  • The damage is over 9000 !!

  • @Matsuba83

The future where the Astranagant became Augelmir's blackbox was rewritten, so it never happend.

  • what does Inazuma Juuryoku Otoshi mean?

  • @evilcleaver

    (Inazuma Juuryoku Otoshi)

    'Lightning Flash Gravity Drop'

  • @emeraldo

    holy crap. awesome name

  • @emeraldo how in teh freaking hell did you do 9999 damage? shit!!!!!!!

  • What the hell ? 999999?

  • Does anybody know what Zengar says after receiving the attack? I think he says "Your puny attack is no match for my awesomeness," but I just want to confirm.

  • @ElectricHero

"That's not nearly enough to defeat the Type 3." is what he says.

  • @bob1986 Ah, thanks for that piece of info. I've been wanting to know all this time.

  • @ElectricHero no, it says, the power of ur attack is not enough to defeat mode 3

  • @ElectricHero Late reply, sorry..

    「参式を倒すには気合が足りん!」

【Sanshiki wo taosu ni wa kiai ga tarin!】

"You need more fighting spirit to defeat Sanshiki!"

  • Did Zengar just call the Thrudgelmir "Type 3"?

  • Yep- The Thrudgelmir is a Type 3 Grungust. After a Machine Cell makeover, of course.

  • But it's like Zengar doesn't acknowledge that and just keeps calling it a Grungust :S

  • Alpha Gaiden is not considered canon in the series, since a high powered wave wipes out most of the earth and the characters are flung into the distant future.

To answer WHY the Astrangant appeared, it's because the people who lived in the Earth Cradle took it and used it's fuctions to develop high powered healing nano-tech, AKA Machine Cells. It backfired, became self-aware, and attempted to take over the world. Aulgelmir absorbed Astrangant to become more powerful after it's creation.

  • @TwistedAlly

It is considered canon. Proof: Thanks to that knowledge they device Project Aegis which averts the destruction of the planet. Also, a lot of people recognized past Sanger in Alpha 2.

  • Is it even possible to achieve that much damage without cheats?

  • yup...that's cheat....

  • It's an event sequence.

  • event?....hmm...time to play the game again....

  • The animation is fun to watch.

  • I feel sorry for Aurgelmir.

  • Needs to be re-recorded with the Alpha Gaiden ENGLISH TRANSLATION Patch.

  • Well it wasnt OUT YET when this video was uploaded........

  • Hence "Re-recorded".

  • Yeah now that you mention... lol

I don't remember how he was destroyed neither how he made it to Alpha 3... but someone who understands JP probably does.

  • Well it is the astranagant you know , it can travel through time and space (i think). and i think that there can only be one astranagant in existance throughout time and space. So if you look at it this way , then it should be the same astranagant.

  • Not quite true. Theere isn't one in OG due to the fact that Ingram was not granted use of a plothax engine. Yet.

  • Yeah thats a good theory, given the time it spent inside Aurgelmir it also had some side-effects.

He probably self-regenerated itself after Aurgelmir was destroyed using the machine cells.

  • O_o,99999?

  • Meigasu...? Magus? Oh. So *that's* why he stopped calling himself the Sword of Magus. ^^;

  • anyone knws whr can i gt this song?

  • Which SRW is this? And why is Sanger in the Thrudgelmir? I've only played OG2 so I've obviously missed something.

  • This was in Super robot wars Alpha Gaiden for the playstation, it was after alpha 1 and before alpha 2. The heroes got warped to an alternate future where Earth has been ravaged by the gravity shockwave from the detonation of the Excelion from Gunbuster. In this alternate future, Sanger vowed loyalty to Sophia Nate and had his Grungust turned into the Thrudgelmir by Machine Cells. This also marked Sanger's first apperance in a Super Robot Wars game.

  • a steady relationship I c...

  • 0:13 Nasty....

  • Can someone tell me what the last part is that he says before he does the attack? I know what it translates to, but, I mean the romanji, or hiragana or katakana. I also wanna know what that quote really says that people jokingly say "Real men ride each other."

  • "Ware ni tatenu mono nashi!", I believe.

  • Should be 'Waga ni tatenu mono nashi'... 'Nothing can withstand my might' or somesuch.

  • The last thing he says before attacking would be 'Waga na wa Zengaa Zonboruto, aku wo tatsu tsurugi nari' (I am Sanger Zonvolt, the sword that cleaves evil). During the attack, he just says 'Ougi! Zankantou: Inazuma Juuryoku Otoshi' (Ougi meaning a secret technique), and afterwards, it's 'Ware ni tatenu mono nashi' (There is nothing I cannot cut).

  • The "Real Men" jokes pretty much derived from Zengar and Elzam's ultimate attack in Super Robot Wars Alpha 3, where Daizengar (Zengar's -other- ubermecha, made to look like a samura-style war god) rides atop Aussenseiter (Elzam's ubermecha, which can turn into a horse.)

  • why does the aurgelmir look like it's alive?

  • Machine cells do that sometimes.

  • what does Zankantou Inazuma Juuryoku Otoshi mean?

and what is the plot of alpha gaiden

  • Keeping the Zankantou as it is...

It translates to "Zankantou Lightning Gravity Drop"

  • why didn't they put the aurgelmir appear in og2 and ogs?

  • Because there is no astranagant in that universe.

  • It can't be scripted because on scripted attacks, they don't have the enemy attack and then you attack.

  • It's happened before.

