I agree. Even though ROH is an indie, it is the most high profile indie in the country, and a key component to giving young talent a big stage to get noticed. Guys should have enough respect for the wrestling business and ROH not to jump ship while they have been given the privilege of wearing the ROH title. I'm curious to see how Tyler does in WWE. Knowing Vince, it won't be good. Sure, he'll be one of the top "Superstars"... but, as far as wrestling, we'll never see that side again. Unless, Vince decides that its about wrestling & not being a "WWE Superstar".
It's not that I don't like Black's choice of jumping to WWE, I'm excited about him going over to WWE. What bothers me is that he did it while still the champion. Couldn't he have at least waited until he lost the belt before getting into talks with WWE? @calikid05 My Network TV is dead as soon as Smackdown leaves and TNA is not going anywhere for probably another year at this point. HDNET will be in many more markets at the beginning of next year. No one else was willing to give ROH a TV deal this is as good as it gets at the moment which isn't bad because HDNET gives them some TV but at the same time doesn't make the grow bigger than they need to be.

I can't possibly imagine, that with a more frequent house show schedule (with a MUCH larger gate than ROH), 4 different TV shows, a higher profile for out of the ring opportunities, video games, t-shirts, etc., that a mid-level WWE guy wouldn't still make considerably more than they would as ROH Champ. Besides, a lot of assumptions being made that he won't be a top guy. CM Punk is a former ROH Champ who's doing very well for himself. You never know.

Because I remember Joe and Punk saying in a Shoot Interview a couple of years ago, that you don't get that much more money in the big leagues as an undercarder, than you get as a top guy in ROH. And since then ROH has gotten much bigger and has much more money I'd say. I don't know if that's true, but it's a tough choice trading the top spot for an uncertain one.

ROH should turn Tyler Black heel before he goes to WWE cause I think that they could use the negative crowd reaction to their advantage. He should then vacate the ROH World Championship when he leaves for WWE and then ROH could have a tournament, where Davey Richards and Christopher Daniels should get to the finals and face each other for the vacant title at Final Battle.

I didn't want Black to win the belt, I wanted him to drop it to Davey at Death Before Dishonor, but that match sold me and I wanted him to stay champ for the forseeable future. Now he's leaving and it seems like a bit of a waste, but his match with Davey is still the best I've ever seen (and I got to see it live) and while I think his promo skills will give him trouble in the E I wish him the best and hope he's a world champ there too.
@lostenmusic Oh absolutely, I really like AOTF. Their debut was one of the coolest things I had seen in a long time at that point. Stringing Jay Briscoe up from his ankles while his blood poured all over Jimmy, that was good stuff.
I respect Black for stating what's on his mind about the fans and giving feenack to them. Not many wrestlers do that. Also, hopefully he has a good run in WWE. Probably be on NXT Season 3 with Consequences Creed.

I'm probably one of those people that don't see a problem with Tyler Black other than his mic skills being quite bland (I've only seen a few of his matches. Didn't think he was bad at all). I agree. Even though ROH is an indie, it is the most high profile indie in the country, and a key component to giving young talent a big stage to get noticed. Guys should have enough respect for the wrestling business and ROH not to jump ship while they have been given the privilege of wearing the ROH title. If WWE or even TNA wants a wrestler, a few months of waiting for them to drop the title to sign him is not going to make them lose interest. F Black for not having more moral character.

It's not that I don't like Black's choice of jumping to WWE, I'm excited about him going over to WWE. What bothers me is that he did it while still the champion. Couldn't he have at least waited until he lost the belt before getting into talks with WWE? Because by making the decision while the champion, it kind of sends the message that he doesn't care as much about the ROH World title as he does a contract.

@calikid05 My Network TV is dead as soon as Smackdown leaves and TNA is not going anywhere for probably another year at this point. HDNET will be in many more markets at the beginning of next year. No one else was willing to give ROH a TV deal this is as good as it gets at the moment which isn't bad because HDNET gives them some TV but at the same time doesn't make the grow bigger than they need to be.

@kyubidriven Except for the Telemundo and Mun2 replays, that part of the attack was removed from all WWE (English) programming. He broke a rule, plain and simple. Find the clip here on YT, and you will see that the tie was digging into Roberts neck. He was even trying to get his fingers under it to stop it from choking it. He went too far in that part, and was rightfully punished.

I can't possibly imagine, that with a more frequent house show schedule (with a MUCH larger gate than ROH), 4 different TV shows, a higher profile for out of the ring opportunities, video games, t-shirts, etc., that a mid-level WWE guy wouldn't still make considerably more than they would as ROH Champ. Besides, a lot of assumptions being made that he won't be a top guy. CM Punk is a former ROH Champ who's doing very well for himself. You never know.

I don't like haters too but I also am not a big fan of Tyler as the Champion because he simply doesn't have the Charisma, Personality or Mic-Skills to represent the company....yet. Even Bryan Danielson who was almost all about in-ring skills had to develop a great heel persona to be accepted as the Champion.

But Raw airs 10-15 seconds after it's actually been filmed, so they had plenty of time to cut that scene away. And it was a horrible reason to fire him to, while the rest of the Nexus was brutally attacking Cena, Young even strangling him with the ring ropes...

So many fans find it easy to criticize other people's career choice. He's a grown man who sacrifices his body every night & theoretically any match could be his last. Will he be a main eventer in WWE? Perhaps not, but he will be considerably more secure financially. The guy has to take care of himself & his family.

@TrilWil Here I have to question: Does being a jobber in WWE really get you more financially secure than being the Top Guy in ROH? Because I remember Joe and Punk saying in a Shoot Interview a couple of years ago, that you don't get that much more money in the big leagues as an undercarder, than you get as a top guy in ROH. And since then ROH has gotten much bigger and has much more money I'd say. I don't know if that's true, but it's a tough choice trading the top spot for an uncertain one.

ROH should turn Tyler Black heel before he goes to WWE cause I think that they could use the negative crowd reaction to their advantage. He should then vacate the ROH World Championship when he leaves for WWE and then ROH could have a tournament, where Davey Richards and Christopher Daniels should get to the finals and face each other for the vacant title at Final Battle.

I didn't want Black to win the belt, I wanted him to drop it to Davey at Death Before Dishonor, but that match sold me and I wanted him to stay champ for the forseeable future. Now he's leaving and it seems like a bit of a waste, but his match with Davey is still the best I've ever seen (and I got to see it live) and while I think his promo skills will give him trouble in the E I wish him the best and hope he's a world champ there too.

I'm probably one of those people that don't see a problem with Tyler Black other than his mic skills being quite bland (I've only seen a few of his matches. Didn't think he was bad at all). If you guys haven't realized by now, ROH's purpose in the wrestling industry is to find and develop the stars of tomorrow, the stars that will be at the top of WWE or TNA(lol) someday.
And I think thats a great thing, more guys that are ready to go and not spend months in developmental.
The new generation has already started and I look forward to seeing Danielson and Black in WWE!
