  • This was always my favorite DSOTM track.

  • HAHAAH YES i love hearing new floyd shit... anyone else notice the line from careful with that axe he throws in around 5:15 god yes.

  • !!!!ON a TRip!!

  • pink floyd es mi vida, amo esta banda como ninguna otra!!

  • this might be my favorit song on dark side, i just wish it was longer

  • What sucks is that if you are a group of 20-year-olds and you make music this good and this far out today you will never become a giant smash hit like PF did, because the music industry isn't interested in talent like this anymore. You will languish in the small time and maybe get a cult following and a myspace page or something. To be big you have to be a douche pop star.

  • @RCAvhstape In today's music scene, if a white group doesn't say "inside of me", to be heard as "in sodomy'" atleast 3 times on five different songs, they will never become popular like a 3 doors down. They become 3 Doors without a Jim.

  • Huge.

  • @njolnir like my D

  • Incredible.. Simply amazing.

  • I love this song, its great, its magic, its all... it tranquilizes me... it makes me think about life.. peace bro!

  • Got that moog is fucking awesome. I want one.

  • cute ass

  • Best Pink Floyd song ...

     Amazing Bass ...

  • wowow - seriously trippy workout. Love it. Floyd forever

  • love the way they jam this one out. the 75 was a high water mark in their touring, second only to the '71 fall tour, imho.

    great sound, thanks!

    wordofgord

  • Man this is sooooo good. I love my Floyd.A business partner told me I was mental because I listen to so much 70's prog......Can you f&^&*%%% believe that!!!!!!

  • @Progrose well he's ignorant...and a real motherfucking motherfucker:)

  • i love nick masons cymbals like his crash sounds so sick!!!!!!

  • Our band did a cover on this, I was hoping to get some opinions on it from Floyd fans. Check it out on our page. =) watch?v=2l3uTARZ0i4

  • Holy smokes! Man I love You tube sometimes. :) I was at this actual show, about 8 rows back from the stage sitting cross legged on the floor along with most others except those who were doing the trippy psychedelic dancing thingy, lol. I was 15,

It was, and still is one of the best concerts I've ever been to, and I've been to alot of concerts in my lifetime. The pic does no justice to the wicked stage show they brought with them, thank you for posting this, very fond flashback memories for me.

  • I like it. In order to Chinese horoscope I am a sheep 8-)

  • Listen to Pink Floyd from any era between 1967 and 1983...The bass was always predominate in virtually all songs from every album.

But I always found the way Dave and Rick interact musically was fuckin' capital.

Too bad Rick had to die for people to realize how important he was to the band...Roger may have been the brains but Rick was definately the heart.

  • thanks for sharing, by far best tune on the record and great live jam!

  • Cool to have a recording from the 1975 tour, saw them two nights later in Seattle. Memorable!

  • Stratospheric ....

    Great post. Thanks.

  • sup youtube

  • Roger grooving it up man.

  • roger is rockin that bass. He does in fact have an interesting style, eric clapton said so when he played with him. but yea he does a fair amount of walking, not very hard but sounds fuckin great. dont know why ppl say he sucks at bass, anyways everyone else is great as well, obviously. great tune! especially to get high to haha.

  • I used to think Roger was average at best until I started really getting into Floyd, then I realized that he's really quite good. I think he held back on purpose when it came to playing lots of notes on songs that don't warrant it, but when he wants to cut loose he's got a great sound. I also think he concentrates on songwriting and concept; Gilmour once complained that Roger didn't take the music as seriously as the songwriting. Whatever, Roger will always be THE bassplayer for Floyd.

  • @RCAvhstape

Tony Levin and Guy Pratt are technically a lot better at playing bass, but they don't sound like Pink Floyd bassists. Waters has a technique all his own, which helped forge and define that thing we call Pink Floyd. You could say that about any one of the band members; technically there are better players out there, but none sound as good as vintage Floyd. There's a spark and magic there that's not available anywhere else.

  • @5jerry1 Agree, and that goes for any classic lineup for any band, from Rush to the Dave Brubeck Quartet. It's not the sum of the individual talent (althought there has to be a basic level achieved), it's the full ensemble that makes the sound and how they work together.

  • @aripahs YES!!.... I started playing the bass just so I could jam along to Floyd songs, haha.... He has a very unique laid back stlye that is awsome for jamming.. him and Nick's rhythm section is awsome!!!

  • @aripahs Indeed, Roger rocks on bass but people need to understand that the simple things are hard to create amazing music like this one, it's not for everyone so Roger is great. After stuff are created, people can say its so easyyyyy but its hard to create it at start ;)

  • what was the 7th comment down?

ofcorse he said somthing idiot-esque, but im just curious

    LONG LIVE THE FLOYD!!

  • I think it was "Pink Floyd wrote Dogs"

  • back in the old days ...

  • wowzer!.....yeah thats right, I just said wowzer

  • aver!

quien se niega a decir que esto no es

    jazz

    ?

  • para mi la original es un psyco blues.... pero esto si suena jazz...

  • damn this a great performance

  • shit dan go easy on the guy, he doesn't understand that vinyls have limited amounts of space on either side. He's an idiot, and you're an asshole... and so am I, oh yeah, kickin live Floyd!!!!!

  • doogeh101, you must be one of Pink Floyds' late producers... actually you're not, so no one gives a shit about your opinion.

  • Darkside Of the Moon is a concept album. Its bassically two songs pretty much. Breathe - Great Gig In The Sky / Money - Eclipse) The a-side and the B-side. They just split it all up, cause its like a story . You have diffrent chapters, same deal in Darkside oF the moon.

  • An A-side and a B-side? On an LP? Really? Thank you, Captain Obvious!

  • Umm, ok, number one, what ever weed you have been smoking that makes awesome songs go by faster throw it all away, number two, it's 9 songs, not one, not two, but 9. So please get your shit straight before you post retarded comments on a vid that someone spent a lot of time and effort to upload.

  • great pink floyd

  • that is a great preformance and what a bad ass set list the had, the aduiance had to be very pleased

  • To bad the end is cut out. That's usually my favorite part of the song.

  • Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs".

  • you're a fucking idiot.

  • that synth (moog?) sounds so awesome

  • Leslie speaker?

  • no like 30 secs in rick comes in with some sick moog lines through an echoplex

  • @hotlanta71 it's actually an EMS VCS3 - it is insanely good though!

  • @nabxf No sir its mini moog

  • @nabxf VCS3 is the one used in 'On the Run'

  • many of the songs of dark side of the moon have the same rithm why?

  • it's a concept album. helps to unify the record, musically speaking. Breathe is brought about three different times in the record: the song itself, the reprise after Time, and the song you see above, which has been brought down from E minor to D minor. hell, every song past Money is based in the key of D.

Like I said, it brings about a greater feeling of unity.

  • sorry to bring up old post, but it sounds as though any colour you like is a major, but i love the breathe key change and the funkyness of it 5 *****

but still i could swears its a major

  • well, I dunno. the Dm-G progression works pretty well when I play it, a D-G doesn't have quite the same feel as Any Colour does. I solo over it in Dm, and that fits pretty nicely....

  • It's in Dm but, this recording is screwed up so it may sound like A.

  • @bollen91

    D minor 7th and G major.

  • @5jerry1 whats funny is that i looked back at the comment i wrote a while ago and thought to myself "wtf was i thinking?!" lool but no yh, ive had alot of musical theory training done since then *A2 music hellyeah!* and yh your right :) thanks for pointing my mistake out dude :)

  • @bollen91

I wasn't pointing out any mistakes per se; it's just there was some controversy over which chords were used. So I added my 2 cents.
