  • Bro.. Madd props on this vid

  • only niggers hate this champion

  • Marciano will never get the respect he deserves, especially with black boxing fans. Was marciano the greatest HW to ever live? No, but he was a HELL of a boxer and should be in everyone's top 10 HW list.

  • You had me believing until you put in "hitting the ropes to..."

You just threw your argument in the garbage with that one. Good video up to that point.

  • @boxing4free ..If you went in a boxing ring against a girl you`d be crapping your pants sonny let alone the hardest men on the planet who made a living out of putting people in hospital. You`d probably be coughing up blood after 2 rounds. Unbelieveable that one of the greatest most feared fighters on the planet ever and the very fittest who was never beaten with an amazing ratio of 43 KO`s in 49 fights can be critised by a most probably useless twit like you. You embarrass yourself ignoramus

  • @andwestuk I am blown away by your stupidity. You misinterpreted a comment I made about someone's theory to mean that I don't think Rocky Marciano is any good. I am a fan of Marciano, hence the reason I clicked on the video. Rocky was clever in many ways, a natural fighter. However, he did not hit the ropes on purpose. He clearly missed a punch. As for me, I was a fighter. If you knew how to use YouTube, you would find I have several of my OWN fights uploaded for all to watch.

  • If you can sum up a fighters career long defense in 4 and a half minutes they had no defense. This video is bogus, so he can duck punches and counter-punch. So what? Every pre-Dempsey fighter learned to duck and counter punch. There's nothing amazing here.

  • Thank you for this excellent video. Rocky Marciano is often technically underrated... note also how Muhammad Ali always danced clockwise around Sonny Liston,,, thereby rendering Liston's left ineffectual.

  • Thanks. Marciano seemed to have a sixth sense about where the next blow would come from, prepare himself, then time his response at the perfect moment. Wayne Gretsky said what made him a great hockey player was skating to where the puck was going, not where it was at the moment. The same with RM, only he had to think and respond much faster than that. This puts his talent in a new perspective.

  • Great job! Thanks for puttint that together!

  • I like the crouch technique that he uses. He ducks under everything, the opponents punches have limited leverage because they have to punch downward. And Rocky can use the ground as leverage, he can thrust his legs from underneath into everyone one of his punches. Truly awesome! I think he would give Ali a hard time because Ali struggled against these types of fighters. Ali was ineffective at inside fighting and it was almost impossible to prevent Rocky from getting in close.

  • Rocky Marciano is way underrated, he had good defense, good stamina great punching power, good chin and was just all round tough. People like him and Larry Holmes dont get the credit they deserve

  • i like the defense he showed during the exchanges id rate his defense 5/10

  • @thewelshviper An F in other words...poor??? You must be laughed at....That was better defense than a five...

  • @djk28161 i gave it dive because yes this is good defense but he still did get hit a lot in fights

  • I see Rocky getting hit an awful lot in this video. Not to upset anyone, because I'm a fan too.

  • The G.o.a.t

  • He had excellent head movement. no doubt. A punchers defense always gets overlooked.

  • Thank you for making this video. People often say stupid things about Marciano, but the men who fought him knew how hard it was to land a clean shot on him. Rocky's style was very unorthodox and it gave lots of great fighters a great deal of trouble. He appeard slow and easy to hit, but that was only to sucker you into getting close to him. Once he had you there, he beat you up from head to toe.

  • Nice vid! Ali said he was surprised at how hard RM actually was to hit during sparring for their simulated fight. Frazier was blind in his lft eye and had to walk in squared up. RM was no Frazier, he bladed his body & shifted his weight back on his back leg in addition to slipping punches to avoid shots. If he could avoid slick speedsters, like Charles, he could avoid a slow roundhouse puncher like Big George. Meanwhile he would've landed his big right hand on stand-up GF, like Lyle did.

