  • BEST HAIRCUT EVER!!

  • a great sample of the "golden and unrepeteable age" '65-'75

  • Great voice! Glad to find this video.

  • does anyone know if this concert can be found in mp3 form or was ever printed as music instead of video. this is the most amazing version of this song i've heard.

  • @vid9188 Y're so right

  • Did the Trinity with Julie tour the states during this period? Fantastic sound.

  • always liked this track and this is great version - thanks for uploading

  • Una coppia ineguagliabile, lui per il modo di suonare l'Hammond lei per il modo di cantare

  • Today musicians are lazy and have no competition. They don't practice or know how to play; they just want to party, have fun and be the best without doing anything. We keep giving kids contracts. I don't know who told the Industry that little kids are musically talented because they have no training, sing into auto tuners and can't even name all the pieces of their instruments. If you can't sing, can't play, can't perform and you don't practice; then you not suppose to have a contract! Duh!

  • In my opinion this was during the golden era of rock and roll. Due to the British Invasion, American had to be very competitive. Music had a message then. Today, music is divided and the people who listen to it are further distant themselves. Musicians often complain about how record sales are declining. In my opinion it's their own damn fault. Music was targeted to a massive audience and required a great deal of professionalism. Today it is targeted to clicks/groups of people.

  • I would love to hear Julie and Grace Slick sing a Duet...

  • on what albums is this song please i love it so much

  • @MPOURNOUZIS Reply from JULIE DRISCOLL & BRIAN AUGER TRINITY - Save Me (1969)! It wasn't released on an album until a few years later. It was originally released as a single. It was a cover song of an Aretha Franklin tune. Julie Driscoll and Brian Auger were in a band called Trinity. Brian Auger released this song on the album, The Mod Years 1965-1969. I don't know of any other record that has this track. This version on this video is way better than the single.

  • Another example of the greatness of Brit Rock in the sublime 1967-1972 period

I doubt it will ever be equalled..

Unfortunately I was born 5 years too late to appreciate it at the time,

    but I am now.

  • amazing Brian ... The Hammond Godfather ....

  • please save me !!!!! ;O)

how I love this performance ....

tks a lot sirlong ... I love you

  • fucking fantastic ,,,,love this ,,,

  • wow

  • I think I came while watching Ms.Driscoll in this video.

  • @mtopper66 , I couldn't have said it better..

  • A very rocking band. - with a legendary keyboardist. Their street noises album was one of my favorites back in 69.

  • I felt uneasy when she put her drink on top of the Clavinet 8-0

  • care of michael, groovy!

  • Amen to that Pur11zz ! It's just hard to listen to anything but old school any more!

  • kerrreeennnn....!!!

    greaaattt sooooonnnnnggg....!!!

  • brian auger for one day! brian auger for ever!!!!!!!!

  • I have seen things - raining - you people wouldn't believe, ..., I mean, I have seen Brian Auger play while sitting on the the stage just under his hammond bench. At the time there was no (need for) security so the crowd was allowed to "come over". An incredible experience. Too bad I have never seen JD sing live.

  • Now let's see ... we can use Protools to auto-tune the vocals, a VST soft synth for the keyboards .. then Reason/Redrum and some Acid loops for the bass and drums!! Then we can get this kind of magic ... right? ...

  • Verreweg de beste versie van save me. Als je dit hoort dan besef je dat de popmuziek een dementeringsproces doormaakt. Dit komt natuurlijk nooit meer terug.

  • i cant believe

  • This live version of "Save Me" is awesome! Julie Driscoll, Brain Auger & The Trinity can't be beat. Listen to the interplay of the Hammond and the Clavinet ...splendid!

Julie is one the best singers of all times!

  • @Scottstunesful Hear hear

  • Great original Aretha & Carolyn Franklin composition that borrows some horn licks from "Gloria", and here, probably the best cover ever made of this song. Julie Driscoll did a great job on her cover of Season of the Witch too.

  • amazing thank you you rock

  • julie-jools, please come back and do some good soulfood!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'd take her over Miley Cirus anyday.

  • Yess very very nice.

  • This is muzica!

