That is very disturbing. Thank you so much for sharing. Have you read a book called The Lizard King? A great book about people actually exploiting reptiles. Sounds up your alley.
Hi there. I also was hired to work as an LEO for USFW, after giving up a decent career to pursue this "dream job". Two months after the worst training and most unprofessional cluster **** I have ever seen in my 10+ year law enforcement/military police career, I left this disgraceful agency. The guys AND the instructors in my class has never been military or LE and had no clue how to conduct a proper search/ arrest. My boss was a biologist.. I am glad you received some compensation, good luck!
@girlcop04 That about sums it up, I once upon a time aspired to be a USFWS Special Agent, and your comment completely confirms for me that everything happens for a reason and it was surely fortunate that I never became involved. They are a bunch of disgusting low down crooked people (a couple good ones stuck in the muck). Thanks so much for your comment and support.
used to work as an LEO for this agency, it was the worse job of my LE career. They have non LE people who are hippy radical types running the show. if anything major happened they interfered with everyone's investigation and made a focus on ticketing people walking dogs without leashes. glad you won a judgment against them. they always are overstepping their authority
i just thought of somthing, arent they required to log everything they seize in the search? adn if so then how can they legally just mail it back in pieces without your signature saying you got each indivituall item?
@cgspeeddemon1 Good point. They logged everything on 3-5 sheets of carbon copy paper. The description was very generic, nothing detailed, lots of seized items not accounted for. It wasn't actually mailed back to me it was given to me most recently by an agent not sued, directly to one of my attorneys.
lol dont you just love the government? im glad to see you keep fighting them unlike those who would say give it up, think of how many people have had a simmilar thing happen to them and they just gave up or didnt know better......if you dont stand up for GA residents who will??
Reminds me of back in high school one of my friends had his VW parted out by LEO's on a futile search for drugs. When they started looking through his engine compartment he asked them if they wouldn't mind changing his oil. Guilty until proven innocent. Sorry to hear and good luck.