  • Well done, and it makes a lot of sense since pressing the fight and working on the inside is often like staring down the barrel of a gun or playing a game of chicken with a bull. It would seem reasonable that subtle slips and slight angles would happen all the time, as well as the classic duck and step-inside, and waiting or reacting to a punch to get underneath it.

  • @crawlFace

    Bottom line:

regardless of who in their prime, there's nothing an opponent can look forward to when fighting Rocky Marciano.

The classic example of extremely dangerous from beginning to the end of the fight.

  • Awesome video mate ....Rocky Marciano for me was the greatest boxer of all time !!!

  • very true.underrated defence and boxing ability. You cant be the heavyweight champ with a 68'' reach and not have excellent skills.

  • best ever fighter, no competetion

  • rockys rated one of the hardest punchers ever, along with the defense. ownage.

  • Marciano was good, but he was also lucky to come along at a time when all the best fighters (like the ones highlighted here) were old men well past their primes wthout the energy, reflexes and durability of their younger years

  • @zulubro he had some good fights that went the distance with men that were as young as him, like ezzard charles

  • The Greatest Champion Boxer that ever Lived Rock Marciano.

  • im very glad that you made this , i always saw that marciano's style was more than just buldozing

  • Joe Louis did manage to get quite a few sluggish jabs in to trouble Rock, not bad for a 137 year old!

  • ali would win

  • 1:44 (Blocking and getting out of range. Hahahah! Marciano actually got hurt!!

This video only exposes him more! It shows him leading with his head 90% of the time. Tyson in his prime would massacre him inside of 2 rounds by stepping to the side and breaking him down with body punches and uppercuts to the chin. This is funny!.

  • @khaliamoon Mike Tyson in his prime got his ass handed to him by Buster Douglas.

  • 3:06, Joe dodged that punch. It wasn't a distraction. A dancer would destroy Rocky. He was too small compared to heavies these days. Rock 5'9 185, heavies today 6'5" 250. No contest.

  • @khaliamoon Today's heavyweights suck the big one, don't forget that. They spend all their time in the weight room getting big, strong, but also slow, sluggish and not enough time on skills. Rocky routinely threw 90-120 hard punches per round and was ready to go 15 rounds every day of the week easily. Show me where a guy like Valdimir Klitschko could come anywhere near to fighting at that pace. The guy is gassed after 4-5 rounds even after only throwing 20-30 punches a round at the most.

  • @LedWhisky69 I agree. I quit watching the Heavies after Lennox retired. It's garbage now.

  • The thing with Rocky Marciano is that he had allot of endurance and this leaves endless oppertunities for him to win. Pacman and rocky have that similar trait in common. When your not winded you wont drop your hands as much and continue to add pressure. Thanks for posting.

  • GREAT VIDEO! THANX REDNECKKRUDY!!!!

  • I appreciate what the editor was trying to do with the captions but I think it would have been better without them. A couple of the comments are questionable at best.

  • willie pep and floyd mayweather jr are the greatest defensive fighters ever

  • When the boxing talk gets started among my friends I usually drop Rocky as my favorite heavyweight. This much due to his defense, and other technical skills. I often compare Rocky with Tyson arguing that it's the defense paving the way for the offensive. This video highlights this in a brilliant way. The thing making Rocky great was that he just kept on going with his technical style when other boxers slowly fainted.

  • It's like alot of fighters who keep coming forward, everybody thinks their easy to hit.But guys like Rocky and Smokin Joe were better at defense, than people give them credit for.Frazier made Ali miss alot, during their 3 fights.

  • Joe was 137 years old, that's what Frank Sinatra told me.

  • @PUGZCAT "I don't know how old he was, but he got his ass whooped".

    - Coming to America, best movie ever!

  • Only one can be The Greatest... thank you Muhammad Ali to become BOX in REAL BOX !!!!

(Marciano only fought one fight in his career and it was against a very old and slow Joe Louis, Ali fought against real monsters!!!!!!

