Ok he was in like two explosions counting DSC version had tyrent stab him in the chest (RE1) got a 3rd degree burn (RECV) and then in the next game he looked perfect. Then in RE5 when he got thrown in the lava and when you look at his face (besides being all virised out) he looked the same the lava didn't even fase him beyond pain! And there trying to tell me that a STUPID rocket launcher killed him! HE MUST BE ALIVE! I think Capcom is just trying to throw us off track by saying he's dead.

THe Rocket does take his head off. I paused the game the moment the rocket strikes him, it passes straight between his shoulders - Taking his head off, and then exploding in the lava behind him with Sheva's rocket.

It happens in the game too. I believe it's just Capcom cutting corners. The pass over his shoulders and strike the lava behind him. I do believe he died though. Every game needs an end. Didn't Capcom say they were going to reboot the entire thing?

Keep in mind, in RE1, he is decapitated in the power room, and he somehow survived that, and in RE2, Mr.X falls into the lava thingy, and he just comes back stronger. I don't think he's dead.

The decapitation in the original RE1 was confirmed as Uncannon - It didn't happen. This was proved in the RE Remake, meaning.. Wesker never got decapitated in the original.
