  • she doesn't know a thing about horses they should take her off expert village

  • that was crap. it didnt say how, it just showed her putting the stuff on. -.-

  • Where do you ride?

  • Where do you ride?

  • You did it in a minute and a half (which is way better than my time) but you didn't explain a single thing. Again, great time though.

  • this does not explain enough what about grooming? you need to be more specific

  • @123iluvhorses In case you didn't see the title it's 'How to tack up a Horse' not how to groom it. Go find a grooming video if you want to know how to groom a horse.

  • Thank u soooo much cuz im gonna get a horse and i have NO idea how to tack em up :D

  • @elitedosntdie im not trying to be rude here or anything, if your getting a horse you should be able to know how to treat a minor wound. tacking up is very important if you do it incorrectly it could injure your horse very badly. i would advise taking lessons at a good barn for a few years before buying a horse.

  • were did you get your bridle and also you did good cute horse.

  • yo whats up..........girls?

  • Thx I am loaning Im when I am 16

  • I live in Florida, (Hard place to find a good stable) and we just found a small nice little stable. At that point I was trying so hard to convince me mom and dad (Dad said yes.....Mom sort-of) to buy me a pony. I found THE SWEETEST PONY EVER! 10k to buy, 3k to leaser for 6 months. Anyway now I keep bringing the subject up I even started my own dog walking service, to earn the money. They are thinking of it anything I should do that you guys recommend to convince them?????

  • Question:

How do you know if the girth is tight enough?? Is there a way to check??

    Thank you

  • @rokgirl86 You should be able to put at least 1 finger in the girth, or just so you can't take it away from the horse's side too much x

  • For anyone who doesn't know, the flash (extra noseband) is to keep the horse's mouth shut, as some may find out that if they open their mouths it is much more difficult for the rider to maintain control.

  • @cocogirl20071 I worked my horse for the first time in a flash yesterday and it was AMAZING the difference it made! She actually relaxed with a bit in her mouth, I was amazed. :D

  • @MagnoliaDreaming Aww that's good :) x

  • @cocogirl20071 :D Thaaanks. At first I was kind of nervous about trying it on her but it was really great, I just made sure I didn't tighten it too much. x.x

  • @MagnoliaDreaming Haha :) Yeah you can get a bit anxious when you first try it on coz you have no idea how the horse is going to react, but I'm glad she behaved for you :) xx

  • you do the girht on the right side ? well its good to do both sides but its general rule in australia to do ev thing from the left like mounting tacking leading ect

  • @Horseloverkooder Yeah, normally, before you mount up, you tighten it on the left side, but sometimes if it can't go up anymore on the left you do it on the right :)

  • but when your atatching the girth make sure that no one tutches the horse. som find it really annoying when your horse gets tooked on.

  • xaaxxx her mouth is funny at 0:27 - 0:29

  • yeah horses have been bred for work and you can't MAKE them do anything they are like 100 pounds heavier then you, if they didn't trust you or want to do what you said they could easily seriously hurt you! But they don't because they have a bond with their owners. And by putting a saddle and a saddle pad on a horse it is easier for the rider to control the horse. SO FOR ALL YOU HATERS OUT THERE JUST DONT CLICK ON HER VIDEOS ANYMORE OR SHUT THE HELL UP!

  • this really wouldn't help people. You should really be saying how the saddle should fit. How tight it should be. Tell the people how the bridle should fit where the bit goes in the horses mouth otherwise you will get people putting under the horses tongue - since you didnt explain that. And then remind them to once again make sure the saddle is tight before they jump on. Just because some horses inhale when you put it on, puffing out there chest, causing the saddle to end up loose when riding.

  • @gundogs89 I knoww right! they didnt even say how to brush, or pick feet!!

  • Its nice from you to upload vídeos about horse caring and riding, But ive got a bad feeling about you... Like u just use ur horse to please u, and u dont have a thight bond!

Ur mean with him! ...i guess

And ur voice Is sooooo ANNOYNG!!!