  • @RNOB even Ali said Marciano would've given him problems. They sparred a few rounds for the computor fight and Rocky hurt him with those body shots. I don't think you realize how fucking hard that guy hit. It was harder then Frazier, and Frazier's style was the toughest for Ali. now did Ali have a tougher career? Sure. Marciano fought a couple geezer's, but they were beating up on everybody else. He also fought a few young, VERY tough fighters for the 40's and 50's. it was a different era

  • Great vid! Loved what I was seeing. Old School ways. Not too many young trainers show or try to teach these techniques like they should.

  • @BoxerRJM52:

99% of today's trainers don't even know how to teach any of these techniques. I'm saying this from experience.

  • @tw69hands2 would you say that the lighter weight classes nowdays are more in touch with these defensive techniques? I have a coach named Danny Perez, who is a former NABF light middleweight champ, and he teaches very long combos, breaks them down well for us to learn, and always incorporates slips, feints, and ducks in them but i haven't really done any drills that are exclusively defensive.

  • I think Frazier- Marciano would be better than Marciano- Ali. Two hard hitting, short brawlers with great chins and stamina colliding with each other, and you know neither of them would take a step backward in the ring.

  • @Maryjaneslave Thank you. This for me is the more interesting match up as well. Ali - Marciano would come down to whether Ali could force the stoppage before Marciano can get to him. Whereas Frazier is more like Rocky and their fight would be a pure test of wills.

  • I love this because most people dont study boxing it is a science,

  • Its White Tyson for me.

  • Great vid... great music... great champ...

When I see all the shit that's on YouTube, these 4:24 were a pleasure to watch !!!

  • "Hitting the ropes to distract Louis" lol, I hope that was meant to be funny

  • hits the ropes to distract louis... that was priceless.

  • At around the 57 second mark against Walcott, look how Marciano ducks and bobs left then right, Tyson used to the the very same thing then launch an attack from that position.

  • So what if he missed the man's head and hit the ropes, he landed more than he missed, he was a humble, modest man, and probably wouldn't even admit his greatness, because he was such a nice guy, hold on, is such a nice guy, he ain't gone, he still lives on in my heart. Great job for pointing out the good things in this video RedneckkRudy

  • sick video

  • @burrirlo Boxing and basketball is ours as well. Would you like to BE a player? It is possible. <3

  • This is a GREAT video! Really love how you put captions to this and slow it down, very nice job.

  • marciano had adifferent kind of philly shell defense and his movements were great.

  • Hitting the ropes to distract is really a great but under used defensive teqnic.

  • @Doderhultarn89 really? it seemed like he missed the dudes head and hit the ropes lol

  • Nice how he slips punches.

  • Excellent video. I have long believed that Rocky was a far better defensive fighter than is commonly believed. He had a great chin, incredible stamina, and great firepower--but his defensive skills, especially in his later years, should not be underestimated. In this way he is like a prime Jack Dempsey, who looked wild, but who was rarely hit cleanly.

  • the real name was Rocky Francis Marcheggiano not Marciano....

  • @estategioiosa ...and who said it wasn't?

  • The most deceiving fighter in history.Only those who tried to out punch or out box him knew how great he really was.Short armed stocky build and clumsy looking, and used it all to his advantage.

  • No one could punch like him and no one could take a punch like him .That's why he was never defeated and is the only heavyweight champ in history to be that way.

  • Undefeated !!! Says it all !

  • the real stallone

  • wow nice moves, slo-mo really helps

  • my old man always said Rocky was better than most thought he was...not a great boxer as such...but quicker and tougher than people realised...resilient and as fit as hell and could dish it out too. He always said, for a fighter who started late in life his acheivement was all the greater.

    Brilliant video!

  • Look at how many Ali fans come here to bad talk Rocky!

    Fuckin douchebags!

  • GREAT VIDEO! Thank you SO much for this upload guy!

  • You can see that he inspired Mike Tyson a lot.

  • Like this a lot. Great analysis.

  • 49-0 BABY!

  • yeah fasho marciano had great head movements.

