Since they're both facing the same side of the beater head of the kick drum the phase should be somewhat in relation to one another. Ideally, you would want the RE20 3 times as far from the beater as the Beta mic.

very cool, but i would suggest to not let the mic cable from the internal mic touch the reso head, it can deaden it.

i just saw that in Bob Gatzens vids

It wouldn't matter if it deadens the other head because he already has a giant pillow inside it. He's purposely trying to deaden it, so I don't think he has to be too worried about it touching, haha
