@33RealMusic I think Kenny Burrell is one of the great Jazz guitar players, apparently Hendrix once said he wanted to sound like Burrell. Thank you very much Vitaly, I appreciate it.
Thx for getting back to me if you could send me a copy of the backing track that would be great , thx again iand i will keep watching your uploads regards leigh
I made the backing track myself I could see if I'e saved it and send it to you if you give me your email address. Though I'm not promising I've still got it.
HEY C!! Great personal interpretation of this Jazzy Comp!! Daaaamn that big ol Jazz guitar sounds SWEET!! You sure know how to use it properly too Bro Great riffs main!!
I don't know about you but I think Jazz is probably out of all genres of music the most fun to play becauseI can pretend my mistakes were done on purpose lol. Of course that's not true but it is fun to do. Thank you very much.
Followed you here from your 'Georgia' upload. This is even better - inspirational stuff. No unnecessary flashiness or scale-based riffing, just class playing. The only shame is that the camera isn't closer to your fretboard.
Congratulations my friend .. You are making a very beautiful sound in your Washburn J6 .. numbers and strings that you smooth USA? I also have a Washburn J6 Montgomery as his. I love these guitars...
Reading the dots is not improvising, and without improvising, it just ain't jazz. At 61 years of age and after 46 years of playing ( I still have the Midnight Blue Vinyl LP from 1964 ) I don't feel the need to post a video, thanx. KB was asked recently "Do you still practice scales, arps and voicings?" His reply " Every day".
I admire your perseverence to study and copy every riff that KB used, however I don't understand the 5 star ratings. Awesome ? no. The time spent studying is admirable, but the performance is choppy and does not have the spontaneity of an improvisation. 2 stars, nothing special.
Well, congrats on your reading ability. I once played at a jam where a saxophonist asked to play "Au Privave". He was brilliant but suddenly he stopped. I told him to take another chorus. He said " I'm at the end of the sheet" ...Hmmm.....OK
Well you should have put some repeat dots for him lol. My wifes step mother teaches piano but she can't play anything by ear, she has to have the dots I think this is quite common. Thank you for constructive criticism, I trust you shall be posting video footage of yourself in due course.
I am continually amazed by the audio quality in your vids. Jazz is such an "involved" style and you make it look and sound easy....which of course only the listening could be said to be easy....Well done. Rodney W.
Sweet! Gorgeous tone from your jazz box too. Can't help wondering if you worked out the chords by listening to Kenny or if you got the music.
