  • What a gorgeous sky!!!!

  • Boy that initial pull up bled off a lot of energy!

  • @Bundashit the canada gettin f35s was a huge mistake... im sure you heard, america has the technology to hack into a f35 in flight, shut down or even take control of the flight control systems... the plane was designed by USA, to be unmanned, but was later changed, altho the unmanned capibilitys still are there... so if canada ever goes to war with USA, these jets will be beyond useless

  • @101andrewj if canada ever went to war with the United States, we would be obliterated in minutes. if you consider the amount of air craft we are buying compared to the amount the United States has, there is no comparison. not to mention their technological advances in army and navy technology. it wouldn't even matter if we Canadians bought these air craft, even if our pilots are superior.

  • well, look what the iraqis did in 2003, after gettin there asses kicked in a conventional war with the united states, they basicly sat back and let america take over the country, took off all their uniforms and started a guerilla war that was very successful... americas military is very powerful, but also very conventional, if you refuse them a conventional war, aka vietnam, afghanistan and iraq, its very hard for them to win.. and if some 3rd world countrys could do it, im sure canada could too

  • @101andrewj The F-35 was never meant to be unmanned. The aircraft originated as the X-35 and was a manned platform from the beginning. It has never, nor does it currently, have the capability to fly unmanned. It could be converted to a drone like the RF-4's and recent RF-16's though, but that is a long ways off.

  • @snowbird552 its flight computers wer designed by lockheed first to work on a manned/unmanned platform... but they later changed the plane to only manned, but the capabilitys remain

  • @101andrewj I'm afraid that's incorrect. Sources were qouted in 2006 as saying that Lockheed Martin was "developing an optionally manned F-35" as part of their efforts to keep pace with increasing developments in the UAV world. I don't doubt that it's possible, of course it is, but it was not programmed into the plane from the beginning as you suggest. If you can provide information to the contrary, i'd be happily corrected.

  • @snowbird552 Lockheed Vice President Frank Mauro said at a briefing yesterday. He provided few details but said the plane could be built as an interchangeable hybrid -- manned by a pilot for some missions and operated remotely for others.

  • @101andrewj "COULD BE", like any other aircraft, it could be converted to be used as a 'drone' with enough development time, and with the computing power of the F-35 i'm sure it's completely possible that Lockheed could develop it into an unmanned platform as well. However; it was still never designed from the outset to be optionally manned, just a possible design feature that COULD be developed if a customer wants to pony up the dough to pay for the research and development costs.

  • @snowbird552 could be means the plane was designed for it, they just have to change the software...

  • @snowbird552 i didnt just pull this fact out of nowhere.. i remember somebody saying it in a documentry i was watching about the plane

  • @101andrewj I don't think so either. I just think you were misinformed or may have misinterpreted a story or particular comment.

  • Beautiful day in the nicest city I have ever been to

  • I was there, and to be honest, I had goosebumps on the last pass.

  • I love hot the sun sets while the hornet do its flips!!

  • musics not bad i guess but i still love the vid!

  • awsome vid but whats with the music?

  • I can't stop watching this video! Honestly, the best CF-18 vid I've ever seen. Way to go!

  • I saw that Hornet in Cold Lake.

  • I like it man! One of the best CF-18 Displays!

  • I was lucky enough to be given a private tour of the jet in Pembroke, ON, and Capt. Woods told me that after the show season, this jet will be retired and displayed at the National Aviation Museum. What a beauty!

  • Amazing quality - great shooting! I got to see the Century Hornet demo in Cold Lake this year - it's just a shame the show stage was out on the lake. No pyrotechnics!

  • Sweet video.. great work, great plane... love the sound of the whisper pass

  • this was such an awesome show, so happy to have stuff like this in our own back yard!