  • around 2.50 he ducks and doesnt look at his oppononent, calzaghe did this at times too, some coaches tell you not to do it because then you cant see whats coming, but i think its cool. What do you mean by hitting the ropes to distract Joe Louis? ive watched it a few times and all i can see is that he misses with a right hand?? do you mean he pushes him onto the ropes to make JL move off?

  • good video!

  • ofcourse Macriano had defence.

u cant go 15 rounds if u have a shit defence, sry u just cant.

but he didnt rely on defence as much his offence. im not a big fan of marciano but all respect is due, the guy was a heavyweight chamion, have some respect.

  • Interesting approach to the fight scene, of course not always so ballet with it, may play a better scene with Ali and his grace and foot work, nice idea either way!

  • @theloosegoose333 this is not an Ali video dude.

    You're on the wrong page...

  • Hitting the ropes to distract Joe!!!

You cant be serious?!! Ha ha

  • @gatesofpearl

Fairytales... Rocky would corner Clay and knock him unconscious. No rope-a-dope with Rocky: just "pain-a-head".

  • @ezekielwahwah LOL NICE!!!

    XD

  • @ezekielwahwah lol I LOVE that! "pain-ahead"!

    xD

  • @ezekielwahwah please! Ali would pop Rocky with the jab and dance around him all night long untill the ref stops the fight fight due to a bad cut and unanswered right hands. Ali by 10th round TKO!

  • @MrRealandreal

Nah it would be just like Ali-Frazier 1 but with more pain for Ali, since Marciano was clearly meaner and smarter than Frazier: Rocky would tease Ali, letting him do his own showboat and slowly wearing him down with body shots... Ali's dancing and taunting will get him tired by the 10th round, where Rocky would catch him clean with a tremendous right hook and put him to sleep.

  • @ezekielwahwah ali said in an interview that maricano was a great fighter and had respect for him. who knows what would happen ali may have outboxed him and won or rocky may have been to relentless and won who knows. they both were never knocked out. and both were all time greats

  • @todafacetodaface

If both were in their prime and fit, the fight would probably go on for 12 rounds (or 15, at the time), and then one would win by a close split decision based on the judges' bias. ;-)

  • im gonna be the updated more advanced version of marciano

  • Fantastic images - thanks for them!

And that explains why did he keep his title for such a long time - he really had some solid defensive skills. And it couldn´t be different because it´s impossible to be a HW champion if you don´t have great defense. In this category, punches are insanely hard because all fighters are very very strong. In real life, no one survives being hit all the time, without defending well. What a great video! thanks a lot!

  • if you made this video its fantastic & if you didnt thanks for putting it up.

  • 3:57 that was a great punch, like an ape clubbing someone

  • one thing that first caught my eye when watching old tapes of rocky was his defensive ability, i simply thought he was amazing and it sparked my love of this sport

  • Rocky is no.1 HW of all time. Hes an undefeated, heavy hitting beast with insane stamina and just look at this video.

  • THE DUDE WAS BAD TO THE BONE. HE COULD THROW HARD PUNCHES FOR FIFTEEN ROUNDS, NON-STOP. BUT HE DIDN'T HAVE TO DO IT MUCH. HE'D KICK YOUR ASS.

  • love this video thanks for posting

  • jesus christ, never saw the kind of defense he had in his normal fights this is a real eye opener i just always assumed he was simply a hard hitter but woah

  • That is a terrific video. Thanks. Always loved Marciano, but what a difference this makes seeing how defensively smart he was in slow motion. Love da Rock!

  • thanks, never so Marciano under this light! excellent contribution!! ;-)

  • SO ALI NEVER GOT HIT? IS THAT WHAT YOU'RE SAYING? YOU CLEARLY KNOW MORE THAN ALI CAUSE EVEN ALI SAID IT WOULD BE A TOUGH FIGHT! AND WHEN THEY SPARRED 20 YEARS AFTER ROCKY RETIRED ALI SAID HIS ARMS WERE SORE FOR 2 or 3 DAYS AFTER from just JOKING AROUND.

