  • Having room for 2.295" is nice. I have a Swiss Arms Green Classic, but it has a NEA lower. The NEA lower is great because I can use all my AR-15 mags, but I can't really have an OAL much longer than 2.260".

  • arghhhhhhhh I WANT YOUR RIFLE!

  • i cant get groups that good with my 1/7 twist swiss ... im thinking of selling it ..

  • @MrLongbranch303 What kind of ammunition are you using? Optics? Rest setup?

I'm using hand loads tuned for this rifle off a bench... It makes a huge difference... especially the hand loads part. Using factory ammo (other than Swiss, which I haven't tried yet), I can't even squeeze 2 MOA out of my rifle at 100.

  • @norcofreerider604 i tried a few hand loads, 62gr FMJBT 69gr HPBT matchking and 75gr A-MAX using Varget powder ... the 69gr matchking with 25gr of varget is the best load i found ,, my groups are about 3 times the size of yours at 200m ... im using a ACOG TA-31F.. yours is a 1/10 twist ???

  • @MrLongbranch303 Yah, 1 in 10. Try the load I use, and try tweaking it a little bit. Both the powder charge and seating depth are important, and can significantly change your results. How big are the groups you're getting? 3MOA? I wouldn't be happy with that either, but if you're getting 1.5 MOA, that's still pretty good.

  • @norcofreerider604 im just going to see if i can trade mine for a 1/10 rifle on CGN ....

  • @MrLongbranch303 I don't see a reason to do that yet. I bet your rifle can do sub MOA with the right load.

  • @MrLongbranch303 Try some 60 gr Hornady V-Max with the load data I posted. Also try some 68gr Hornady BTHP rounds with a similar OAL to mine with BLC-(2) powder.

  • Whats your recipe?

  • @pittsky Winchester brass, 60 gr Hornady V-Max projectile, CCI Large rifle magnum primer (450), 26.5 gr BLC-(2), OAL 2.295".

  • @norcofreerider604

2.295"? Are you single loading, or do those fit in the Swiss mags?

I load my .223 mag length loads to 2.260".

  • @pittsky They fit the Swiss mags and have about a 50 thou gap.

  • @norcofreerider604

    Large rifle primers?

  • @pittsky Yah, it's what all the pros use. :P

But seriously, it's a typo, lol. CCI small rifle magnum primers, no. 450.

  • fine shooting!
