  • unfortunatly this ignorant and lazy ass country has spent many years of their life taking vitamin DUH!

  • @tacomonster98 And you have put too much emphasis on taco consumption

  • The calculation is 35iu per pound of body weight. I weigh 200lb so therefore I'm taking 7,000iu per day. However if you have been diagnosed with a vit d defiency then you will need to take at least 50,000iu per week for at least 4 weeks. My vitamin D count is 13 which is very low. Some doctors even recommend taking 50,000iu for eight weeks.

  • Can low vitamin D cause hair loss?

  • LOL u can have MALK

  • I live in the northern europe, just started taking 1000 IU daily yesterday :)

  • Your recommendations are very conservative. Without testing, you should not go above 2000iu. They have not found toxicity in dosages under 20 000iu daily over a long time. Most adults need around 5000iu (if they get no sun) to reach good (around 80 ng/ml) blood levels. But most are magnesium deficient, and if you are and take vitamin D, you'll experience some nasty effects that some mistake as vitamin D toxicity. Another source of info: vitamindcouncil.
