@OldDirtRoad i think Iommi is a monster. but Lynch is a freaking beast. Lynch was affected by Michael Schenker, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck and Eddie Van Halen, not Iommi. but i'm sure Iommi is great, too.

@tanooj2 his playing is often quite sloppy live though, much like many guitarists who go on stage as drunk as Alexi often is. Herman Li, who everyone was saying had rendered all previous guitarists obsolete (he hadn't) 2 or 3 years ago is also very sloppy live, and often plays drunk. Strangely enough, even when you watch the old Megadeth videos from the late 80s when Dave was almost always out of his mind on heroin, alcohol, cocaine, you name it, he never missed a note.

@1MrSlash1 I agree that it is easier for shitty musicians to get music out there because of the whole internets but believe it or not both the guitar and the amplifier are technology and when they were created people like you were claiming the death of music just as you are. Point being, the more tools the better. The craftsman still has to know how to use the tools to be effective but I guarantee you Mr. Lynch would agree that he can make better music with the technology he uses than without.

In response to this arguement of who is better, you can't compare Megadeth to Dokken. Back in the 80's Megadeth were Speed Metal and Dokken were heavy metal. They were not Glam by the way. Also, is you're gonna argue make sure you know what you're talking about...It's ADRIAN Smith and Dave Murray, not Steve Smith...Do you even know music? As a guitarist, George was and is Amazing. He was different from everyone back then. His tone is killer and his style is unique.

@tanooj2 his playing is often quite sloppy live though, much like many guitarists who go on stage as drunk as Alexi often is. Herman Li, who everyone was saying had rendered all previous guitarists obsolete (he hadn't) 2 or 3 years ago is also very sloppy live, and often plays drunk. Strangely enough, even when you watch the old Megadeth videos from the late 80s when Dave was almost always out of his mind on heroin, alcohol, cocaine, you name it, he never missed a note.