  • you didnt really show us how to tack up like explain what side of the girth goes on wich side and to tuck our saddle pad up so it doesnt bother our horse

  • keeping the halter on and tying a leadrope around its neck gives you more control

  • I understand that there are videos that go into more detail but you should explain WHY you are adjusting more than you did...it was very simple and anyone who understands this video really dosent need to learn HOW to tack up a horse.

  • You Put The Bridle On First Not Saddle :) x

  • @xxlittlemissasbxx

No, you put on the saddle on first, haha xD

  • @iHeartKyu Bridle first, saddle is the last thing you do.

  • @haddii2324 no you saddle first so you have control of the horse by the halter!

  • @haddii2324

Why would you put on the bridle first? What's the point of cross-ties besides grooming them? It's common sense and less of a convenience to put the saddle on first. Even for tacking up videos on YouTube but the bridle on last.

  • @iHeartKyu Saddles are fucking heavy! Horse or nay it's a strain to carry. So I put it on last. I don't ride anyway, where I went to ride all the girls were like 16 stone or heavier and I got banned from there because I complained they were too fat to ride on the horses. WELL THEY WERE ;)

  • @haddii2324

Ah, I see. Saddles are indeed heavy, but it doesn't affect the order of tacking up(:

  • @haddii2324 yeah saddles are heavy. HUMANS ARE HEAVIER. are you fucking serious? its a 1500 pound animal that cant carry a 10-20 pound saddle? ok check your facts before you run your mouth hun.

  • @horsecrazy8900 Is a horse born with a saddle? No, exactly, nor is it born with a human on the back. It's not right so don't do it! "hun" -.-

  • @haddii2324 damn look it up in a book before you run your mouth dumbass

  • @haddii2324 you never say that people are too fat i wonder why they kicked you out and stop complaining about putting a saddle on if you cant lift a saddle you need to work out cuz i ride western and lift the saddle easily and im 5ft tall with a 16hh horse

  • @sk8erdevil5 I left I never got kicked out.... Also I care more for the small horse then the fat bitch who is torturing the poor thing. Perhaps you should choose your words more carefully. Lastly my ability to lift the saddle has nothing to do with it. It's extra weight tha the horse has to carry because some monkey wants to sit on its back. You should care more about the animals you are around all the time, not just yourself.

  • @haddii2324 no saddle is first because the horse can bolt and gallop away with the bridle on while you put the saddle on when you put the bridle on last the horse has no oppurtunity to run away with the reins in your hand unless its an un trained horse

  • @haddii2324 no saddle is first then the bridle

  • @xxlittlemissasbxx rlly i was taught saddle first

  • @xxlittlemissasbxx no saddle first

  • @joyrebeccatarahannie im not sure but i think we got the same thing

  • !FOR ALL OF THOSE WHO SAY IT LACKS DETAIL!: There are videos done by the same people (expert village) with more detail on each part of the tacking up; girths, bridles, saddles... etc. This is a simple run-through of it all.

  • For beginners this is not a good: how to do video

  • She did not shove it in .. she held it near it's mouth for it to except it you idiots.

  • OMG well that was very rude to th horse just shove the bridle in the horse´s mouth.

  • you dont justdrop it on there back you place it on there back

  • another way to put on the brida there is a good way too, so the horse wont go or move away from u : so u can put the halter around his neck so he sitll satys in place

  • i have a horse he hates the bit but with out the bit he does not listen what do i do

  • she did not haddi. she did a good job

  • Its safer to put the halter on the neck so if the horse wanna run away it cant ...

  • where do you put it? why the back pad? It´s just all to non-specific and some poor idiot beginner will think that is all there is to it. Expert, schmexpert - it´s insulting to the equine world

  • this didnt help me i wannna know HOW to attach the girth HOW to put on the bridle im a biginner i dont know this stuff

  • @saulnelson I know its hard to learn espechialy when this person is not spasific enough.. i would suggest going to a stable and ask then if your going to take lessons and they will tell you how to do it exactly the way your supose to

  • And what happens if the horse bolts and you don't have the bridle on. You won't be able to catchy her...

