The right to change your mind is one thing but when he says point blank that he will refuse the job if offered to him and then hops up and down, does cartwheels, and then promptly accepts the position when offered, it reflects badly on his character and his integrity. He always had adoring words for John McCain until being nominated as VP. He never had any real compliments for Obama until Obama became the presumptive nominee. I would call Biden "Slick," but he's not. He is an obvious liar.

I have no problem with him flip flopping on that, but 1) in "Biden Tells Reporters He's Not V.P. Pick" was just a couple of days ago, and 2) in "Joe Biden Would Accept VP Spot If Asked" he admits he doesn't want to be VP, as if he's doing us all a favor by accepting the invitation from Obama. I just think it would have been better had he not commented to reporters saying he wasn't it, and that Obama picked someone excited to be VP.

A few days ago when he said it, he was trying to keep the secret safe as was everyone in the campaign, because they wanted it to be a surprise.

Every example before then was during his presidential run when NO ONE would say they wanna be VP. And if there were some afterwards, obviously you never wanna come out and say you want to be VP if you have no indication it will happen, that will just make you look like a loser.
