  • sad to see chiam see tong long serving constituency to be taken away during the 2011 GE. He is a good mp, appreciated and always respected in the heart of our nation. I hope he would have a speedy recovery from stroke, and get back what that belong to him next 5 years. Sir wish you good health and luck in all endeavors.

  • although i am a kid i think chiam see tong rocks

hope chiam see tong will be better

  • although i am a kid i think chiam see tong rocks

  • whats the korean song that is being played?

  • Mr Chiam u r forever a champion !!!

  • Sad to say some residents there like carrot !!! They have forgotten wat chiam and spp have done for them over 27 yrs !!!!

  • singapore loves Mr Chiam forever, he is a great man :) wish him speedy recovery..

  • I am more concern about Mr Chiam's health, PP peeps don't despair, give this man 5 years to get his health back, and he will be back stronger.

  • People of hougang will dispise the 50% who voted for Si PAP. They have 5 years to repent. For the 49%, stay strong in believing SPP for they will be back with a vengeance. Take back PP and claim bishan-toa payoh GRC!

  • I see a change coming to Singapore, the fear of police and the ISD is gone, human beings now have their dignity and honour back

  • I will be going down to sign the petition. The margin is just too thin; there is a need for recount and a by-election if necessary.

I don't really care how it swung either way, though I admit I feel a bit strongly for this because it was against Mrs. Chiam. Either way, Potong Pasir deserves a stronger mandate than this. Potong Pasir town is now basically split right down the middle here.

  • I do not live in potong pasir and neither am i of legal age to vote but, i wished i could dedicate the rest of my life's worth of votes to Mr chiam see tong. Be it potong pasir or Bishan-Toa payoh. Even still, the amount of votes does not match up to what he actually deserves.

I am only 20 now but i am very sure that no other person will be respected by me this much for the remaining years of my life. He is my symbol of a true idol.

  • Mr Chiam, You are the most admirable man I have ever seen and you will have my support always. Thanks for the help you have shown me and I really can't thank you enough. WE LOVE YOU Mr Chiam!!

  • nobody like SITOH he is a real sucker.

  • Mr Chiam, we Singaporeans will help SPP to win back Potong Pasir SMC, as well as Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC, in the next election.

  • @SonyChin28

    it might be too late..

  • Quote New Testament (Mark 12:43) Jesus: "Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood." This is a verse written in the Gosple of Mark when Jesus saw one poor widow threw in two mites which make a quadrans together with many who were rich. Mr Chiam, God knows what you have done & let His will be done.

  • i stay in serangoon but how i wish my vote could have been to mr chiam..

  • I was there on 8th may. It was incredible! When everyone was chanting Mr Chiam's name fearlessly. I dont live in Potong Pasir but being there for 3 hours made me so proud to stand up for what is right.

  • @aedame thx alot, nice song, totally suits the mood and circumstances =(

  • Mr Chiam, when you said during yr rally, "You give me more accolades than i deserve", someone posted this comment' "We give you less votes than you deserve"- i can't agree more. To the PP and Bishan TP folks who didn't vote for Mr Chiam and his team mates, I hope you'll come to regret what you have lost.

  • Aiyo, such a sad clip =(

  • my heart. I had seen pics of Mr Chiam's makeshift cubicle office where he conducted MPS weekly. In real life, his "office" was more decrepit than the pics i had seen. Folded and chained to a column when not in use for MPS was the beaten up partition which had obviously seen better days. How Mr Chiam put up with such pathetic condition is really beyond me. I can only imagine how uncomfortably hot it got or how wet it got when there was rain. OMG, this man's tolerance level is unbelievable.

  • This is so sad. Everytime i see his MPS "office", i cry for the injustice Mr Chiam suffered for 27 years. For the first time in my life, last Thursday i finally got to see for myself what PP is like. Stepping out of the MRT station, i felt that PP was such a charming little town on its own, devoid of hustle and bustle which is not necessarily a bad thing. Life seemed less stressful here, indeed i felt a sense of tranquility. I walked quickly to blk 108, the sight which greeted me broke

  • @jojockw I had the exact same sendiments.. I really hope to see Mr Chiam reunite with P. Pasir peeps soon..

  • Should blame Bishan - Toa Payoh people who dont vote for MR CHIAM. not PP. We should support the place he is contesting. not his previous place

  • what is the name of the korean song used in this video?? anybody knows?

  • @songting21 i want to know also :)

  • @Giveaplant i searched and i got the name of the song. Its from the movie The Classic, "Saranghamyon halsoorok" - If we are in love, then...

  • For the 7,973 residents who had voted for PAP, do they know that they need to fork out money for upgrading as well? Look at for Mr Chiam has done for us in these 27 years. It was not easy for him as well due to lack of funds, but he gave us his all.

And for the 7,859 residents who had voted for SPP, we love what we have, and we shall continue to give Mr Chiam and his party our supports.

  • MAJORITY of PP resident chosen a coat of paint for their flat over CST 27 years of service ...Lets move on . don't make yourself look like sore loser . (No offence but this is how democracy works)

  • im sorry but this is bloody ridiculous. who are the people who voted for PAP? PP residents. who are the people who voted for SPP? PP residents. just because half of them decides to vote for PAP they are branded traitors (by their own neighbours), and whats wrong with wanting new renovations?

if SPP won by the same margin, will they be happy about PAP supporters asking for a re-election? highly doubt so. and the 50odd percent of them who voted for SPP will be heroes instead.

    blatant bias.

  • Saddest video ever T.T

  • Chiam loves Singaporeans.

But Singaporeans love gold paint and subsidised lifts so much they threw their father out.

    Real culprit? PAP.

  • This Sitoh Yi Pin looks and talks like a hypocrite.. and this is what over 50% of the PP residents voted for?? You guys have no pride... Opting for a fresh coat of paint over 27 years of loyal service. Where's your heart?? Shame on you PP residents who voted for Sitoh Yucks Pin.

By the next GE, you will be sucked into Bishan TP for sure.. there goes the unique Potong Pasir spirit. Hope the new paint smell makes u happy... I'm utterly disgusted.

  • @simonlee80 SYP a cockface.

  • @simonlee80 i believed that the votes were affected by the residences of TPY, sengkang etc...that was put under "PP SMC" my colleague who stays in SK told me that his area is PRO PAP...the govt was smart to add other areas into PP

  • @simonlee80 Sometimes I really wonder, what happened.

  • @simonlee80 SYP looks exactly like those generic corrupt officials portrayed in chinese dialect operas, w/o the need a makeup somemore.

  • @MrRedx13 ha ha, 100% agreed!!!

  • Hang in there potong pasir residents.. you have singapore behind you.

  • by-election* (:
