People need to realize that baseball is a very technical sport and requires patience. I will agree it's not as fun as football to watch, but it is a lot of fun to play, and it is far more difficult than most of the positions in football.

I don't know what y'all are talking about. I immediately saw the runner on second and started getting angry at the poor attempt the middle infielders were doing of covering him, so the runner must be kinda slow or not to brave.
And it looks like the pitcher is having a bit of a control problem in the clip, he throws outside twice. And the way the infield is set up, the hitter has trouble hitting to the opposite field, which is why the pitcher is throwing a bit outside.

The interesting thing about football is that it takes a different kind of conditioning. You need muscular conditioning. It is hard pushing people around and using every bit of your energy for 60 minutes even if you get a 20-40 second break between every play.
Oh and from 1987 to 2002, the number of kids playing baseball in this country actually decreased by 1.4 million while the number of kids playing soccer increased by 2.1 million

PS: Baseball might have been cool in the 1930's, but now with more entertaining things we move on. I don't sit around playing marbles, or trading baseball cards, or playing Pac Man, or owning a Cabbage Patch Doll, or collecting "trolls", or posters of heavy metal bands, or swooning over "boy bands" or going on "MYSPACE" and posting every 4 mins., blah blah, etc... so why should anyone still be into baseball?

Baseball is boring, Cricket is boring, I mean its named after the most boring sound in the world, actually listening to those bugs is more exciting than the two sports combined. Right now their is a recession in the USA and I cannot believe MLB hasn't done anything to help out the family man. There is a lot more to baseball than most people think. Its about more than just catching, throwing, and hitting. You have to learn the proper form to be good and you need to have timing when your hitting. So stop hating if you've never played before.

RETARDED! Baseball is by far the most beautiful sport out there, sure it's slow paced, but I find so great and exciting to watch! Some of you say "It's only a retarded American sport" but that's where you are wrong. It is the main spectator sport in Japan, Venezuela, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and lots of other places. Finally, how can it be "boring" if thousands of people can sit down, either at a television or at a stadium, to watch it? Why do so many people pay to watch it live?

@superstarrockmetal You are absolutely right! There are a ton of fat and out of shape baseball players. If anybody says that linemen are fat, I argue that they actual run and hit every play. Anybody who played football and did one on ones in practice can tell you that blocking/pass rushing is difficult. BASEBALL SUCKS!!!

Baseball is pretty fun to play. Watching your team that you are playing for. But mlb is boring. you dont need to stay for the whole game. Its only exciting when its close at the 7th, 8th or 9th. Other wise this game is pretty boring. The game takes forever. BTW, any professional sport, where the athlete get millions is pretty hard. Or everyone can be good at it.

Baseball is extremely hard to be very good at. But yet again, so is pool, golf, and many other slow ass games. I hate watching golf. I don't mind playing it, but watching it is another story. The people who play baseball for the most part are good athletes (i.e. they could have probably played other sports professionally if they had tried). But the damn game pace is too slow, and unless you have money on the game, or your brother, kid, etc.. is playing who cares. Football is the best sport!

People need to realize that baseball is a very technical sport and requires patience. I will agree it's not as fun as football to watch, but it is a lot of fun to play, and it is far more difficult than most of the positions in football.

If you're saying they're any easier, show me you can dribble better than Lionel Messi, perform spinless freekicks better than Christian Ronaldo. It could be said that anyone can "kick the ball", but it's phenomenally hard to actually "play the sport".

Football also requires patience and ENDURANCE. If I were obese, I'd rather stand on 1 spot for hours than running around a 100m long field for 90 minutes. Less than half of baseball players manage to hit 90mph, it's based on luck. No brainer

@unitedfc99 baseball might be a little boring to watch, especially for people who don't know the rules. But it is fun as hell to play once you get better. Also, most people don't appreciate how much skill this sport needs. Basically, you've really got to go behind home plate and have the pitcher pitch to you to really appreciate this sport. My bf was a catcher in HS, and he talked alot about baseball, the players, the feuds, and trades, I used to dislike it, but now it's very exciting once you get into it. But once again, you either love baseball, or you don't.

I don't know what y'all are talking about. I immediately saw the runner on second and started getting angry at the poor attempt the middle infielders were doing of covering him, so the runner must be kinda slow or not to brave.
And it looks like the pitcher is having a bit of a control problem in the clip, he throws outside twice. And the way the infield is set up, the hitter has trouble hitting to the opposite field, which is why the pitcher is throwing a bit outside.
Hardly boring.

The interesting thing about football is that it takes a different kind of conditioning. You need muscular conditioning. It is hard pushing people around and using every bit of your energy for 60 minutes even if you get a 20-40 second break between every play.
