I think that air new zealand uses their 747 to fly to yvr always now because on december 16th 2007 I went to chrischurch via aukland and we went on an air new zealand 777 but my grandmother came from new zealand this sumer and she went on 747. They probaly changed it so that they could carry more people from vancouver to aukland.

the equipment changes are probably due to a switch between winter/summer schedules. You'll probably find that the A330 and 777 return in september/october time