  • Heldern and saynottoblabla are two fucking idiots . What a bunch of pathetic retards gtfo morons .

  • Not in my top 10 of the greatest heavyweight of all time. Maybe, maybe on top 20.

  • sloppy. sloppy. sloppy. This guy fought in the weakest era of boxing. He would not stand a chance against the era of Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Holmes, and today's heavies the Klitshkos brothers. James Toney would punish him, Holifield would beat him, Jones Jr. would beat him, ..... He's quite a sloppy guy. He beat older or retired former heavies. I don't consider the Joe louis victory seriously. Joe louis was retired and should have remained retired. Joe louis was not his former self.

  • @SayNoToBrainWashing He was sloppy at times and looked sloppy on these films where the subtle movements are harder to spot but when he fought better fighters you'd see his defense and skill come out. Even Ali commented that he wouldn't be sure if he could beat Rocky.

And said that he would have been harder to fight against than Joe Frazier...

  • nice

  • Comment removed

  • god!!! i hate the fanboys hahahaha "rocky marciano would win muhammad ali" hahahaha

and sonny liston would destroy rocky too. please......

rocky was too small, too slow,no defense, no skill,no reach, h e only faced garbage....

ali,tyson,frazier,foreman,holmes,vitali,lewis,evander... they would be undefeated in the time of rocky 100%

  • great compilation, rocky marciano is the BEST!!!!!!

  • undefeated = undefeatable

  • everyone knows rocky had a very good defence. Tyson copied it.

  • Tyson gud at defence,r u kiddigng me!!!!!

  • @Roccaveli7 tyson would ko rocky, and foreman would murder rocky, they are only fanboys. if 1 old cruiser like walcott could knock down rocky lol...

  • everyone knows rocky had a very good defence. Tyson copied it.

  • This is one of the best and most complete video that show how boxing is a science on youtube. You should be proud of you.

  • Rocky did not beat ali, that was a computer fight, but it was done on a super computer. Marciano was the best fighter ever.

  • Cont. As well as studying guys like Roy Robinson, and Willie Pep, Joe Louis, etc. I tell people if they try to fight like Ali they will most likely get their arses whooped. And of course studying Iron Mike is good for old school technique in somewhat contemporary times, and James Toney

  • Nice work.

  • Nice and clever video. Many compliments!

  • nice fighter!!! im very impressed

  • Nice video, well done :D Old school moves for sure. He didnt just depend on a guard.

  • that's what happens when you're arrogant and look down on your opponent.

  • Marciano's opponents, even in his time, were so busy calling him "second rate" no one seriously analyzed his weakness.

  • Rocky is one of my favorite fighters, but the way he leaned forward?

Truly, God was on his side all his fights how NO ONE seemed to notice that!

  • you mean the od of war like he muslims?

  • 2:51

seriously, don't fire a right uppercut at Marciano or anything, his head's too high and it wouldn't do much damage....

  • Excellent video mate, what music did you use?

  • Thanks. At 4:19, the music titles are listed.

  • @RedneckkRudy Doh, cheers dude

  • @RedneckkRudy , Got the Waltz... was curious about the last piece of music not listed...

  • It's the theme music for the great movie Das Boot (1981). I cannot post a direct link because YouTube's spamfilter deletes it, but you can find it by searching for "Das Boot - Original Movietheme (1981)". Cheers!

  • @RedneckkRudy, thanks so much for this vid! I study it for not only myself but for the people I teach. I do an all-encompassing combative program that does Krav Maga, Kali, American Boxing (which I had a short career in and hopefully will be having a comeback in 2-4 years), tae kwon do, etc. But Marciano's and Archie Moore's defense r very important to learn

  • @RedneckkRudy Aha! I wondered where I had heard it before! Great vid by the way.

  • You're not gong find many 100+ match guys in the 80's and 90's, like there was in the late 40's and 50's, no brain scans in those days. There's a difference between being old and fat and being shot.

