Hey mel. Great tutorial. U look so young in this video. Forget what 1001lyn1001 - she's prolly pmsing. Where did u get those texturizing scissors and that blade?
@orangeyumpop aww.. thx! =) i got both of them at sally's beauty - pretty much has everything u need there .. if not, u can def check out cvs or drugstore and see if they have them there.
Wow your hair has grown soooo fast, what is your secret??? The last time you put up a video about how you cut your hair, I bought scissors and tried doing it, it did not turn out bad actually but it wasn't good either, I mean it showed that it wasn't cut by a pro...But I am tempted again and again to try it LOL
@xxxAngelikaxxx every little practice will help u get better! not sure but my hair tends to grow pretty fast.. i didn't really do anything differently. =)
if u are filming on how to cut ur hair...i think the focus point should be on ur hair not your face....so ur camera should face down-wards to ur hair not ur face....we dont need to see ur face if the title is `HOW TO CUT YOUR HAIR INTO LAYERS`....agree????
@1001lyn1001 logistically it wouldn't have worked out since my bathroom is pretty small & there's no room for tripod. camera is set on a shelf within the cabinets. i provide instructions thru-out the tutorial, so u wouldn't need to see what I'm doing to know what I'm doing. also i show what i'm doing within frame and when it's out of frame, it's not as if I do anything different & I bring the hair up within frame to show the cuts. try shooting a video yourself b/4 giving tips. thx
@MsLaBelleMel i agreed with what u said. sometimes instrustion is not as good as looking at what you doing and talking. not giving any tips here, just telling cos i think most of ur video is filming great just some that really some is very ridicolus
You did a really good job for doing it yourself! Your razor seems dull though, you can get new blades at sallys! I would get some better sheers because those cheap ones typically cant be sharpened! Hope it helps!
@anastasia60559 thx but trust me, the razor is not dull at all. only got it 2-3 mos ago and used it few times. the way I used it was in short stroke motion down the hair to create different layers. If i'm not careful, i could have cut off alot more than i want. most of the supplies i get are from sally's beauty so should be a great place for beauty supplies. =)
@MsLaBelleMel Sallys is decent, but you should get a friend with a cosmetology license to take you to a professional store! You'd be amazed! I'm in heaven when I go there. Joelle Shears are amazing!
Thank you for sharing. I wish my hair was straight like yours.
