  • Thanks again, How much did you pay for the stock C19? I know it probably depends on which one, but I would like an estimate so I know how much of my old stuff I would need to sell...

    Cheers

  • Yes, The Blackstone C-19 locos all come with Soundtraxx Tsunami DCC - these are exceptionally well made and beautiful working models. Mudhen Models are a good source in the USA.

  • ...Oh, also, do they come with the DCC decoder installed?...

  • Thanks mate, I remeasured my working space and I have more room then I had first thought. 90cm is fine :)

    Cheers

  • Stevy - 80cm diameter is a bit too tight IMO - if you can make 90cm this will work much better.

You could run the loco on 80cm diameter but it won't look right and any long rolling stock like passenger coaches will also look wrong.

  • G'day scoopmmr

I'm planning to buy a blackstone c-19 but only have a small space to build my layout. Could you possible tell me, can your C-19s go around circles of a 80cm diameter?

    Cheers

  • Your layout is fantastic

  • I have to say, you do amazing work. You must have the patience of a Saint. Your layout is amazing as well. My friends son lives in Durango. When he visits, he always gets on the train. Thanks for putting it up. Keep em coming.

  • You can see more of my layout - type "silverton down under" into the search box and several will appear. Its wonderful to be able to share with fellow modellers - thanks.

  • Ha, Ha, Ha, Laurie you are an inspiration, why don't you make a vid of the layout?, from the little we can see it looks very nice, I love all the figures and the complexity of the passenger stations. Excellent !

  • Thanks mate - The resistor on the class amrkers is a 4.3k and a 3k on the firebox flicker.

All programming is via Decoder Pro (Thank you JMRI)

All the SMD LEDs are 0402 chip which I soldered the magnet wires onto.

The firebox flicker LED has a coating of Tamiya clear orange paint plus a tiny square of the orange Kapton tape over the resin package.

  • Greetings!

What did you use for the fire box flicker. And, can you give me an idea of the resistor you used? YOU DO SOME AMAZING work sir! Unbelievable and I really enjoy following your work.

    Thanks,
