  • Dave u really make me wanna buy this glue in fact I just ordered some from games workshop 10 bottles yay (it was payday)

  • Is the glue bad if you just get a whiff of it?

  • Testors is better. And cheaper for that matter.

  • i for one prefer Revell's contacta proffesional, cheaper and it drys within seconds

  • are you secretly telling me to smell the fumes?

  • i think the glue smells nice :)

  • Its know as rubber cement her in the states. If you don't need to have citadel labels on everything you buy you can get it at any hobby shop and many toy stores.

  • poly cement

  • i love the backround pictures in these videos, they make it look like dave is a tiny model

  • I would buy my plastic glue now, but unfortunately my company reported a net loss of 10 million Euros this year and I won't get the 2 million bonus needed to buy a bottle.

  • Its actually a lot cheaper to buy in england as the euro prices are huge

  • check out this video The Great Games Workshop Conspiracy

  • luckaly im only half human

  • you have the style of a used car salesman

  • oh yes I forgot you are half human and half chaos lol hi dave

  • Here's a link that should work in Canada and USA : /watch?v=9u2eN92iDIA

  • I was thinking of pouring a bunch of it on a model and just watch it melt (what a Cruel world!)

    only there's 2 problems

    (1) it's glue, so it wouldn't work as an acid (no matter how fun it would of been)

    (2) I'll probably collapse to the fumes if I even tried.

  • 30 seconds.... I can show you 3 seconds glue. Put this at the end of youtube adress in the adress bar /watch?v=47jWyBI2sso

  • @chronore apparently its blocked in canada

  • you can get the testors one thats way thinner and comes with a brush for like 1/100000th the price

  • fuck, your right im a bit dizzy.........

  • OH GOD THOSE CONTAINERS SUCK! Mine always dry out! I prefer the Contacta Professional containers with the metal bit to apply.

  • You guys did a video about plastic glue?! Really?!

Talk about a slow news day...

  • My glue barely sticks any more... it takes several hours to fasten them together with any decent strength, I can pull them apart way too easily. I bought it not long ago either, so it's not like the glue has expired or anything.

    Help?

  • @smudgethekat

plastic glue never works for me but just keep in mind that it doesnt work well with resin were u working with resin/citadel finecast models?

  • can you walk into games workshop and buy the glue? or do you have to get the the entire citadel hobby set all over again xD

  • @wendor24 ask them some of them dont have it but most of them do

  • @kollfrog2 thanks

  • so will the plastic glue work with the new resin figures?

  • @recyard12x no

resin is mutch more ......... fine.... you can not use it cus i wo'nt melt

  • Games workshop has way to much overpriced items

  • @Dproncs thats mainly becasue its all imported but there making a factory in america =D

  • @Dproncs But They Are acutrully worth it

  • @Kurtis424 I disagree, but alas i can pay 6 pound for a squad of marines on average on ebay :D

  • @Dproncs yeah i know i have a lord kaldor thAT i kept worrying about his paint job i overprimed it again and again now its lost all its fricking detail

  • @Dproncs Amen, to bad their produkts own.

  • its not super glue its plastic glue xD

  • dave youre epic!!

  • but luckly im only ha;ve human

  • Glue? i thought it was liquid gold by the price of it.

  • my fingers get stuck together when i use it.lol :0

  • Heh, only problem: almost any hobby goods manufacturer sells the very same thing at a fraction of the GW price. :)))

  • I really hate almost every games workshop item, accept for the mini's (overpriced aswell). Everything but i mean litterely everything is way overpriced at Games Workshop. For example the price of the paints went up from 2,50 to 3,00 (euro) that is a rediculous percentage. & what do you guys think of the games workshop PVA glue wich costs: 7,50 euro's for 118ml while i can get 750ml of Pattex (wellknown glue brand) for 6,50 that is more than SEVEN!! times what i will get at games workshop

  • Half human???

  • @vidwatcher0nl the other half awesome !!!

  • @veneratedaniel

    That is so true!!

  • the glue gets u high and when you go out with your dad to a farm it makes it fun xD

  • I miss the old plastic glue that was a thinnger liquid and had a brush.

  • funny i thort chaos was hume

  • I'd like to see you review Testor's Liquid Glue #3502 on these models.

  • lol half human 1:15

  • super glue=FTW

  • cool video, but games workshop glue is shit, it goes hard after 2 weeks if you don't use it. then you have to throw the whole pot out. Also they make the glue pots poorly so too much glue always clunks out at the same time making it difficult to use very little glue, so you run out faster and go back to them. its fucking shit glue. And it doesn't bind the plastic together as well as most other hobby glues.

  • hes 1/2 human

  • And by the way DON'T SNIFF THE GLUE! xD

  • dont waste your money on the games workshop brand version, get some airfix stuff or another brand

  • i tried fixing my broken plastic seeing glasses so i could check LOS efficiently ....... it didnt work im sad to say

  • Luckily i'm only half human... LAWLZ

  • the humbrol one is so much faster than this

  • It's just diluted polystyrene cement you can get decent brand full strength stuff for a couple of quid in any modeling shop!

