  • Ever heard of mozart or beethoven?if these guys were any other place not Africa, stories would be of them, books written about them, their names immortalised for posterity. The music is about the lyrics, dexterity of the musicians in the harmonisation the instrumentals and vocal, not the dancing, most of those girls were not born when this music was played

  • that drum beat at the start is hot

  • codewit. I enjoyed the Oriental brothers. I do remember listening to Highlife from my Nigerian friends. This particular song is a classic. Whatever you do don't allow the devil to still your joy. The dancing may be offensive to some people who are use to the old ways, but the generation has changed. Prayerfully, that they will not lose sight. Elders please be patient with your young they will find their way, enjoy the music. It was left behind for generation to generation to come. Be bless!

  • these women can take you to the cleaners

  • is this a movie or what?

  • I see nothing obscene concerning this video, so whats the parental advice all about?

  • It always reminds me of the old days in Nigeria.

  • Can someone explain the video and song, thnx.

  • Beautiful video.....I saw similar dances at a recent picnic. There was folk music pulsating from the stereo and the guitar riffs were wickedly enticing. By the time the drums called people to the dance and the oja flute was whispering its magic, even i couldn't resist a dance.

  • i love this music

  • YES VIVIAN I CAN GET THEM 4 U

  • love the modern touch to such a clasic song...love it

  • Please does anybody know how I can get music cd of the oriental brothers.

    Vivian

  • Shame they dont do this kinda tunes these days!

    Lets treasure this

  • Nice song.Shout out to nwa adam Uchechi.

  • na wahooo imo girl like to shake der bum bum to much ooooh....dont blame them

  • I like the oriental music and dance, vivid, and very unbelievable how can they move their shapes like that, why some ppl are so dump to be against other natives, God loves all of us.

  • i love nigeria n my people in imo state our music , culture n dabce is beauty at its best...oh wow

  • I love it! What values are those who judge this video negatively using? Perhaps Eurocentric values.

  • I think you guys should stop the abuse, quarell and arguements about the dance and enjoy this beautiful music. i think this is one of the first album by Dr Sir Warrior, 1974/75. this particular track touched my being as a little boy whenever my Dad played it in those good old days. Thanks Codewit for another great post.

  • nice song, fuckk u dumb ass hole.imo is nice plaz.

  • This is pure IMO STATE's dance. This is devinely cultural. This is our culture, and if you dont like it click on something else to watch.

  • is dis in imo

  • i dont give a FUCK about all these BULLSHIT pple are saying about ASS SHAKING. Whether tradition/culture or not, these girls are really DIGGING it. if you dont like it, GO TO HELL.

  • Show some class. You don't have to display such vulgarity to express your frustration at a commentary. This only displays your limited vocabulary and command of the english language..It is forgiven. Now lets listen and enjoy Sir Warrior do his thing....Peace and Love

  • you seem to be the DICTIONARY clutching type. you always need it to express yourself. dont blame you anyway. i ll see what grade you are going to get out of ur uni. until then, i ll let your moronic head keep using those grandiloquent words. peace

  • correct music, from A.B.A TO L.A things ain't change, we keep our culture and our language connects us world wide.

    Biafra 4 life.

  • ohhh well

not a traditional dance but its not to bad

YES its its not igbo nor is its nigerian but oh well its just a video of girls

  • In the former Imo state and some places they dance like this !!!!!!!!!

    No doubts...

    bless

  • This is suppose to be Igbo cultural dance. if we are in a new generation, they should dress (short skirt and sexy top) and dance like new generation people probably R & B.

  • nice dance, we are in a new generation,

  • u guys should all shut ur mouth, this is d trend of today.

  • I believe you. am an igbogirl and i grew up in igboland. we don't shake our bum when we dance. such bad copycat should be banned in igboland.igbo culture is rich and we have to preserve it.o ga adili umuigbo mma.igbo kwezuenu.

  • I don't know why people would criticize something without offering any solutions. At least praise someone for doing something even if it's not to your desired standard. Thank you Codewit for a job well done.

  • I don't think you are right about Igbo cultural dance. What do you think "egwu ukwu" means. Igbo culture is diverse, while "egwu ukwu" may not exist in your area, it does in other areas of Igboland.

