Its a shame the 380 never took off. Despite me being a Ford nut, I kind of liked the car, and mum has a TH Verada which we've had for a couple of years without any major dramas.
@TeROFLcopter If you don't drive like a nut and look after it sure. Great value for money and has all the kit the other big cars have. Having said that I just realised your comment is 7 months old so you have probably bought a car already haha
I have owne a TF 1998 magna for 9 years with not one breakdown.Done 207000klms. prior commodore gave several problems in the 1 &1/2 years that i owned it. Magna still runs perfectly. Least trouble of any car I have owned in my 42 years of driving. Mitsubishi caused the problems of low tradein by so much fleet discounting. But if one owns a car for nine years like me ,thats not an issue. I have owned a ford prior to the commodore. I would recommend mitsubishi vehicles over ford & holden any day
yeah its true had a 98 TF myself and for the 3 years had it not 1 thing went wrong. Too bad the old girl got into a 3 way and was written off :( was thinking of going for another mitsi but I got myself a XR6 Turbo just for something that much more special. Altho I miss the Magnas economy :(
I've owned a 2001 TJ since 2003 and like you, no problems whatsoever except a flat battery in 2006. Replaced and that battery is still in the car now. Bought it with 28000 on the clock and it's now touching 200000. Next car will be a 380 for sure.
Man Aurions are gr8 cars but theyre not gonna last. Not with the Camry still around anyway, u buy a Toyota for efficiency n the Camry is just a tad smaller but has a 4 cyl which is more toward that market segment.
Ooooh. I hve the disc somewhere (among things since moving house) but I'm not sure if I still have the cover. Can I get back to when/if I find either of them?
im so glad all the 380 forums, reviews, comments etc aren't full of haters!!! i spose its one of the most under-estimated cars that most people can't be bothered to find out its awesome potential!!!
Royal Brunei Police Force are using the Mitsubishi 380 as their first series Highway Patrol car. I like it so much. Unfortunately, the Mitsubishi 380 patrol car also stopped me when I first take photo of it. Quite ridiculous.
Yeah, I just got one of the last ones, had two VRX series two previous model before then. I gotta say the 380 is the best car I've ever had, refined, comfortable and powerful and it stands out in the crowd...'cos there's not many of them out there. Shame not more people bought them before they decided to stop manufacture.
It's only not doing well because Australians are bogans and don't know a good car even if it was staring them in the face. The Magna was the best Aussie car for many years but hardly anyone bought them. They bought trash Commodores and Falcons that fall apart instead.
VERY underated car - should have never announced closing down the mitsubishi plant while launching this car it would have taken off

@subzero92MK
Ended of factory in Australia are get ended of Mitsubishi Australian-built mid sized saloon (Magna , Verada and 380)
No more good than Pajero/Montero powerplant and 5 Speed Auto
I want to see new Galant fastly.... or get Chevy Malibu
streesmut70 10 months ago
@streesmut70 i think i will never see those cars cause they won't be produced here in europe

Good car, but build quality could be better. Mine, with 60,000 km, has many squeeks throughout. But otherwise, reliable and nice to drive

Well said Memphis35.
Always amazed me how many people think a Faclondore is the pinical of Australian engineering. The jap cars are far superior.
The biggest reason for low 380 sales was the fact that it's FRONT wheel drive.
If mitsy made it Rear drive then who knows they may still be making cars in Oz.
