we have a grandson with this same heart defect, he will be 3 in september 2011 he has had 3 open hearts with one more we were told he would need by age 3 we just got great news that  hes doing so well he wont need it till next year, there are advances each day with this defect he as your child is in gods hands i know what you will go thru with the operations to come and none of it is easy god bless you and stay strong
