try a shure sm 57 or a sennheiser e 906. if you are looking for better results you could use condeser mics. akg 214 or something like this. to find a sweet spot you have to place the mic in front of your speaker, move it from center to the outside and listen what it sounds like. you could also use a portable recorder like a zoom h2/h4 or a tascam dr7 and so on just to find that sweet spot. then you just mark the place with a tape and you could start recording.
@Sting0NL Well... I have never tried a Mesa, but I think that this Kitty Hawk has a beautiful clean sound. Like a Fender Deluxe. Anyway... I'd like so much to get a Mesa Boogie =) (the perfect amp should be composed by a Clean Fender Channel and a Mesa Drive Channel)
hey im glad to see this as well - super impressive! all i know is to not put the mic right in the center of the amp speaker, but to the side where the resonance would be!! Im no pro but that's what ive read... very good and thanks for puttin your music out for free that's awesome! Keep on and God bless your talent for His purposes...
did you download my songs? please... spread them! but remember... there's no copyright on them, so don't copy my creations (even if they're not so awesome)!
I don't know if there's a "best way" to record an amp. I think the best way is only determined by how much you like the sound that you get. If you want a really big full stereo sound, try using 2 mic's and record into 2 different tracks. Pan one of the tracks to the left and the other to the right.
Oh yes !! Sugar for my Ears..Thank you..I am so glad I have JK and it looks as though you are happy as well!!

Nice playing, and perfect amp. I have the Kitty M1 60 Watts version. I think they are even better than Mesa Boogie!

I agree, it was pretty disappointing to find this awesome guitarist, and no more videos to watch. Glad to hear another great piece from you.

Using two different tracks panning each one on different channels is what I did in my other videos (like "clocks" itself...)
Anyway.. thank you so much =)
