its not the camera itself that gets the good shots, its how you focus the lens and apply filters.

A thing that i learned that helps is if you turn your autofocus off and use the manual focusing ring :)

i use a HDR-SR1, its an old handycam, my trick to make make it look like a pro camera is to turn off autofocus and manually focus the camera, you can get some amazing shots.