  • I totally agree with you guys on this one. Nigerians (in Nigeria) of late have been watching a lot of trash from Zairean and Congolese musicians where men bleach their faces and have also copied this irritating shaking of buttocks and gyrating asses like whores. It is a shame we have lowered ourselves to this level of moral depravity. SADLY ANNOYING! REPULSIVE DANCING SIMILAR TO THE INTERUPTIVE MUSIC YOU HEAR WHEN WATCHING NOLLYWOOD MOVIES. Have we lost the plot as a nation of copycats?

  • Terrible dancing. One of the Igbo classics ruined by the new tendency to shake breasts and waists for every tune. The Central African bad dance has damaged our sense of dance. Shame on these lazy video makers. Warrior will be turning in his grave.

  • You are ABSOLUTELY right. I was very shocked and felt so much shame that such a classic Igbo heritage is being ruined by people who lack a sense of pride in our culture. Are there no better dances in the whole of Igboland than this shameless parade of "copycatism" and stupid gait? This epitomises the current state of affairs with many aspects of our culture and traditions - i.e. our fast-disappearing music, language, dress, etc. It is frightening and paints a very gloomy picture for the future

  • please you know if you can move yo bum bum like that you would

  • Oh my God, so this is just a remake??? my God can you imagine no wonder i was thinking we dont dance like this in the 70's. Ah all Warriors efforts gone up in smoke like this, God forbid!!!

  • i really enjoyed this tune. i really don't see wot the big deal is with the video. i didn't see any nakedness, or the women being protrayed as "hoes", like u see in hip hop videos.

  • i believe you

  • Let the eagle perch and let the kite perch.

  • Reborn,i have been looking for this guys.

  • hey

happy to see my uncles great oriental music on youtube.

    obinna (Umuene)

    Canada

  • Nice music. Nwada di nma. Ibo girls are lovely, I cherish them.

  • Really brother it is fantastic and worthy to listen and watch,, keep it on and God be on our side ,, greetings to all

  • some people are never grateful for anything. i have watched the video and didnt see anything bad with it. if you dont like it or if you find it ofending please dont watch. Codewit jide ka iji. more grease to your elbow

  • If you can help it, stop spamming my channel. If you have issues, talk to the producer of the video or go purchase it. All i did was post the video as it is for you to enjoy. I know I can never satisfy everyone with what i do but please, leave me out of it. Thank you.

  • @codewit, i don reach home com back. thank you very much

  • there is something disturbing to see "not suitable for kids" when this video begins...because isn't oriental brothers music is loved, listened to and enjoyed by all...families listen to it together...so what is this nonesence? it is great that i an igbo babe can go on you tube, do a search and find my music online but it is terrible to see what i am seeing....

  • These are great music videos from Igbo legends. Control your kids or do not listen or watch the video. I have kids too. Those are our beautiful Igbo sisters dancing. There is nothing wrong anything. Igbo women are the most beautiful. I thank the brother or sister who put these together. Keep it up.

  • Codewit, honestly, u should've uploaded these songs (by Oriental Bros) without the vids! These videos are so degrading and Tacky! It daints the quality of these gr8 songs. Whomever that directed/compiled this piece of crap will answer to sir warrior himself on the last day...i mean, wtf?!

  • Well the blame if any goes to the director of the vid. This vid was produced and sold in 9ja the last time I checked. So 9ja has changed my friend and its unfortunate but when I went back to 9ja, this vid is tame compared to whats out there. For me, I don't mind the video bc codewit gave several warning of the nature of the vid and I love the music and thx codewit for this and all your vids!!!

  • no 1 is talkn about the vulgarity. Point is, the vids have NOTHING 2 do with the songs.w/ dis particular "nwa ada dinma" 4 instance,u'd expect a beautiful, wholesome type vid.I mean, if u wanna use girls, get better looking 1s in the first place, not some razz looking girls that dont even know how to dance! They even had dem dancing lewdly to songs pertaining to God.does that make n e sense to u? d whole thing is classless and reduces d value of d songs.its an eyesore watchn dem.
