But there's a correction on the description. Yes. Initially G.Murray was aiming for 500hp but the end/final figure of the engine is actually 627HP.

The mclaren was never the fastest car. The dauer 962 and the lotec c1000 was faster. Maybe the koenig c62 as well.

@JL3Wind Neither of which were production cars. Only one Lotec c1000 was made and I have no idea how many Koenig c62's were made. The Lotec is a better car than the veyron in my opinion, it's quicker and gets the same power from a 5.6L that the veyron does from an 8 liter with twice the number of turbos. :)

you just dont get it, the mclaren is the king of cars, a purist's machine, the race cars are almost similar, whereas the rest of those cars are stripped out and maxed out even then most of them will only see back end of a mclaren in the distance.

Ok the Mclaren is a great car.

The Music is quite nice (very nice).

But the video is not the best, well ok you put a couple of pictures in there and made an ok effect out of it, but dude half ok the images you should in the video are exactly the same.

It doesn't tell me that Mclaren is a great car or anything (I know it's a great car that looks very good and has a nice engine).

Jesus, this video is annoying as hell. Do you blink at 120 bpm when you're looking at a McLaren? NO. It's like trying to watch a stripper under a slow strobe. WTF? Additionally, the front design of this McLaren is not at top aerodynamic efficiency, and I've always found the rear window annoying. Why wouldn't the top car designer in the world consider making the hood scoop transparent?

hay man, need to update the info, it reached 249 mph now, some crazy nut took it to a very long strech of road and gave it the beans, with the rev limit at 7500, i think its on youtube, but it can go much, much faster if you remove the rev limiter, coz its capable of up to 9000

look it up on youtube mclaren F1 391+kph rcorded, but that was with a 7500 rpm rev limit, still amazingly fast, when you think about how a bugatty needs over 1000 bhp to do what a mclaren uses 300.

oh and if you do the maths, if you take a rev limit off and let it run at 9000 rpm capacity for a long enough period of time, it can and will reach 430-450+ kph (origonaly it was 471 on my calculator, but i think at that time, downforce and drag would slow her down by about 5-20% capacity) have fun shuving it in youe mates faces, sick of people bashing down on the mclaren, good old 1989 aussie design and structure at its best!