Non-scripted attacks don't hit for the maximum damage value.

  • @FallenZer0

Wrong, In OG the R1 vrs Alt Eisen fight, if you remember...

  • WTF!!!! 99999 damage. Holy shit.

  • In SRW W, Guy Shishioh hits 99,999 two or three times, I think.

  • Near the End of Alpha 3, Touma WILL hits someone for 400k damage. Zengar will follow up for an additional 200k.

  • In the version I saw, Touma dealt 750k and Zengar dealt 250k, a total of 1 million.

  • that's nothing. I saw a video from one of the alphas and the dis astranagant did over 300,000 with ain soph aur

  • Wow that was epic, having the astranagant ripping right out of Aurgelmir, and zengar just tearing that mech apart with one cleave.

  • why is the astranagant in the aurgelmir? why?

  • Sadly, I think its hacked. The damage doesn't match the HP numbers. However, its still fun to watch Sangar(or Zengar) use his moves to cleave evil!

  • IIRC, 99,999 is the maximum number that most games can display, hence why any boss with 100,000 or more HP has their HP display as ?????? instead of a number in SRW.

  • I was more referring to the damage that was shown versus the hitpoint total. In the two GBA games when it was a scripted defeat, they showed the total hitpoints as damage, not like this video, that's all.

  • i hope its just a scripted batle and not hacked. because hacking is bad for your soul...

  • It's scripted. The same sort of thing happens more than once in W, and more than likely in most of the other games.

The Zankantou has the same power as the Goldion Hammer, then? Unbelievable...

  • Heh. "Inazuma Juuryoku Otoshi" is also Dynarobo's finisher (rumored to be one of the most powerful).

  • You're kidding.

  • No, that's about right. I've heard it translated as "Warship-Cleaving" more often than "Mountain-Cleaving", but whichever one you go by, the overall tone is the same: SCREW WITH ZENGAR ON PAIN OF DEATH.

  • What's 'Zankantou Inazuma Juuryoku Otoshi' mean?

Can't wait for AGTP to finish up translation on this and Alpha.

  • Zankantou Inazuma Juuryoku Otoshi

    Mountain-Cleaving Sword Lightning Gravity Drop

  • Nope, from the little knowledge of moonspeak that I have, Sanger just says something about how Sanshiki can't be defeated just like that and then goes for his usual Zankantou routine. The guy could have cheated to get the "WTF DAMAGE!?"

  • WTF DAMAGE!? O_O

  • I'm fairly sure this is a scripted scene in the game, hence the WTF DAMAGE. Zengar has a lot of history with Sophia Nate, and I BELIEVE this scene was him basically going, "Maybe protecting her means protecting her FROM HERSELF! Zengar, AWAAAAAY!" *smash KABOOM*

  • lol and i agree on you're hypothesis

  • I love this video for two reasons:

    1) The "y helo thar Astranagant" attack Aurgelmir uses.

    2) Zengar Zombolt.

  • I heavily doubt that he could use two Colossal Blades at once, Zijo. Even a Super Robot-type like Thrudgelmir has physical constraints that limit its power, and using TWO CBs at once would probably overstrain it and blow it up. Same reason Dygengar gets so much more power out of the Tornado Blade-riding a four-legged mech, the strain of using a Colossal Blade is spread out between the horse and rider, allowing for more force to be exerted.

  • Also, the Collosal Blade fused to Thrudgelmir when it was created...

Sooo... there isn't a second blade to summon

  • So what's the name of the BGM?

  • Hold on second. If he summoned a Colossal Blade with one shoulder pad thing...couldn't Thrudgelmir break one off the other arm two and fly at you with TWO? BIG X divide with both for the ultimate ownage.

  • Thrudgelmir is the embodiment of terror in mechanized form. Seeing something like that that rush at you and ROAR, is enough to kill anyone before the they are even struck down...

  • Damn, I wish more of the SRW games were over here in America. I guess it's hard because of licensing problems or something... can't wait for Original Generations to come out. On a side note, that attack is one of my favorite attack animations EVAR. I saw that on OG2 when Wodan Ymir used it... my first thoughts were "Dude. I'm so screwed."

  • In the alternate future, Sophia Nate and Zengar become bad guys. Add to that the Machinery Children are they're allies.

  • 2 words, Aurgelmir:

    GAME. OVER.

  • A dark room lights up when Zengar enters because the dark is afraid of him.

  • Play Station

  • what system is it for?

  • woah!that's the best PSone Game ever!

  • Yeah...Good thinking.

  • Even if they brought the Alpha or Impact series to the US, they'd have to find EVERY SINGLE voice actor for each attack...That'd be a pain in the ass.

  • Then again, another option would be to leave the VAs as is and translate the text.

  • Meh. Translate the written dialogue, leave the spoken dialogue as is, I say. Save cost production...and let's face it, outside of Cowboy Bebop, dubs have generally proven to be inferior quality.

  • ... how did Zengar do 99999 damages in one attack agianst like, a boss?...

Meanwhile, I'm finally getting alpha gaiden... it is on Ps1 or 2?

  • Scripted battle, I presume.

  • Zengar included (If you wouldn't know... he's the guy with the big sword)

  • That's Super Robot wars alpha gaiden: Won't ever happen, liscensing nightmare given the different stuff in there, Macross, Gundam, getta, it'd be a pain, but they are releasing the OG series, which is all orignals

  • I dunno what this game is...but it looks awesome. Needs to be released in the US badly.
