@901superdude Yeah it's not perfect but it's better than nothing. Unless you use a webcam, have a remote taking the pictures or use a tri-pod you will unfortunately always have camera shake. Blu-Tack just helps lessen it.
@TinyBricksTv They're Intertek desk lamps that I bought at Target. Really any desk lamps will do, I just got them because they're cheap and I didn't have other desk lamps at home.
@aduckproDUCKtion I plan on making more of these, but I am pretty busy so I can't guarantee how often I'll be able to put them up. Hopefully I can put up part 2 in the next few weeks to a month.
@Darthpennsylvania972 It's just a remote that happened to come with my camera and since it's a Cannon remote then I assume it wouldn't work for a Kodak. They probably sell Kodak remotes on Amazon or eBay though.
@StrawberryCamo try positioning the lights to be at a lower angle so that there are no shadows. altho personally when i use paper to diffuse the light i never even get any shadows.
@themaxbailey I use a cannon vixia hf200 but for brick filming purposes it's really not a great camera. I'd recommend a Quickcam Pro 9000 if you really want to get another camera.
@KDWorldBrickPix Yes, as long as you follow all the other steps I think you should be okay. I used to just use one lamp to animate too. You just have to be extra careful, that's all.
@KickX007 as long as you have good lighting, and you have HD resolution (or close to it) then the quality should come out good. is there anything specifically wrong with your quality (like is the picture grainy or something?)
@patrickthePEZ sorry i didnt respond sooner... the camera I use (which is different than the one sown in this video) is called a cannon vixia hf200. But, if you want to get a new camera I would recommend something smaller like a Legitech Quickcam Pro 9000. And to answer your other question, it takes a lot of pictures.... about 15 for every second of video.
@DarksideLegoStudios the reason why i ask is because i cant put paper over mine and mines only 18 and 13 watt bulbs because my dad thinks im gonna burn the house down do you think theres any other way to get rid of light flicker
Ha I have the EXACT same lamps!

Right now I only have one desk lamp. Is there anyway I can avoid flickering when I animate?

I like to have shadows in my videos. It makes more realistic
nascarlegoboy 6 months ago
@nascarlegoboy Yeah it does, but whenever there's shadows there's normally light flicker :( At least that's how it works for me.

electricanimations1 6 months ago
@electricanimations1 Here are a few other tips:
Close your curtains
Film at night
Wear dark clothes
Make sure you aren't creating shadows by blocking light from going on the set
Put your camera settings on manual, ALL OF THEM
Check that it isn't your light bulb that is flickering
Hope this helps!
