Every time I see this video, it makes me LONG for New York City. I live in Chicago, and I love Chicago dearly, but every so often, I long for some New York loving. :) This is a love letter to NYC.  Beautifully shot, and with the best tour guide of all time.

Sent this to my new buddy in, of all places, LA, but he grew up near the Schwab House in Manhattan. He worked at the Columbia Pictures building at 711 Fifth in the early 1960s. Neat guy. A group of 5 unknown musicians showed up at his door in a February 1961 blizzard. 48 hours later, WINS had launched 'Blue Moon' by the Marcels into doo-wop history, it was #1 in the country 50 years ago this month !!! LOVE the New York echo in the tunnel! Very good insights regarding L.A. and New York. There is no center to L.A.; it is rootlessness personified. New York is all about centrality and concentration. San Francisco is like New York in that way, which is why I love that town. Great videography, Jill!
