) could you tell me who is singing the last song and song between 2:13- 5:00.

  • The Business - Viva Bobby Moore

  • 4:40

  • about as good as we'll ever get in this country. a true hero. RIP bobby moore.

  • I used to watch West Ham when they were on TV about every week!

Bobby Moore only ever got booked once - he went into goal when Fergusson collided with the post, and he damn near saved a penalty! he got to the ball, but it went in on the rebound. and the time he knocked out the ref????

a gentlemen all the way through - and we'd have won the Wold Cup again in 70 if it handn't been for that damn bracelet!

  • I was lucky enough to c Bobby Moore play 4 both England & The Hammers back in the '60s since I was still living in London. Great captain, great sportsman, and WHAT a central defender. Used to love watching him bring the ball up & start the attack from deep 4 England (Not so much W. Ham since I was essentially a Spurs fan @ the time. ;D).

  • 2:09 "Bobby Moore the king." You are what you are........and Bobby Moore is THE KING

  • does anyone know the name of the poem that opens up this vid?

  • Comment removed

  • One of the true gentlemen of the game; hard working, successful, and yet humble. Arguably played his best game against Brasil (along with Gordon Banks) in 1970. Just look at his tackles: He was able to read the game and the opponents next move superbly. May he rest in peace, and may God bless his family.

  • Bobby Moore, different class, thanks for the video

  • Goosebumpingly great!

  • Brilliant video, what a legend the man was, will be sadly missed but always remembered
