Ben Foster was the best actor in this film, real badass hate those John Wayne movies with the brightky colored outfits perfectly pressed and spottless charlis outfit looks great and its just a shame about what was generally a good movie the ending Charlie is loyal to his boss trying to free him and he gets blown away for his trouble.

And for those of you that doubt him bein gay, apart from the clothes, the way he carries his wrists, and the way he walks..watch the scene when the gang first enters Bisbee saloon, when Charlie sees Ben eyein the barmaid, tries to convince him to leave, says I'll wait for you, and is all irked when Ben dismisses him. Its more than just his appearance thats gay, Foster portrays well romantic feelings for Ben.

I absolutely love this movie.. I went to see it at the theater when it came out, but I sit down and watch it every time it comes on TV. IMO, Charlie Prince steals alot of the movie away from Ben Wade. Just that skinny, hat-in-the-eyes, wily gunslingin' character is to me what the romanticized versions of the outlaws of the old west should be..

Yeah Ben Foster portrayed the guy pretty well, he's got an intense presence about him. And no, he wasn't gay in the flick. In the bar is Brisby (spelling?) he was saying a prayer and what not, so he's probably somewhat religious like Wade was. From the comment about "Have you forgot what he's done for us?" leads you to assume that his devotion to Wade just shows the kind of debt he feels he owes. I didn't find him feminine though at all, not even flamboyant either except maybe his clothing style

I thought so too, but then recalled the Clint Eastwood movies that his character moves (even the tilt of his hat) seem to be based on. I think now that it was just flamboyant type of behavior. At other times, very macho. Sexy, no matter!