  • joe walcott was a beast.

  • @vegetayy lol " joe walcott was a beast" haahhaa why? because he put the ass of rocky in the floor? lol walcott was not even 1 kid compared with george foreman... rocky is overrated. many boxers would destroy rocky.

  • @jimmynablee jow walcott was realy a very good boxer.u have to watch louis vs walcott.i dont think marciano was able to beat ali but im sure he beats frazier.on the near distance marciano had a very powerfull punch even with his light weight.

  • @vegetayy

I DO NOT THINk ROCKY WOULD WIN FRAZIER, joe had better defende, better move of head, more skill, i think even more stamina than rocky, he did more pressure,he had great heart, great chin(foreman could not ko frazier, he was stoped by tko) rocky might not ko frazier, foreman was 20 times harder puncher than rocky. i go with frazier by ud. of course foreman would smash rocky in 3 rounds.

  • Nobody had more stamina and did more pressure than Rocky in heavyweights history.

I see Rocky's greatness is poison for you.

  • Rocky came after the Great Depression and the World War II.

A great champion like Walcott for many years had the problem to eat enough...Boxing is history, Rocky was the greatest at his times and the only undefeated HW champion ever. When legendary Ezzard Charles with an unvoluntary elbow shot split his nose, Rocky needed an early K.O. And he did it!

Everybody during a career has a bad day, or a bad shape: Rocky never lost.

    FACTS, not fucks J

    Study, study boxing history 49(43)-0-0

  • @panfel78 study boxing history? the only who need study boxing history are you, you are a simpleton, your points are stupid, bye poor fanboy, rocky marciano is a fraud.

  • @jimmynablee You waste your time, too much time, commenting on the only unbeaten champion in HWs' history. Rocky's career was perfect, he will be a legend forever.

It's clear this fact annoys you.

You could ignore Rocky, but his greatness is hard to admit for you. You have some sort of prejudice, I don't know. But it isn't important.

    Take it easy.

  • @jimmynablee When you say foreman was 2 times harder puncher than Rocky I hope you don't believe that's actually true...

  • @vegetayy joe walcott faced past prime joe louis, walcott was good yes, but it is not matter, i talk on his puching power, if walcott knocked rocky down, imagine foreman or frazier. joe was also heavier, stronger and bigger than rocky. frazier was better than rocky in everything except the power in the right hand.

  • @jimmynablee Joe was also bigger and stronger than Ali and we know how that turned out...

  • @J0ker4u ali was 6´3 and 214 and 221 pounds when he faced frazier , retard, ali was always bigger and heavier than frazier, marciano was 5´11 and 187 pounds,

kid, george foreman was MUCH STRONGER,MUCH HARDER PUNCHER, MUCH MORE REACH, MARCIANO WAS DOWN BY GARBAGE LIKE 1 OLD WALCOTT (CRUISER), FOREMAN WOUL D MURDER ROCKY.

  • @jimmynablee Poor little Consta his older account got banned because he was posting too many lies at youtube all day long.

Now he has come back with another nickname, I wonder how long this account will last?

By the way jackass Rocky Marciano = Greatest fighter EVER lived would kick the shit out of Muhammad Ali & Michael Tyson, Pussy George etc.

  • @Marchegiaanoouuu not kid listen, jerry quarry, genne toney, riddick bowe, larry holmes, david tua, vitali klitschko, john sulivan, jin corbett, tim witherspoon, lennox lewis.... would win rocky. past prime 74-75 ali,joe frazier, tyson, jack jonhson, prime joe louis, evander holyfield, sonny liston.. would win rocky any day in the week, prime ali would play with rocky, but george foreman would shit in the face of italian pussy who is rocky marciano

  • @jimmynablee Haha lot's of names, many whom you have never even seen fighting and you think they would beat the Rock? Anyone before the 1950's except Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis and maybe Gene Tunney would be EASY for Rocky. those three could give even LITTLE challaenge. Anyone after the 1950's would be VERY EASY too. George Foreman would could move on the grill business little easier after fighting Rocky, that hard he would get BEATEN UP.

