  • Rumsfeld will be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life; people will fill in where courts fail. Expect vigilante justice where the constitution is abrogated so egregiously.

  • @cheekieweekie - It is almost beyond human comprehension how evil these MF'ing politicians are. No matter what they do, no matter how many lives they mess up, they act as though they are teflon Dons. Not one of my 9 children, ( 1 is a police chief, one an airline captain, and one is a MD),ever served. Nor will my 23 grandchildren. I think I have talked at least 100 kids out of joining the military over the years. Be it PTSP, DU-238 poisoning etc...nobody comes home from war normal.

  • The pentagon is a credible source for *truth* as in the kind of truth that is not... very helpful to hear that building of scumbags confirm the crimes.

  • Oh Bush & Rummy are going DOWN! LIFE imprisonment.. I can wait to see the great big NOTHING that will happen.

Good luck lawyer, you're going to need it.

  • "strike a balance between government objectives and individuals rights even when the stakes are high"

No, especially when the stake are high

  • Send Rumsfeld, Bush, Obama, etc. and every fucker in the house and congress to Gitmo and waterboard those fuckers, it would be start to all the terror and abuses of the US gov.

This country is going to hell unless we do something to get it back, maybe it's too late - ugly days to come!

  • keith sure did wrap things up quickly when jeremy called out partisanship. what an assclown. i hope keith olbermann chokes on his own saliva

  • why is this guy always banging on about bush. you do realise obama is doing the ssame thing right?

  • @evilmeerkat007 Because what's WRONG is WRONG regardless of who does it. Torture is wrong. Denial of due process to American citizens is wrong. Should we just let those who do wrong, go free?

  • Top 16 Reasons to Prosecute President Obama

  • Rumsfeld is a fucking criminal.

  • So much for American 'Exceptionalism'.

Well, unless by 'Exceptional' you think 'torture' & 'abuse'.

  • This torture this is so last millennium. We got drugs for this now. Narco-interrogation coupled with old fashion good cop bad cop.

Water-boarding is last resort of a limited mind.

  • This should Be Resurved for our wourld Bankers ,,, GOD , My Lourd Make it Happen....

  • You shall not have lawyers, judges or cops in your government!

  • If torture gets the GOP what they want, it is only a matter of time before they use it as standard operating procedure on American citizens. They already lie constantly to the public and work diligently to block all jobs programs, thinking a high rate of unemployment will win them the election. They have no respect for the ppl and don't care about their suffering, so why would they restrain themselves from torturing Americans to get what they want.

  • Ok, this soldiers in guantanamo used trained dog that raped the POW as a torture. They have a woman to mestruate on a POW and they will shutdown the water in his cell, this is a big deal for muslims. They used sleep depravation, take finger nails of, burned the people with cigars repeatedly, assulted them sexually in front of other POW, shoke them almost to the point of of sofocating them. Water boarding is a stupid torture compared with the other things they did.

  • This is the same as terrorism. The mentality is: 'let's terrorize people to stop terrorists.'

  • Donald Rumsfeld shouldn't just be sued. He should be waterboarded himself then sent to the firing squad the assh*le.

  • LOLz @ 15:04

  • then US wonders how terrorists are born

  • How long before American citizens are picked up in the night and tortured in to confessions of terrorism and executed with out trial? Can't be far off.

  • Option1: head sawn off. Option2: head shoved down the crapper.

    Hmmm, thinks..

  • Why cant there be more journalists like Scahill?

  • We're having a discussion about torture by American officials. Who could have even thought it would have gotten to this point?

  • @seanlaca - where were you in 2006?

  • water board bush and his cronies and see how they like it

  • bush gave us obama and now who will obama give us? scares the shit out of me,dark days are ahead....

  • @agent1up I dont think there will be anymore president. At least with the same political system we have. We will have a dictator or if the people from this country grow some balls, we will have a president elected by the people after the people take over their goverment again

  • @agent1up

As long as people know more about the next episode of the Jersey Shore instead of what is going on in the world, then yes, you should be scared.

  • Techniques that Emperor Palpatine, (also known as Darth Sidious) would be happy to employ.

  • interrogation is used to gather intel

torture is, and has always been, used to gain *confessions*.

they didn't want new information, they wanted the information they gave to be signed. you can't invade Iraq unless you waterboard a few people to get them to tell you that there's all these WMD's there. It didn't matter if the WMD's existed or not.. that wasn't the point.

  • Obama you cock sucker, your not with us at all! You've fucking created confusion and terror amongst the party you supposedly believe in but never support or stand up for! TREASON

  • People like Jeremy Scahill are the last hope for journalism.

  • what do they call it when a group of 6 Denver cops show up at the door, handcuff me, shoot me several times with a bean bag gun at close range while handcuffed, then keep me in a room for 8 hours with handcuffs so tight on all 4 limbs that my hands and feet were swollen for a week? Is that torture or do they have a fancy word for it? I know that I was charged with disturbing the peace for this incident that began while "fuck the police" played on my stereo in the background.