One other thing, isn't the GW plastic glue container plastic? smart move!

  • @RichieRemix id call it more of a solid rubber

  • @dljwallis

    there both hydrocarbon polymers

  • The only thing thats bad about plastic glue is that it melts together the pieces, if you find out later that "oh crap wrong weapon" you can't do anything about it, it's gonna stay like it the rest of your life, and annoy you until you find out that "enough is enough, now I'll cut it off" and then you cut it off and it looks even worse...

  • @AndersNB95

That's why you shouldn't sniff the glue before use it!

  • use transcribe audio XD

  • I use revell modelling glue, just as good, but a lot cheaper

  • Luckyly im only HALF HUMAN?!

  • @2h4d0wDK He's half human, half-Asian.

    AmDrag

  • @TheAmericanDragn Then hes like me :D

  • @TheAmericanDragn Then Hes like me :D... i only thought that i was the only one :P

  • poly cement. the airfix one is way better.

  • plastic glue sucks, its like $12 for 20ml when you can get the same amount of super glue as that for $2, plus super glue's better

  • You can make webs with this shit =)

  • I LOVE that guy

  • Wow, poly cement, but more expensive, and less accurate application. How can you support their BS products...

  • Testors model glue does this. i don't think it's as expensive either. I'm not knockin' GW product quality, but the prices can be outrageous.

  • ill pass super glue does just the same and is alot cheaper

  • @MetalAddar Also, it's alot easier to glue your fingers together with

  • Doesn't work on D&D minis. Been fighting a couple of figures for a few days now, and used well over half of the 7 dollar bottle (at my local shop) just to glue a freaking hammer on a hand!

  • half awsome.

  • Comment removed

  • if i ever buy GW products i am def buying from them

  • other plastic glues do that too. especially super glue

  • I love how Dave makes jokes about how he's half human.

  • THIS GUY IS TOO COOL !!!! :D

  • Im not trying to rain on your parade, but isnt that what all model glue does?

  • he funny ha ha

  • true that miniwargamer dave...it is a beautiful product...totally worth it imo

  • GW are overpriced, i can get plastic glue that does EXACTLY the same thing as what the so called"awesome" GW glue does for a few dollars cheaper..this is why i no longer buy gw products, i never buy their paints or modelling supplies and no longer will buy their miniatures.

  • @ChatPranks Um. How will you play their games if you don't buy their miniatures?

  • @teetertoter3 touche, i still buy their miniatures :( i can't help myself!!

  • lol i know youll get dizzy but it smells REALLY,REALLY awesome!

  • Comment removed

  • oh my god i hate it when ur eyes get watery from looking at seemingly fumy/ eye-stinging stuff

  • as much as i like gw i hate them sometimes too went in with my mate to play a few games and we relised we forgot a tape measure went to staff to borrow one and they told me they did not have any but you can buy one at 3 quid i know its only 3 quid but i go in there spend most of my money there and to say they could not lend one out is a joke any one else had the same

  • Just use the same kind of polycement that you get free with the airfix beginner kits, soooo much cheaper.

  • Thanks but no thanks. I'd use Humbrol Liquid Poly anyday over this. The little brush gives you much more control and also a bargain compared to GW stuff ;)

  • lol, "its now one head, BLAHH, its now one head" i love dave!! =)

  • Comment removed

  • GW plastic glue is the worst plastic glue I have ever come across. It is ludicrously expensive, you get very little, and most importantly, it dosnt work. It is thick, uncontrollable, takes hours to dry, if you try gluing arms they will drop out of pose. Now, the best plastic glue I have ever come across, is Humbrol liquid poly cement. It comes in a glass pot and uses a small brush for maximum control. It melts the plastic just like GW, but unlike theirs it dries in seconds.

  • I concur. ANY other plastic glue works better.

  • my cat fainted when he inhaled the fumes

i made him smell my socks then he woke up lol

  • yeah..... it`s fun with with fainting cats....

  • anyone in england go to modelzone, look at the range of paints they have almost every paint that gw has ( no washes ) for a pound less and there a lot better quality, anyone seen beast of war that metal nozzled glue, 2 quid! bit better then 4 quid, hell 1 pound for primer in the poundshop aint tried it but you cant go wrong for a pound, oh and modelzone 90p per brush

  • Half human? haha

  • It is awesome, but it's just "Polystyrene cement". Get it from your local hardware store for a fraction of the price.

  • @brunnjon what i do :)

  • @dragonslayer1st Me too! These guys aren't lying or anything. It's a great product for plastic models, but it's like ink cartridges...way too expensive. "Plastic Glue" is Methyl Ethyl Ketone or "MEK". It cost about $6 for a quart at a hardware store. GW & others put it in a tube, change the name and charge $6 for less than an ounce. That's 32 times more chemical for the same price. Look it up!

