My Sicilian grandfather sold produce there years ago. I love the West Side Market. They've got everything, including every kind of Eastern and Central European sausage you can imagine. Last time I was in town I got a Walleye sandwich at the diner in the corner -- great. And there are bakeries with kolacky and poppy seed roll. But nothing says "Cleveland" to an ethnic like me than the pierogi stand. (I'm Slovak too.)
