I was about to agree with you, but if you listen carefully, his chords aren't that far off. Starts on Em-fine, goes on C which isn't part of the usual progression, however it does fit considering he falls right on G where it should be, and the usual melody that that guitar does just fits on a C. Then the D chord is kindof surprising, but still fine really. And the Chorus is spot on.All in all, yes he changed some stuff, but that's the idea of a cover, and its a very nice one I say!
