I'm not as familiar with MS as I should be. VEMS hardware is completely different & automotive grade (weather/heat/shock resistant) along with weather resistant ECU plugs. The firmware is also different and shares no code of any kind with MegaSquirt. VEMS has a world class wideband controller built in where MS has no native solution for that. Same with the EGT controller.
For some time they shared tuning software (Mega Tune would also interface with VEMS) but that was as far as it went.
VEMS also used to be "open" a long time ago, until someone stole their great wideband controlling code. So that, coupled with the fact that you could also tune it with Mega Tune makes a lot of people think they are related when they are not.
Oh, okay, that makes sense then. They just shared the tuning software, I thought it was the exact same thing. Are you still in the B13 game, by the way?