  • no no sweety....u should never take off the halter before puting on the bridle.....is the same thing when you pull up the anchor before starting the boat's engine....if the engine fails u are adrift....got it ??........horse had time enough to take off and leave you talking.....//..and it doesn't look like a cheap horse...kkk

  • @ZK818 While I never take the halter completely off, I do take it off of his nose and attatch it just around his neck though. Im not sure how you would put a bridle on without taking the halter off =/ unless I misunderstood you

  • no no sweety....u should never release the halter before puting on the bridle.....is the same thing when you pull up the anchor before starting the boat's engine....if the engine fails u are adrift....got it ??........horse had time enough to take off and leave you talking.....//..and it doesn't look like a cheap horse...kkk

  • no no sweety....u should never release the halters before puting the bridle.....is the same thing when you pull up the anchor before starting the boat's engine....if the engine fails u are adrift....got it ??........horse had time enough to take off...and it doesn't look like a cheap horse...kkk

  • wow this video is short!!

  • when I'm tacking my pony up, he's really good about the saddle part but when I get to the bridling, he backs up and I have a hard time bridling. him What should I do?

  • @MegaCowgirl4life I stand facing the same way as my horse with my shoulder under his jaw and my right hand (im standing on his left) wrapped around, holding the top of his nose gently. my shoulder stops him from backing and I use my right hand to control his head. (and I havent met a horse yet that likes to be bridled so dont sweat it ^^)

  • can someone do i video describing how to clip everything i mean like more descriptive becuase im getting my first pony in a couple days.

  • when i ride western i dont have a nose band, but when i ride english i only use on saddle pad and i hev way more tack

  • the bridle looks a bit too tight and you are suppost to do the girth up on the left not the right, but otherwise great video.

  • @MsHorsegirl77 does it really matter whitch way you tighten up the girth? no it doesnt. Its not going to make a difference whatsoever. But i do agree with the bridle

  • haha i love this horse!!

  • I don't use cross ties and i have a horse which WILL run if he see's that his headcollar is off, the only time when he won't run is after 3 hours of hacking up steep hills and some galloping when possible. So when putting the bridle on i undo the nose strap of the head collar and slide it down the neck and then put the reins over and on the neck, etc.

  • why because shes better than you??

  • i dont like her

  • shes telling you how to do somthing

  • one correction back pad is called a GEL pad or riser pad

  • @roxie2120 it's not made of gel or foam it doesn't rise anything in her case

  • @roxie2120 not true. some Americans call it a 'back pad' its the same thing.

  • hate flash nose bands-its notlike they help the problem!!!! and i am almost positive that most (80%) of dressage horses put their tounge over the bit!

  • y do u use a noseband?

  • wat do u mean y do u use a noseband ur supposed 2.

  • what is the point of a flash noseband?

  • to keep his tongue going above the bit

  • to keep his mouth shut and if some horses clench their jaw it prevents this

  • A flah nose band gives you more controll of your horse, Call it breakss haha

  • keeps their mouth closed.

  • that didnt really tell us anything

  • well aeskic it doesnt matter wat hole, whatever fits ur horse comfortably!

  • that wasn't that good.

  • ok this might sound weird but i always see the bridles with the extra strap on the nose wats it for my bridle does have it

  • beutyful horse

  • Not all horses need back pads though. Mine doesn't. My horse just needs a saddle pad and then the saddle.

But sometimes i put on whats called a saddle cover cause my saddle is old and it gets kind of uncomfortable.

    Awesome video ! =D

She explains things very well !!

  • It really helped me learn to put a bridle on but it was very basic. It didn't explain much, you just watch and she says what she is doing but she doesent give any tips or anything. Still it helped so thanx :)

  • if i was a beginer and i did not know how to tack up this would be the last video i would go to she did not tell us what hole any tips or explain what each part did or what it was for and she did not say you do not need this part and she said the back pad its called a gel pad and she would not look at us she also just guessed we all got hated that video and its for sure not expert

  • ATTENTION ATTENTION!! if anyone can make a vid about were the billet strap goes... it would be awesome!! plz plz plz!!!