  • did julie driscoll have cancer is that why her hair is so short

  • @geoffdoor Julie didn't have cancer. The hair cut is called a Pixie Cut and it's the Mod 60's look. Was very fashionable back then. :)

  • YESSSSSSSSS! this is the SHizzle Dizzle,

  • YESSSSSS!

  • Fucking awesome!

  • bellissimo-Juilie brava e piena di fascino

  • I have loved Julie Driscoll since 1968 album season of the witch came out. But where are all the songs on that LP? I want to hear them all. It put me in such a mood...I want to feel that again. JUDE

  • .Music is like candy; just have to throw out the wrappers. THIS IS MUSIC!

  • WOW, here's what I heard as a kid, and the piano in my house was ringing with what I could figure out. Thank you Julie Driscoll, Brian Auger!!! I will have to turn on my ew NORD B3 patch!!!

    xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox

  • love the band and saw this band at the fishmongers arms pub great sound ! great video thanx mate !!

  • Really good ! Is that Clive Thacker on drums ?

  • Julie is great!

  • 1969 and look where we have ended up in 2010 ! Lip-syncing bimbo's who are not worthy to walk in the shadow of Julie!

  • @Pur11zz Where are today's Giorgio Gomelskys? Today record labels don't invest a penny in real music. People like Simon Cowell and Pete Waterman have replaced rhythm in music with a single thump on every beat and disguised pieces of meat like Sinitta as "singers". The resulting mass consumption of karaoke and drum machine driven music has produced a generation of people without any grasp of real rhythm, so abundant in this recording.

  • Real music, real talent. The future is not always better certainly not when it comes to music!

  • This is sublime!!!!, hot soul chick julie, hot soul track!!!

  • She is so fucken hot!! her voice, the way she movies; BEAUTIFUL!! amazing song!!!!

  • GROOOOOOOOVIEEEEEEEE!!

  • glad to see I am not the only one who dances like that :)

  • It is so good to see this stuff. Brian Auger's band is just driving this incredible beat, and Julie is killing it with not only her vocals, she owns the stage.

  • This is how music should sound !

    Respect !

  • Julie married the mighty Jazz-pianist/composer Keith and became Julie Tippet. They are still performing together. Julie was also head of the Yardbirds fan-club in the mid-60´s.

  • Who came first Julie or Grace? wow both are fantastic

  • what would Simon, Paula, Kara, and Randy say?

  • the x factor brigade would probably think this band are aliens

  • no one like julie

  • Oh, this is so way out!! Worse even, they did at least two more fabulous tunes on this show, amongst them a killer live version on Auger's Black Cat. I have a terrible VHS boot copy of it somewhere, and that version chews skull!! My VHS copy on the other hand, doesn't. Anyone?

  • have you seen the video of black cat on here, its awsome!!

  • Fantastic cover of the Nina Simone classic. Whatever happened to Julie Driscoll?

  • fantastic, these pricks dont know music today, its all this x factor bollocks, this is real music.. bring it on...

  • death to those fools..............

  • @fireblade929

That tit cowell wouldn't understand it anyway!

  • What style this woman has !!! The hairstyle is superb, a lot of girls adopted this style when I was at school - What she is wearing could be today !! I have always admired her talent. Of course, Aretha Franklin is brilliant as well !!

  • Before this, all I knew about her is that she was in Steampacket with John Baldry & Rod Stewart. Three lead singers! And now that I hear her, she's realllly good.

  • Did aretha franklin do the original to this?

  • WOW! There will never be another Jools! She's an amazing vocalist! A fashion icon too!

  • TOTALLY agree!

  • Julie Driscoll Tippet is an asset you can alwys cont on her... I love her

  • pure music power

  • I was there & proud to count them as great friends still, roots mon!

  • I JUST LOVE IT!!!!!

  • And to think of that this HOT female singer some few years previous to this was the president of The Yardbirds' fan club... Well, that's good taste to me!!

  • This is TOP SHELF LIVE MUSIC and should be available everywhere! On the same show they also did a stunning version of Black Cat (Gato Negro)! Even without the precious miss Driscoll on vocals they MOVED!! Why isn't the whole show out on youtube? Or is it?

  • This band grooves like few contenders can.

  • she's mad cute and so damn talented!!!

  • Stoned Immaculate