  • @Marchegiaanoouuu george foreman would kill rocky in 2 rounds it is a fact like i am talking here and now. you must understand your hero is a garbage who never faced nobody, he was down by 1 old cruiser like walcott lol, foreman would murder, rocky, walcoot, charles.. in 1 night

  • @J0ker4u MARCIANO HAD NO SKILL, NO DEFENSE, HE ENDED ALL HIS FIGHTS WITH HIS FACE LIKE A SHIT, AND ALI WAS STYLIST, ARE YOU COMPARING ALI WITH MARCIANO? LOL ALI WOULD PLAY WITH ROCKY

  • @jimmynablee LMAO....yes Ali would have TRIED to play with Rocky. But in the end when it was all said and done, Ali would have been bright eyed and bushy tailed trying to stop an NON STOP Rocky. Ali would have been punished severely.

  • @rifleman522 muhammad ali prime or past prime would win rocky marciano any day in the week.

  • @jimmynablee Funny....Ali himself doesn't even agree with you. I tend to believe the experts. I think Ali knows more about boxing than you do. A LOT MORE.

  • @rifleman522 Actually ali always believed he would win against marciano...so i don't know where you are getting your facts bro

  • @Rooseveltdunn Actually, I know you don't know where I'm getting my facts bro. But I do. Wide World of Sports 1976 vids here on youtube. As any boxer is, they are always confident they will win against an opponent. Ali was confindent as always, but expressed it's hard to prove who would have won.

  • @rifleman522 he said it would be hard to predict however he never said marciano would beat him,. when they did their simulated fight and marciano was picked as the winner ali even joked about it saying the computer was probably from alabama,so yeah don't take something and turn it into something else

  • @Rooseveltdunn Actually Ali did say Marciano would probably have beaten him, if you go back and listen to the interview. You're only listening to what you want to hear. Don't try and say I'm turning it into something else, that would be what you are doing. I'm only repeating what Ali said.

  • @rifleman522 in their simulated fights he did say that he would have won as well so your point is moot...he was just been nice when he said that otherwise he would not have objected to the results of their simulated figtht,i am far from doing any wishful thinking of fact twisting,Ali had the chin to handle Marciano's power, the speed, the size, the reach and just as much of a heart, styles make fights a 1966 Ali in his prime would have won..

  • @Rooseveltdunn Just being nice? Since when has Ali ever been "nice"? Especially when it comes to bragging about himself? My point is far from moot. Ali knew a fight with Marciano would have been a war, and he also knew he is not sure who would have won. Period. Bottom line. You can say a prime 66 Ali beats Marciano all you want. It doesn't mean it would have happened by any stretch.

  • @rifleman522 actually Ali was nice to many of his opponents,he used the bragging and name calling to sell fights...anyways i am gonna be brief you ve wasted my time enough, styles make fights, ali had a solid chin, faster hands, more reach, better competition, better foot work and much better technique...styles make fights, Marciano would have lost by decision if not by knock out, if an old and worn out ezzard charles could almost do it then ali would have done it easily. that's the bottom line.

  • @Rooseveltdunn Ali, easy for the rock. Tyson or Foreman, not so easy!

  • @MORCOPOLO0817 Ali's style would have given marciano problems i think ALi would have been a very bad match up,too fast and too mobile Marciano did not like to dance around and chase, tyson and foreman while equally as strong as the rock were less annoying with their feet

  • @Rooseveltdunn

Bullshit. Marciano had a better defense than Ali. And that is also why Ali has got Parkinson desease and Marciano not. Ali had great technique but Marciano was just too tough for him.

  • @ezekielwahwah @ezekielwahwah Marciano had better defense than Ali? ali got parkinson's because he fought much longer than rocky and in his later years he relied on absorbing punishment rather than evading, your statement was so myopic and unintelligent that i feel bad just responding please go away lol