  • billet straps are the straps on the saddle that the girth attaches too.. if you still would like a video i can try and make one the next time i go to my barn!! =)

  • OMG THANKS SO MUTCH!! it would mean sooooooooooooooooo mutch if u make a video!!!!! i will subscribe and rate all ur vids and rate!!!

  • No Offence. It's Ok but you've rushed it - and you can tell. It also lacks detail. I would be Ok if you explained and didn't rush.

  • I dont use a "flash"

  • ok. wow. she didn't even explain where the saddles goes or how you put the pad higher up on the withers at first, or that not all horses need the back pad. or anything

  • she made a series that is divided and explains everything =]

  • she needs to explain things better :(

  • erm put ya thumb in it's mouth dont shove da bit in

  • he dont look happy

  • They need to explain these things better, and be more specific. Like when they are putting on the bridle explain the parts and how to properly buckle them and how much room to leave. For me, I would understand what I was doing, but for a begginer, this would not explain enough. I am not trying to be rude I'm giving constructive critisism.

  • it isn't easy to demonstrate tacking up in under 2 minutes

  • I don't even use a flash nose band.

  • we use bitless bridles at my stables they are more cofterable for the horse

  • Your supposed to put the bridle on first ladie =/

  • why would you do that then someone would have to hold your horse when you saddle it. this is how i do it with my horses...we are never allowed to bridle unless our saddle, girth, and helmet are on or else someone will have to hold our horse while we get those things and that is more trouble

  • Nope, she's done it right .

If you put the bridle on first , you're doing it very wrong and you should for sure switch right away or an accident could happen.

  • nope, saddle first and bridle right before you ride

  • the reason your horse is moving away is simply becayse your either taking him up wrong or hurting him or he is bored and it is rushed slow down and make more explinations instead of quik instructions impossible to follow x

  • this is so stupid does she ride like that too?

  • obviously this women isnt the most familiar as we are guys! hahah comment my vids!

  • She made the troat belt (??) of the bridle way too tight. Your fist (with your thumb against the troat of the horse) must fit between it.

  • your right, though i would not have noticed.

  • ummmmmm this video would be for people who have never ridden english before. this video doesn't even show you how to put the girth on! she doesn't explain HOW to do that stuff. this is no help to beginners.

  • she does explain it in other videos

  • i agree with whoever said this video isn't a "how" to and stuff.. i came on this video looking for how to saddle up for my friend, but she was just like "what" and "how do you do that" i have a horse and thats not how you do it....

  • This isn't very good for a "how to" vid.

    It's not detailed enough.

  • don't ya think this video is way to rushed to be a "how to" vid, i mean come on! someone who has never tacked up a horse before would be like "..whaa?.." and i wouldn't blame them at all! that horse looks very stressed out by the way i also wouldn't blame it also!

  • That horse doesn't look comfortable with her shoving the bridle in its mouth did it? She did it very abruptly

  • @haddii2324 Maybe the horse throws up her head when you try to ease it in???? We dont know the horse so we can't judge.

  • its alright for people who know how to do this but she doesnt say how to do it she just says "OK, lets put the saddle on, now lets put the reins on, now, you get on and go riding." You cant even see what shes doing !!!! >:(

  • aceachich, mabey she videoed AFTER she did all that?!

  • WRONG!!!!! U groom the horse first. Cury,Hard,Meadium,Soft,Face, Then Hoof Pick. Then u tack up. Clean the pad and girth if its dirty. Girth Gets Hooked up on LEFT side.

  • couldn't have said it better myself! :)

  • she has probley probley brushed it all ready its not a brushing video its how to put tack on.

  • uh, i could do better than that. i probably know more than this woman! i OWN a horse. thank you.

  • ♥ She still did it good and i liked it :) ♥

  • Chill woman! This video makes me stressed!

Wonder what the horse is thinking...

  • no offense but you tack up really harshly