  • ive been collecting for about 8 months now and i found polystyrene cement works best never used mek but its polystyrene(plastic) Cement(glue) ive never heard of mek but yeah GM is way to expensive i live in britain and its £8 for a small tube and £1.50 for a bigger tube of polystyrene cement :P

  • The other half is a rapist

  • what happens if you sniff it(glue)

  • you get drowsy as hell ( after about 5 hours of the fumes)

  • Comment removed

  • WHATS THE OTHER HALF OF HIM????????

  • dont breathe the fumes theyll have you dancing around ina dress in no time

  • luckily hes only part human whats the other part?!?!?!?! oh it was a joke and i liked it!

  • try the revell plastic glue.

you get more for your money.

and it melts the plastik as well

  • Nice, but you can get plastic glue of equal quality at any other store for a much better price.

  • So... seeing as the bottle is plastic, will the nozzle get sealed shut? =(

  • lol half human

  • Wait, your if your only part human than is your other part Chaos?

  • no its asian

  • Reading here and around the web it seems Games Workshop stuff is overpriced. The local stores continues to be cheaper.

  • Funny. But all solvent-based adhesives melt the plastic. This is nothing special. Modelers call it 'polystyrene cement'.

  • half human are you half ork or tyrinid or somthing oh and you can buy plastic glue in big tubs from other supliers cant remember who though.

  • can get the same glue much cheaper from any reputable model shop. I use humbrol liquid poly.

games workshops own brand stuff is often very overpriced and poor quality

  • Don't breath the fumes because they're EXTREMELY CARCINOGENIC.

  • Most of GW products sucks especially glue and primer and are extremely overpriced you can get same quality for half the price using a different brand

  • Yea,thats right

  • @viature54 This. They sell PVA glue for $8, which you can get for $1 if you buy Elmers

  • @viature54 Ebay ftw lol

  • yeah don't breath it in my nose was burning after gluing 2 squads of space marine together it lasted for 2 hours.

  • daves other half is chaos lol!!!!

  • You guys all make me piss with laughter saying "Games Workshop is a rip off - buy it off ebay etc."

Yes, GW is more expensive, but what your paying for ( I think) is the sense of community in your store, Awesome gaming tables you can use for free, and staff who know what theyre on about and will fall over themselves to help you. Im a bit of a noob, but the staff at GW always take the time to talk me through army options and rules etc.

    IMO. x

  • i use the glue from revell

Its almost the same, but costs 2 Dollars^^

  • when i was working on my tau army for like 5 hours i got high on glue

  • me too !!!

  • dont buy warhammer from games workshop, buy it from ebay, hobby shops and online sites.

  • try tamiya extra thin cement , you get 10 times as much its more of a liquid than a gel still melts the plastic together and is so thin you can run it along the join after you have glued the parts together for a really nice seal

  • games workshop is a rip off. i like warhammer 40k but games workshop is a rip off.

  • Listen to your self lol "Games WorkShop is a rip off. I Like Warhammer 40K but Games Workshop is a rip off" you sound like a fuckin 11 year old

  • games work shop is a rip off and some of the staff are pricks

  • Really? Everyone ive ever met at Games Workshop were really friendly and helpful. If you think its a ripoff dont buy the stuff.

  • and were am i goin to get the my chaos i need.

  • well you probably know less than a quarter than they know

  • dude 3 weeks ago i went and spent 110 quid on orks and now i have got to and spend another 320 quid now more stuff. so the best way to get the stuff i need is find it somewhere else. and i am sick of spending more and more money at games workshop.

  • why? what do u have to spend 320 quid on?

  • i need paints and a shit load more orks dude

  • i understand your point

  • there is allways ebay

  • true....

  • @wardor100 Wow thats a lot of quids my dad will never ever let spend that much just sopt buying the stuuf bets advise

  • Eh don't take these idiots too seriously. They probably just feel like they were let down when their army didn't get redone or something. It's a classic salty gamer syndrome to whine on the internet about a game that you love to play and will never STOP playing anytime soon.

  • i got some and it had nothing in it

  • rofl

  • wow i'm half human too!!!!!!!

  • what do you mean your half human? ?

  • half human, half canadian.

  • hey...... :-P

  • Whoops! I meant half human, Half WARHAMMER FANATIC! YEAAAAAAAAGH!

(Smashes an empty bottle of plastic glue on head) SMELL THE FUMES!

  • @Saxmaster96 canadians are humans too

  • @Saxmaster96 NOT COOL but funny

  • The GW stuff isn't really that great, it's hugely over expencive. You can buy double to amount for half the price if you shop around and use different companies.

  • super glue 2

  • lol only half human

  • you're only half human? lol just kidding i know your human.......... well....not 100% sure dun dun dun

  • lol! lol!

  • can it glue metal heros?

  • no but they do sell super glue for gluing metal modules

  • lucky he aint michael jackson or he would b stuck 2gether lol
