To be completely honest this scares the bejeezus out of me. I worked with a baby who slipped under the bath, got scared, inhaled a bunch of bathwater and then had developmental problems because of oxygen deprivation. Gah!!
u must read this. once u have started there is no turning back. a little 10 year old girl was raped and murderded in 1945. her body was not found until 1947. then a boy last week read this and did not copy and paste this message. the dead girl appeared in his room haunting him and killed him if you do not copy and paste this onto 10 vidoes in 30 minutes the dead girl will apear in your room tonight and haunt you and kill you. be save paste now
This is amazing. Naturally babies are born knowing how to swim from being the womb. I had a little cousin who died...because during a swimming party at her parents house she fell in. :'( So I think this is very important, because you never know. You just never know and it happens so quickly...its like you don't even have a chance to think. I know it all to well... :'(
@painterofemotions1 Sorry to read that. Sorry for your loss. It is important for all parents to teach their babies how to float on water from very early age.
I have a sister and 2 younger brothers - and we were ALL taught this in teh 1950's by the Red Cross in California!!!!!!! We had a pool in the back yard and the Red Corss taught us all - not how to swim - but how to survive - falling into the swimming pool!!!! Roll over on your back - DO NOT panic - and start screaming!!!! We could ALL do this BEFORE we could walk!!!!!
I love the person that doesn't suggest this...why would you be afraid of your baby drowing...you are teaching them to swim and not in 8 foot water. If they start to go under, you grab them, duh! You only have yourself to blame if you leave them unsupervised or let them go under.
Babies before birth are practically swimming in mothers womb, its a natural reflex action that stays with babies until about they are around 1 year old, when they loose that reflex they can't swim and become scared of drowning
So what, your not in there with your child making sure they don't drown. If your child has a 75% of dying from accidental drowning because you didn't do this.....who are you going too blame then.

Humans are actually best adapted to swimming out of all the primate species. It's not surprising we have some instincts for swimming.

@AriesXDiamond That's mean. Not all people are educated and no one has the right to judge them. So nor have you.

I understand babies are suppose to be able to swim after birth and all but it still seems mean. And why are they dragging the babies by their heads??
